Goedert is about to be traded/released soon, making TE our biggest need. That’s why Mason Taylor needs to be priority number 1 today.

It always cracks me up how the draft "experts" get locked in and refuse to adapt their opinions based on feedback from scouts or even NFL results. The whole Sanders thing reminds me of Justin Fields last year when the Bears were looking to trade him. Kiper actually said they should get a top 10 pick for Fields...and they got a 6th rounder. There have been a ton of reports that NFL teams don't like Sanders, but it's apparently a crime he didn't go in round 1.

We see it in reverse with Hurts -- guys like Orlovsky and Daniel will never let go of their draft opinions regardless of what he does.

They really need to stop retiring numbers period. In fact unretire all of them and just give them something in the rafters or something. It's a freaking finite number for Jerseys.

BG should hand 55 to Jihaad Campbell.

I've seen people post here today and last night a little trading Ringo if they get Will Anderson.

What would you get for him? A 6th rounder at best probably

When did a Ringo trade ever come up? Even Boston radio didn't go fishing on that.

I said the Eagles should package 64, 96 and Ringo to move up for Will Johnson as a hypothetical.

Now I have to tell RTK he was right.

I’m looking at what’s left and it’s about what I expected — lots of flavors of ice-cream depending what mood you’re in. No brainer picks don’t exist, but there are lots of enticing options depending on what you’re willing to risk, be it injury, size, athleticism, off field issues, positional value, skill set, or whatever.

If I’m Howie I see no reason to make a big move up. The cleanest prospects left for us worthy of a big trade up are probably Scourton, Ezeiruaku, and Amos. I like all of them. But do I want to give up multiple top 170 picks to get them? Not really. Especially when there are other good prospects at the same positions who can be found later.

So I expect a similar situation as last night. We will probably start calling when a player we like gets within 10 picks of ours, but we’ll probably wait for a small trade up of a few picks just to guarantee we get the guy we want.

Both the ILB and OLB coach welcoming Campbell.

HMMMM...when the pick is in, announce it. The Eagles pick was in last night but they had enough time to run 3 minutes of commercials. Also, stop having special guests read the picks. Half of them want to give a performance or a speech, others can't even pronounce the names. Just announce the damn picks.

But you don't. He said Will Anderson. No chance the Eagles and Texans make that trade. I suggested Will Johnson!

This is a great segment on Sanders and the buzz around him.

Mason Taylor would be a reach for a need. I just don't see this star TE potential others do. I like him, but I think trading up for him let alone taking him would be such a waste. Tons of great defensive players on the board. This DL is so thin right now. They're seriously one injury or one disappointment on the DL from red alert panic time. They still need another Edge and DT in a major way.

I'm actually fine with the secondary sans Safety. If they take a safety I'm cool with it, unless like Ezeiruaku is still on the board or something. But for safety just wait til the 4th or 5th and just take Helm or something. Or trade for Mayer from the Raiders. Gotta fill out the defense with depth today, we lost a lot on that side of the ball.

Absolutely would hate that move with the fire of a thousand suns.

Yeah, let’s trade a healthy, bigger, faster, more experienced, cheaper player along with a second and third rounder for one injured, slow guy.

Not in a million years would I ever consider this. This is Jacksonville level territory.

You're talking to me like I'm the one that wants to trade him.

Make the damned thing have less fluff in it. They waste time on content that doesn't matter and can't manage the fluff they keep in.

Day 3 is the worst offender by far. I just record it and fast forward through it now

funny I thought of that idea a few years ago. Hope they do not. Entire thing should go over 3 hours

Just announce the picks as they are made instead of waiting 2-3 minutes.

Goodell is a prime piece of idiot

Drafting for need? Targeting one guy? Seriously?

Just go away and come back Sunday. smoke

Goodell makes the draft a 3-day event and now says it's too long. The weekend format was great. They could go back to the Saturday-Sunday format with shorter rounds and make it a great weekend event.

For me, the primary reason I don’t buy the Campbell to Edge thinking is Fangio’s scheme. He loves deploying a light box, with its resultant benefit of having DeJean on the field as a 5th DB essentially all the time. In order to successfully do that you need LBs like Baun and Campbell who have the "do it all” athleticism that they have.

I will counter with this, Eagles play a lot of what looks like a 3-3-5 where the SAM plays mostly as a rush OLB. Primarily last year, that was Nolan. They list two DEs on EMB (their media kind of sucks on these listings as shown by the biggest of the OLBs and DEs is listed as a LB, Mathis), Huff and KJ Henry at 255. I have said over and over that Fangio prefers OLBs to edges because he prefers versatility. This isn’t a 4/3 team anymore and hasn’t been for a while. Their remaining "edges” or "DEs” were legacy and are gone. The traded Reddick, who refused to learn OLB traits and freelanced, lost Sweat, who could drop but wasn’t very good at it, and BG, who had versatility to the point he could play DE, small DT and even OLB, to retirement.

The Eagles are currently carrying 10 LBs/OLBs and 2 DEs and that doesn’t include Campbell.

He’s evolved the NCB to a quasi CB and SS type. Interesting that their backup FS was a DB first and now that includes Cooper, Cine and Castro-Fields at that designation. Now the EMB media folks decide that listing somewhat so take it with a grain of salt.

Tush Push as good as banned because of the nonexistent injury risk.

I was explaining that to a young NFL fan at the weekend. The draft wasn't so long and convoluted as it is now. Blew their mind that it just kind of happened.
