Hate to say it but this has been a pretty garbage draft for the Eagles

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

Doesn’t really sound like it according to Fran… Purely a back up center

Now Fran is reading some stat that is positive for him.

So this draft suggests they are high on Ringo but not so much on S. Brown. Also signing Mondon might imply they fear Dean's injury could stifle his career trajectory.

This pick is very interesting... considering the extension they just gave to Jurgens. Can he play OG?

Why would the extension matter for this pick? We’re not hunting for starters in the fifth round

Wouldnt you say they still needed a backup C?

They're going to create an 8th round just for Howie.

Sounds like Kendall could be moved to guard at his size and his RAS score. Although i believe they announced him as a center. Outside the box thinking maybe if they think Kendall can be a starting C that if jurgens isn’t ready he can fill in or if steen/green fail at G they can move jurgens back to guard and go with Kendall at center but i don’t think that’s likely

Did they just say 4 six round picks? lol

Even if he's healthy, Dean is getting starting LB money next year. I don't see them paying him. They also lost all of their LB depth. LB was a sneaky need.

I wouldn't be surprised if the cap has something to do with trading down.

If you don't have 4th and 5th round grades on these players, dint overpay for them just bec you have the picks.

Might only save you a few hundred thousand here and there, but considering their future cap situation, they need all of the cap space they can get

Last 3 picks show you they are shopping for backups. Nickel, LB, and C.

Howie is blowing value at this point. Dropping back 15 spots for a 6th round compensatory pick is useless. Either trade them for better picks next year; or I’d have rather we traded up yesterday and had 2 2nds. Right now we’re just stockpiling players who are even less likely to land on the roster.

Unless we have some deals in place for an affordable vet for someone round picks.

At this point the talent curve is very flat. These lottery tickets have similar odds of hitting. Better off with more bites at the apple.

(Yes. A three metaphor post. I win the day.)

5th round picks are not indictments on starters, they're depth/future development.

So upset. A few days ago someone asked who we thought was most likely going to be an Eagle and couldn't re-find the post as i was going to say Kendall

And if you cut them it helps, too ;)

Interior OL can be starters late in the draft, or did we forget about 62?

Kendall shown by the team as a C/G.

As it should be. Seems to have room to get bigger. Bigger frame than Dillon McMahon.

10 more players till the eagles pick.

Ringo & Ricks I think, as well as Mekhi Garner have solid foundation of football.

Idk why anyone would have confidence in our backup safeties of last year. SB can hardly control his emotions and really isn’t impressive in deep coverage.

Trades only happen if another team is willing to trade with you

Rapsheet just said the Eagles would like to keep Goedert.

Man I remember 12 or 13 rounds but there was a point when it was a 20 round draft. Imagine how many trades Howie could make in a 20 round draft! Makes my head spin just thinking about it.
