But they only play on obvious passing downs so you can fill those roster spots with "one trick ponies."

These guys are cheap to obtain, 240-250 lb speed rushers who struggle to set the edge or drop into coverage, and have to play STs to dress.

The guys who require high draft picks/big contracts are either true OLBs like Smith and Hunt, or 285+ lb 3-4 DEs who are athletic enough to move out to DE on passing downs.

These guys play 40+ snaps and are key players in this defense.

No they don't.

You might want to rewatch last year's games to see how Vic used the front 7.

Hopefully they league wide collusion against Sanders is what ultimately ends Goodell's tenure as Commissioner.

Maybe those who evaluate NFL talent have spoken, and told the dratniks that he is not very good

I think hes pretty good but his attitude is just that poor.

That stuff is all nonsense. Watts was misjudged by the media. That doesn’t make him good value. It just makes them wrong

You mean like they were with a certain QB everyone is talking about?

He’s not good enough to deal with the attitude and the father. That baggage is a deterrent for all teams. You need overwhelming talent to make them deal with that

yeah. The Kaepernick conundrum.

Who do you think they tried to move up for?

Stewart. Noel Williams, Porter. and Revel would all make sense.

I think he's not good enough to make up for his attitude. Jeff George was really good too, but couldn't last anywhere, because of his attitude. In his case, the NFL found out too late.

What??? Do you have proof that Watts was misjudged?? PFF and many others rate Watts higher than Macuba.

Besides at the time there were a good DE Ashton Gillotte, TE Harold Fannin, and Darien Porter CB available.!!!

I would have preferred any of them over Macuba.

I think it’s clear the Eagles don’t see any starters in the group left. Even Mbow. They wouldn’t have traded back if they did

I don't think he's that good. Seriously, name 1 NFL level trait he has to build around? He's not athletic, not big and strong, doesn't have a great arm, not particularly accurate, not a great leader. What exactly makes him a potential starter, setting aside the circus?

He's just not that good, and when you add his attitude and media spotlight, no one wants to deal with it.

Well no team of NFL professional scouts picked him before 96

Don't think it was Stewart. He only went a few picks before and the price for that range was only a 5th. Eagles could have gotten that done.

Hot take: if Sanders makes it to their late 4th the Eagles should take him. I don't think he will make it there though.

Absolutely not

Howie traded out of the pick knowing the Falcons were drafting Watts. Normal procedure when a team asked to trade up is to ask who they intend to take with the pick.

I like both players a lot, but obviously the Eagles have a higher grade on Mukuba

Exactly.

Unlike Sanders, Jeff George had one of the most gifted arms the sport has ever seen. Supernatural arm talent. Coaches will take a chance on that because if you make it work you might have something special.

Sanders has NOTHING you can hang your hat on and say, "after all this work and dealing with problems, I might have something special."

Yup.

I liked Charles Grant, apparently Eagles not so much, guess trust Stout on this.

For what purpose?? McKee is a better prospect at this point. DTR might even have more upside

Swinson, Walker, Sorrell. Ingram-Dawkins and Elijah Roberts are all viable Edges. Zah Frazier and Cobee Bryant are viable CBs. Jaydon Blue is a RB possibility. CJ West is a DT, as is Ty Robinson.

Kap wasn’t a good QB ever though, he limited your team severely to make him effective…Sanders is a very good QB prospect. Him and Ewers both falling this far is FAFO type stuff…both relatively good and potentially franchise QB’s, but their egos and attitude are in the way. Sanders has his Dad as another road block.

He's not that big and not that athletic. Long arms, he's smooth, but you can find a long armed decent athlete who is 310 pounds all over the place.

Jalen Travis is the guy I think they want. Huge, athletic, long arms, and can be had on day 3.

I would have been OK with Milroe in the 3rd or 4th.

Absolutely NO to Sanders.

That is ridiculous. It would be crazy value and the Eagles like to invest at QB.

Id never seen Sanders play until the bowl game against BYU, I thought id watch and see what all the hype was about, turns out it was much ado about nothing, Colorado got rolled and Sanders looked horrible.

I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as maybe he just had a bad game, seems my first impression that he wasnt a1st round qb has been substantiated by the draft
