I don't know why, but I have a sneaky suspicion that we might see Reddick return one a 1 year prove it deal.

Can see this, if Huff is gone post June 1st cut or a trade. It's probably burning him up missing that Superbowl ring opportunity.

Eagles fired him after 2023

I'd actually forgotten about Fernando Noriega too.  For a second I was "WTF??"

Seemed like there were rumblings that he might have been part of the locker room issues in 2023

From his point of view he did prove it - I think he holds grudges and moves on.

Yea, the rumblings I heard were they weren't happy with Davis and Carters conditioning specifically and threw Rath under the bus.

I think Williams and Sweat are as good as gone. I don't think they'd get close to those numbers for either.

Hunt and Ojomo will be asked to step up.

They'll also draft 2 more guys in their place.

What does everyone think the Eagles walk away numbers are for Milton and Sweat?

I think if Milton gets above 22ish then they're a hard out. I think they'd try to make it work if it's in the 18-20 range. I got the sense last offseason they didn't view Sweat in their future plans, but I think they'd be willing to keep him if he's in the 12-14 range, but I think he'll get more.

There is still a chance they keep Sweat on a reasonable deal like that to erase his dead cap number this year and defer. That would be very Howie like. But I think your numbers are right. I see Howie signing Williams if it's for $21M or less. He drafted him and knows what he has. And can fit him with Baun to keep this Superbowl defense dominant.

I think that chance is less than 1%

They already made him take a pay cut once.

He already said how important it was to hire Rosenhaus ahead of free agency.

I don't see why he would take a reasonable deal unless no one wants to pay him.

Yes. I think he was part of that collapse. However, his bargaining position is so much different now and may wanna come home and reestablish himself. But getting a little older. He's probably a hired gun mercenary type player on an annual basis going forward.

Oh yeah I think he's gone. Only if he gets lowballed can I see him back.

If Eagles lose Sweat, Williams and Slay on defense, it is doubtful that they are a number 1 type defense next year. If you lose just Sweat and Slay and keep Baun and Williams you are still in the hunt for that type of defense assuming we keep Baun as well. Also, replacing Graham is now a new need with the depth chart. Just can't see losing Sweat, Slay, Williams and Graham in one fell swoop.

Like I said in a previous post, Baun gets money earmarked for Dean this offseason. And Williams gets money saved from Sweat, Slay, Bradberry and Graham departures. Pretty even swap and salary cap keeps going up.

It all depends on who they add and how younger players develop.

If we are lucky the Cowboys grab him for a bunch of picks. Mailata knows him well and will neutralize him. But more likely Commanders grab him with all their cap space.

I'm pretty much assuming that's where he is going

And give up your banner unveiling Week 1?

I sure hope the banner unveiling is better than the last one. If you remember, that opener against the Falcons was delayed significantly (maybe forty-five minutes) because of a thunderstorm. So when they finally got the teams on the field and were ready to start the game, they had almost no time for the unveiling. It was so rushed. Yes, it happened but it was more along the lines of fans casually looking over and noticing that the drapes were coming down than an actual ceremony where they made a big deal about it. Basically if you blinked, you missed it.

Cap keeps rising, as the Eagles keep laughing at these interest-free loans.

Gotta ask. Why do you misspell Mahomes name like that? You've been doing it for years.

Hear you, but something special about this defense's chemistry and culture, especially with the young guys. Can afford to lose the vets who have peaked. Don't want losing any young studs at this point in the timeline. Maybe in a couple years when you are fat with 2 more Superbowls.

Watched the Chiefs a lot in last few years and they keep losing parts on that defense and it's starting to be less championship quality. Got to guard against that happening til later on, when it's impossible to keep everyone.

Doesn't autoplay anything for me.  Maybe it is a setting you need to set.

Overall, I thought DAZN was definitely better.  It seemed to take a bit longer to get the stream started but once it was going it was very stable.

I've looked a few times and couldn't find the setting. It even did it on the Xbox...

I'm curious how a Netflix situation would impact the local broadcasts.  Currently, for all Eagles games on Thursday Nights, they have been picked up and broadcasted locally on the Fox (IIRC) affiliate in the Philly area.  I wonder if Sunday games on Netflix would also get picked up by a local station.  Personally, I hate the streaming games.  The feeds just aren't that good for me.  (I know, its likely my internet connection @HazletonEagle ). But, I just don't like how it looks when streaming games, and I have no interest in adding another subscription service.   I might end up just being an Eagles fan and start to ignore the NFL if this ever goes through.  One of my biggest buggaboos is the commercials added to these premium streaming services.   If I am paying specifically for something, I shouldn't then also be subjected to ads.  When I watch on broadcast TV, the ads are how I am paying for it.   But, if I am paying out of pocket for the subscription service, I shouldn't also have to pay through the ads as well.  To me, that's double dipping and might be enough to make me tune out on Sundays outside of Eagles games.  As it is now, I really only watch Sunday games, unless the Eagles play on Thursday or Monday.   I'll catch the occasional MNF game, but never tune in on Thursday outside of opening night.  The TNF product is just bad and the NFL needs to fix it.

And for us over here, the Netflix games weren't on domestic TV at all. I didn't check DAZN because It was Xmas and the last Wallace and Gromit special was way more interesting, but there were some complaints for us about added costs between TV and DAZN. I'd assume local markets will be ok, but if you are on the west coast (as an example), could likely mean forcing you to take a new subscription out.  Not sure why the NFL want to make it harder to watch their product?

As for commercials, a lot of fans over here lobbied to get DAZN to put on your commercials over an infill because they are entertainingly bad (take this pill, but you may die from the side effects). TBF, Prime shows ads in their Champions League coverage over here TBF

Why would Sweat want to take less than Huff got last season? I like Milton but I just don't think he's worth keeping in that kind of range given the other deals the team will have to make.
