There's no chance they double dip at LB, but Danny Stutsman and Cody Simon are two of the top players left and two players I love.

You never know anymore man. Last year two corners back to back, paid a stud LB, drafted a 1st round LB after 46 years.

At this point drink, relax & enjoy the ride.

I doubt the Eagles see it that way. Smith, Hunt, Ojulari are locks. Huff probably is a lock based on contract. They’ve had eyes for Uche for awhile. Campbell is being mentioned by them as someone who can play edge.

They paid $2M for Uche, and $3M for Ojulari. Neither is a lock. Their 2 edges are Smith and Hunt. The others are reclamation projects that they hope hit, but if they do, they are likely gone next year. In 2026, its extremely likely that only Smith and Hunt will remain. They have holes at Edge.

welp, last night I was up till 2am with excitement.

Mukuba was my next safety after Starks so I love that pick. But this night ended with a fizzle. And now a bunch of annoying comments about Grant.

Calling it a night.

Panic trade once LV took Grant.

Certainly felt that way. Grant isn't exactly the biggest deal but seems like he did lose who he wanted

Funniest timeline would be Sanders goes back to college but has to choose a new number because his was retired

I saw a fleeting quote earlier today along the lines of Shaduer knowing the entire English language and doesn’t believe the word ‘hubris’ is real. I can’t find it again.

Well, he's not wrong. Hubris is Greek, not English. lol

Edit: It's Greek, not Latin. lol.

The clear explanation is Howie just doesn't like the talent available that much. Hence multiple trade downs. He wouldn't have traded down the first time if he didn't have a guaranteed guy he liked. Hence the second trade down. If there were a guy he liked at 96, he would have just taken him.

But never let reality get in the way of a negadelphian narrative.

On one hand it does feel that way. On the other hand, is a 2026 5th rounder that important to Howie?

Hopefully they league wide collusion against Sanders is what ultimately ends Goodell's tenure as Commissioner.

Could have happened much earlier in the round with other players being gone.

No, it's clueless fans speculating.

Howie has spoken at length about this. He doesn't do cute. We make small trades UP to get the guys we want, like Campbell and Carter.

He didn't value Grant like some fans did. It's that simple.

By all accounts he tried a semi major trade up but got rejected and Campbell dropped to us anyway. He’s not infallible…Grant is a ‘fan fav’ and very well could have been a target. However, Howie and Co love late picks for priority UDFA’s…this is a good trade for that, even if they coveted Grant.

Yeah. I believe you see it that way. I don’t believe the Eagles do.

I know everyone loves DeJean in the slot, but maybe Makuba eventually slides in to the slot and DeJean is CB2? I doubt it, but just thinking.

Yeah they obviously didn't love Grant or they'd have stayed put. I like Travis later myself

With an extra 4th now, give me Skattebo

Would like Jaylen Reed even though we already drafted a safety.

Here’s the new mountain for Sanders to climb to get drafted.

NFL coaches and GM’s have spoken. He could be Brady, Ryan Leaf, or anything in between. But NFL coaches and GM’s do not see him as a first round quality prospect. If they did, he’d be selected. This isn’t that he can’t be a HOF’er, just how he’s clearly graded right now as a prospect.

So, no one was willing to hand the keys to the franchise to him.

Does he have the QB talent and ability to be a fantastic draft pick as a backup qb with the developmental plan that you maybe get lucky and wind up with more? Absolutely. But those guys sit anonymously under the radar. Does a GM/coach combo even want to consider the Sanders circus for a guy they are sliding into that role? That’s a chance prime Belichik, AR might take for their own amusement and arrogant disregard for the hoopla it might create. Anyone else is going to be having nightmares of Deion speaking into 50 microphones about how you are screwing over his son with the offense you run, not playing him, etc.

That will really dampen his value as we get deeper into the draft….and will get closer and closer to something Howie might actually pull the trigger on.

It isn't really an 'extra' 4th... its a 3rd that's turned into a 4. The 'extra' one for this year is a 6.

Walley and Parrish went earlier. 2 visits at CB after the earlier run on outside CBs.

Josaiah Stewart went. Another visit.

Wyatt Millum and Fairchild went earlier too. 2 more visits.

Bunch of players clearly on higher tiers than Grant. That wasnt the spot for him. The better players on their 3rd round board were gone.

Travis was a visit. They may like him later. Lundt is also another very intriguing OT project.

Still lots of DL talent available. And Helm. Couple WRs. Lots of RBs.

I’m not that mad about missing out on Grant. I’m more annoyed they didn’t move up for Stewart. He’s a stud man and the cost as we saw was a mere 5th rounder.

It appears the Eagles don’t believe they have the needs we do
