Yes! Start counting the Carter-produced fumbles now.

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

Oh great…big e will be defensing him to the death lol

No Edge guys left in this draft. I think they have one of the weaker Edge groups in the NFL, but we'll see what Howie has cooked up post draft.

McWilliams isnt an exciting pick. But the eagles took McPhearson in a good CB draft hoping he would be something even though he stunk.

McWilliams is being drafted as a backup nickel. He may never be a starter but we dont need him to be. Hes probably good enough to be a backup nickel.

DT and Corner. What we needed. What's next? TE?

The lack of TE yet again makes me a sad panda

Awkward lol

Very odd that they saw him as BPA there. But whatever.

Thats just a horrible take with Hunt and Smith starting

MacWilliams is a NHL ready backup, he's a slot CB who plays the way the Eagles like, he'll support the run (a lot of smaller slot CBs shy away from contact), he's got short area quickness and agility.

He's not starter material, but your 4th/5th CB/ST guy.

Which is fine, his job is the add depth and fill a specialized role.

NFLN has now made it to pick 151 and still talking about Sanders. They even broke away from GB and now in the studio talking about it. My goodness.

Theyve really focused a lot on backup nickels for some reason....

I guess it is a need though. What do we do if DeJean goes down?

He looks to be a sure handed tackler. Maybe he can start off of special teams. Definitely seems like slot CB

I was expecting one too, but tbh I'm kind of relieved because I didn't want Goedert moved and I would think no TE via a pick or a trade during the draft points to him staying.

Still would have been nice to have someone to develop behind him this year that has legit upside.

Man this comment is giving me flashbacks to 2010.

9 more players to go till the eagles are up.

Watched a fair amount of his game. I like him better than Ricks, Nickerson. He’s depth at this point. I would have taken Hill if his medical checked out.

What? Nolan Smith has one half of a good season under his belt, Hunt played well in the playoffs for a very small sample, but wasn't dominant. Neither are likely to be TJ Watt level elite tier pass rusher. And they have guys behind them who've been busts in the NFL.

There is a high level variance there. A ceiling of pretty good, but certainly not tops in the NFL. With a floor of one of the worst groups in the NFL. The Eagles really need Nolan Smith and Hunt to not just be good, but be top level starters to carry this group. If we get the low end outcomes of any combination of the guys, it's going to be a subpar group.

Hope the commentators go back to draft then.

Howie took a backup hockey player???

WTF???

The guy thinks outside the (penalty) box, how do you think we got to where we are?

It's rare to find a starting CB outside the 2nd rd. By the 5th rd, you're looking at backups and ST guys.

Most of the starters at this point in the draft are interior OL, safeties, run stopping DTs, ILBs, blocking TEs and RBs - guys with more limited athleticism who can fill roles.

Otherwise you're gambling on good athletes who are coming off injuries, are raw (small college) or have character issues (which Howie won't touch until late in the draft).

Welp, they've skipped 13 picks so far...
