Lenny Dykstra outta nowhere

I wonder if anyone else is as surprised as I am that Dykstra was able to correctly spell 49 words in a row. Granted some of them were extremely short words (or numbers) but still. Of course he did forget the final period but let’s not nitpick.

Gillotte was picked with the 2nd pick in round 3. Porter got picked with the 4th pick.

I can't figure how you think Howie would have ended up with those players if he didn't trade down from the 32nd pick.

There were really good players at the end of second round that were picked. We had the draft ammo and could have moved up in the second to get Mike Green, Trey Amos, Shemar Turner, Omar Norman Lott. But ....we didn't. Instead Howie moved up in the first..and in my personal opinion wasted a 5th. Because all indicators were that KC was going to pick an OT.

Do I hate on Mukuba:? Not at all!!! But I preferred Amos or Norman Lott in the second.

Is there even room for Bryce Huff on this team?

Nolan Smith, Jalyx Hunt, Jahiid Campbell, Azeez Ojulari, Josh Uche, Antwaun Powell-Ryland. I know Campbell is LB, but he'll be playing plenty of edge. I think Ojulari is a lock and really excited to see what APR can do. That's 5. Uche has talent too.

If you include Campbell, you need to include Baun as well.

If they didn’t add anyone, there would still be no room for Bryce Huff on this team.

You guys are a tough audience.

Look, I know you all hate him, and for good reason. But to be honest at this point I'd be down to invest one of our six day 3 picks to draft Sanders as a backup qb. 😄

They almost look they were coerced into making that selection. I've never seen a less enthusiastic coach/GM pairing about a draft pick. Unbelievable.

I hope he does well. I'm certainly not rooting for him to fail.

However nobody is talking about how usually QBs go to Cleveland to die. They don't have a good track record of developing QBs and the organization itself isn't run particularly well. Both not good signs for Sanders.

On top of that, if he does not do good there, there will be a mountain of excuses for him from twitter idiots and the media. Don't be shocked if Cleveland struggles again this year that the coach Prime to the Browns train starts up.

Also nobody wants to mention that there really isn't many teams that need a QB. Pittsburgh, Cleveland, New Orleans. Then you have teams that could have taken him to be a backup with a chance to start in Indy, NYG, Vegas and Seattle. Even those teams have their starters in place but they aren't very good.

Howie didn’t trade with KC because he was worried the Chiefs would take Jihaad Campbell; he traded up with them so nobody else could trade in front of them and scoop him.

And Browns took an LB with the next pick

Seattle signed Woodard. Nice LB.

Well, I immediately noticed that Gabe Taylor can run. So I looked it up. 4.38 40. 36'' vert.

I'm mean you shouldn't have to explain that. It's not that hard to understand. Crazy that it is to some people.

I say his 4.65 pro day 40 is incorrect.

Two grisled vet coaches that have earned the benefit of the doubt.

Howie is fast becoming a grizzled vet himself. Nick is the whippersnapper.

Eagles have not done well with UDFAs the last few years, maybe b/c agents steer players to weaker rosters?

That might explain why Howie wants those 6th and 7th rd picks, easy to get other teams to throw them into deals and allows you to target guys you'd struggle to sign.

This has been said many times. The contacts with the players throughout the process give the teams a very good sense of which players want to sign as uDFAs, and which ones are vacillating. Use the picks on the latter ones and sign the former ones after Mr Irrelevant is selected.

Well, Ive been at it too long today. Logged off twitter till next year's draft. Hopefully tomorrow the UDFAs will be complete and we will know who all is signed, and who is coming for a tryout. Need some clarification on Taylor.

Josaiah Stewart is the player I regret the Eagles didn't go get. He on the Rams with Verse, is a really good line.

Yep, wanted him badly. He’s so explosive. Could’ve easily got him too, but it doesn’t appear they had any interest in any of the Edges in this draft outside of round 1. They could’ve gotten several of them and constantly passed on them.

We have 11 picks next year. Maybe there is a trade in the works for someone still on their rookie deal?

12 picks now. Added one in the Atlanta trade yesterday.

I think he measured as expected. Solid athlete, short arms. Disagree with you on the run game. He gets moved at the point of attack. Maybe he can get stronger but OL are always going to be able to get into his pads because of this.

I like him a lot as a third down pass rusher. Good prospect for that role. Don't think he can ever be an every down player though.

I've watched every snap for the last two years as a fan and just didn't see it. He was all over the field and has a good nose for QB's and the football. That said we've seen people flash and not translate. While I'm happy he's an Eagle, I'm on reserve because you just don't know and the people who claim to know such things are saying his arm length is a liability.

I think there will be a lawsuit. And there should be. This stuff needs to stop.

Lawsuit for what? Pranking him?
