What is the likelihood of 4 blue chip players with only one pick in the top-50?

This draft's success rides on Campbell, Mukuba, and Robinson. Anything we get from the fifth round on, like in all drafts, is a bonus.

I just meant that as in going to get the guys they want and feel can make an impact, rather than continually trading down because they don't see value at a current pick.

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

Mailata was carried on the active roster. He was no IR'd. Again, on IR you dont get to develop. You can not practice with the team on IR.

Yup. He got a back injury usually the last week of December in the first two years, IIRC and they freed up that roster spot for the playoffs. Other than that, they carried him on the active roster and he was deactivated for each game.

In three words … Designated Pass Rusher.

That same description could be applied to Huff.

Huff is more "Definition of Disaster" based on last season.

I believe that they were clear eyed as to when all the 'impact' players were gone. Once that happened, might as well collect as many bites at the lottery ticket that you can.

Luke Lachey went late. Was a TE option

Nick Nash to the Falcons.

Jah Joyner to the Raiders

Patriots selected the wrong Kobe spelling variant at CB.

Give me Stackhouse & Hill or Bryant

Shaun Dolac to the rams.

I understand that but I don't see how they keep three rookie OLs. Better to stash one on IR than expose them to waivers. If you could guarantee me the one that is cut won't get picked up on waivers and will go to the practice squad then I would be ok with cutting that player.

Here are the OLs right now>

the 5 starters

the three rookies

Green, Keegan, Lamb, Pryor, Toth, Kinnard

Toth will definitely be cut. One of Keegan/Green will be cut. Then who?

I think they carried 11 most of last season. Usually dressed eight (starting 5, Gates, Steen, Fred), with Keegan and Kinnard always sitting. I think Toth/Driscoll flowed in and out of the 53-man roster.

So 5 starters, 3 rookies, and Green are most likely to stay. Pick any 2 or 3 from the rest. And we don't know at this time if any UDFAs make an impression.

Players need to buy a burner phone for the draft to avoid this nonsense

Yup.

Buy a prepaid nothing phone... and only give that number to the NFL folks. Then, if any other phone rings, its not the NFL. If that one rings... NFL on line 2.

Blue chip? Unlikely. Depth and role players? Much better odds.

LOL @ Schefter for being such a liar.
