They very likely had a visit with Jihaad, but because he’s from Philly they don’t have to disclose it and it doesn’t count against the 30

Same with McCord.

Looking at our roster...

Do we have the most talented group of off ball LBs in the NFL?

Baun, Dean, Campbell (obviously will play a lot as a pass rusher), Mondon and Trotter. That's a really good group with a ton of athleticism.

Sounds like a Graham'esque style player.

Andrew Berry looks like someone just told him that he was being audited.

Not necessarily directed at you

Its a part of the story, but not the whole one. If you can run a good 40 but have no stats. Irrelevant

Sounds about right

We have a lot of TEs now. Just not a #1 type besides Goedert. Not sure a UDFA has much of a shot

He's kind of the polar opposite of Graham.

He wins pass rush reps with a quick first step, good hand usage, and a spin move. Short arms and lacks a power rush, so he's looking to get around the corner. Doesn't set the edge well at all in the run game.

Think of him as a role player. You put him out there on third down and let him pin his ears back and rush the passer. You don't want him on the field on rushing downs and he has zero potential to rush from the interior.

I figure the eagles like the two TEs they signed.

But, there are a few sleepers still left. And if we keep Goedert, that means some UDFA has a chance to develop.

Luke Lachey could easily win the #3 spot with the potential to become a high quality #2 or maybe even a mid tier starter down the line.

Sadly I think they extend Goedert

I think that would be great --- especially if they could put more incentives into it as well.

How though?

Probably just a verbal commitment. Actually kinda smart if he or his agent put it out there in the hopes of getting him drafted.

Either Williams or Hinton will develop some mysterious injury in training camp and go on IR. No way they are keeping two rookie OTs plus a rookie center.

makes no sense. they cant practice on IR, so they cant develop. What would be the point of that?

It was always used and talked about, it was RR’s "Jordan Davis has a RAS of 10 so he should play RB/TE” that drew complaints

We drafted enough guys to get a player or two if they don't work out in TC. Let's see how they all do before handing out roster spots to 6th rd picks

It really is great seeing these.

Any veteran free agents of interest? Everyone assumed they'd sign a safety. Now that they just drafted Mukuba you'd think that's off the table, but I wouldn't entirely rule out Simmons if he can be had for dirt cheap. I'd rather have him than McCollum just as depth and insurance. Or Blackmon. And let the group battle it out in camp.

I mentioned Za'Darius Smith before. A veteran Edge presence to replace BG that's hungry for a title. He's simply a better player than Ojulari and definitely Uche. Uche Fing blows, as far as I'm concerned he's a long shot to make the team. Still don't get why they signed him.

Asante Jr?

Elijah Moore? Probably gets paid more than Eagles could do.

Trade for Michael Mayer? I think the Eagles would've done that in the draft if that was a thing. But maybe not.

Handing roster spots, or handing out IR spots are two opposite extremes. What makes the most sense is letting them play through camp and pre-season and make the right decisions with the practice squad so the guy can develop rather than stashing him in the training room and letting him do nothing pertaining to football.

Best remaining players according to NFL.com. Which ones would you like to see as UDFA signings by Howie? Quinn Ewers is #1 and Nazir Stackhouse, the Georgia DT is #26

It only makes sense if they are not realistically going to play this season based on where they are in development. We did that with Mailata for obvious reasons, because he showed too much potential to expose on a PS, He just wasn't far enough along to provide "competent" depth.

I do wish the NFL would alter the rule some --- or just increase the actual roster size by 6-8 players if they really plan on going to an 18 game season.

Drew Kendall on his presser suggests he has played G and C. Was moved to C at BC to get immediate game time.

I am never not shocked by Clint Hurtt's size. (that's what she said)

Mailata was carried on the active roster. He was no IR'd. Again, on IR you dont get to develop. You can not practice with the team on IR.
