Both DT and Edge. I want Oladejo at Edge and Sanders or Alexander at DT. Stewart as an Edge in Round 3 would be very nice as well.

Alexander is older than the Jags GM (almost)

Howie is a wheeler and dealer. He's like a used car salesman in that regard. He's not going to let a few rejections slow him down, he's going to get right back at it again as soon as possible and likely already has some irons in the fire regarding where he can and where he can't get to just like last year with DeJean as the primary target. He knew right where to go for the deal he wanted to make, and it was mostly just about waiting for the pieces to fall in place. And fortunately for us, they all worked out beautifully.

Yup

If they don’t draft a DT, I see it getting picked up and a small extension to lessen the cost. Maybe 2 years.

That's interesting about the conditioning. I don't remember that being a reason he wasn't playing last season.

I don't want them to take him but I'd keep an eye on Wyatt Milum and Charles Grant today for the Eagles.

But I hope they go defense. Too many defensive players I love. God would Green in round 2 be so sweet, but not sure Eagles would take him.

I want no part of Campbell at EDGE. He's a stack LB. Let him rush as a blitzer and create more havoc.

Both our starting EDGEs can drop (Smith, Hunt). We couldn't do that with Graham/Sweat. If we get one more EDGE who can drop, this is a 4-2-5 defense where we can really mess up blocking schemes. For that reason, Scourton in RD2.

You’ve chosen Scourton over Oladejo? What tipped the scales for you?

Jahan Dotson gets one big catch in the SB and thinks he deserves #2

Howie said it's true they were trying to trade up in the 20s for Campbell. They had a top 10 grade on him.

Said no concern about injury, and they see it as long term pick. Talked about versatility for off ball or Edge.

When asked about him being local and if that's a factor to pick guys that will have local ties to make the transition easier, he didn't exactly answer that directly, but he said Dom did his research as he always does and talked to people that knew him and they always want to feel comfortable with a player.

I like that he talked about trusting Fangio and learning from him. As someone else said earlier, not many GMs would admit they still have to learn and he's been doing it a long time now and had success. Too many teams fire GMs for one move. The Eagles stuck with Howie, he got better and he can learn from the Defensive Coordinator without worrying about job security. It's about doing what's best to make the team win, and why they're going to continue to have success.

If he’s replacing slay as 2 then mandatory he starts a podcast and pisses fans off on Twitter with what he says

I don't remember it being said last year but that was the original complaint that seems to have been here since the start

Give me a solid S or DT

Yup

They been doing it far longer than Howie

They get a lot of credit and they are a very reliable playoff team, but their one and only SB appearance in this century was in 2000. So while they draft well, maybe not well enough.

I love that he's giving Vic the tools he wants

Of note in video Lurie says they were trying to get Campbell for last hour so that's consistent with he was who they wanted to trade up for all along

Reports from multiple people that they thought they had a deal done with the Chargers for 22 and the Chargers decided at the last minute to keep the pick. Thank God that happened because they got him anyway and they probably would have had to give up a 3 and a 5 or a 3 and a future 3, something like that.

One interesting thing is they traded with the Chiefs, last year the Commanders and in the past other division teams. It shows that these front offices treat it as business when it comes to trading draft picks, what benefits each team. They don't refuse to deal with a team because they are in competition with them.

They were pumping up Shedeur on ESPN last night -- I think anyone that legitimately followed the draft buzz knew that there was a very good chance he was not going to be taken in the first round last night. Teams don't see him as a year 1 starter. Hell, if his name was 'Johnson' and not 'Sanders' we probably wouldn't be talking about him at all.

That said, I saw a mock that had him going to the Raiders in the 2nd round. If he falls to the 3rd, someone will take him to develop him as a backup.

So, I saw a ton of buzz about Mike Green to the Eagles early on. He's (somehow) still on the board. Think Howie jumps up and nabs him?

I really don't want a TE today. Too many defensive players I love to take the 5th best TE to fill a hole you're about to create yourself. With a guy who will likely be much lesser of a player. Just Fing keep Goedert, a-holes.

I like Goedert, but he just can't stay healthy. Getting a guy that can step in for when Goedert gets hurt and/or replace him when we move on would be fine with me, too.

Have you tried adding fiber to your diet?

I really hope this kid crushes it in the nfl. The story of his mom having like 8 brain surgery’s and stroke his freshman year. He used his NIL to help his mom out.

As I have said in recent comments, Round 2 DT/Edge, Round 2 trade up, Round 3 BPA. That means plenty of competition for Ojulari and Uche … as @Iggles_Phan pointed out as well.

Yup.

I know it's wrong but
