This guy actually put out there that he thinks he'd be a good NFL GM, because he's spent 12 years covering Howie Roseman.  He literally said that he thought he was qualified because he feels he's so much more knowledgeable about the salary cap than beat writers of other teams.

A quick peek at his notebook and we see it all so clearly...

Again, if SF can pay Hargrave at 4/84 at age 30. Then I am happy to pay him that at age 25 two years later. Had dominant stats with 2nd Highest rush grade/pressure rate and top 5 win rate. He and Carter dominate the next 4 years with Ojomo and Davis backing up for 2 years. Signing up for that dominance all day. It's easy decision here. Also, gotta show the defense you are going to pay your own. It's a motivator that you're next in line. Strip sack and recovery and dominant performance on the largest stage did it for me with Williams. Was wavering til that game on him.

.

It doesn't matter what SF did or what you want.  The Eagles have others to pay.  I don't believe they sign him for what he can get the open market.

So has anyone bought an Eagles SB Sports Illustrated from a bookstore? Are they even sold in stores?

I am sure they are listening to what I want. Lol. You are being foolish thinking that they can't sign him because of money. They can! Will they? Will see. You do realize they have to pay Ojomo a fat contract next off season if he performs like everyone says he will. Right? Next offseason we can get Carter & Smith extended. Ojomo probably odd man out if I have to guess here. Can't sign all 3.

Eliot Shorr Parks Frazier

I'm ambivalent on Patullo. I honestly don't think OC is that important given it was obvious this season the offense with Hurts and Sirianni at the helm isn't going to change much. Regardless of who the OC is they're going to run "Jalen Hurts stuff" for better or for worse. The question is how much of a feel for the game does he have as a play caller. If he's bad, Steichen will be back in 2026. I think they may bring in a veteran assistant who has some more experience in case. I don't even think Brian Johnson was as bad as people thought, it was just that Hurts regressed and the defense was awful so it seemed worse than it was. The QB coach is important though so Hurts carries this season's production into next and doesn't regress again.

Oh look, the stalker losers still alive and well.

Where did I say that can't sign him?  I don't think they will. Big difference. We all would like him back.  They can't sign everyone. We will see, I'm just saying don't be disappointed if they don't sign him back.  Also they could just let Ojomo play out for 2 more years on a rookie deal. What does that have to do with Williams right now? Who's the one being foolish.

Interested in how the Eagles evaluate Milton Williams. If they think he's a legit DL cornerstone stud, I'd be stunned if they don't offer him 20m per season. The Eagles simply don't let good homegrown DL go. But if they think he's merely a rotational guy, obviously that changes things.

Sign everyone? Who is everyone? I want Baun, Williams and Becton only on a hometown discount deal. I think it's very feasible and not far fetched as you may think. They clearly can all fit. And doesn't mortgage the future going forward with staggered contracts and salary cap increases. Next years dead cap space goes down from what I see.

His snaps went up in the 2nd half of season. So did his stats. He's no longer considered rotational by anyone. We will find this out by his salary next 4 years. They had so much depth that he didn't have to play that much. He also has low tread on the tires.

If the Eagles think he's a stud, they won't let him go. If they do let him go, it tells me they view him as pretty replaceable. They value DL so much, I think if they thought Williams was a legit stud they'd prioritize him over Becton even with the money difference. And honestly, would prioritize him over Baun considering how much they value DL.

What it has to with Williams? Well they both play defensive tackle and we know Eagles value the trenches. One stays out of the 2 is a given. Hope we can agree on that. He's not gonna go cheap on both of these guys. My point is we have them both for the next 2 years if we want so we can have continuity here and win multiple chamionships. Why eff with that formula right now by being cheap? Someone is paying him big money regardless. Could be our competition as a matter of fact.

I agree they value it.  It probably won't happen.  They probably let him walk and draft another DT in my opinion.  We'll see.

I am not.  But there's only 112 opportunities to watch him... and more than half of those were in garbage time/games.

I don't know how much can really be learned from that.

I watch the All22 because it gives a view of the coverages and play that you don’t see on TV.  On TV you are lucky if you see 20% of the CB plays and rarely when the CB isn’t targeted.  (It is also why I hate single photos as proof of who is open.  There is a reason @just relax usually shows multiple freeze frames when he posts from the All22, to see the play progress.).

What you see is a CB that was a bit stiff in the hips coming out of college who now does a pretty decent job of mirroring and demonstrates without a doubt to me not only his speed, but his burst on makeup speed.  So many fast players play fast but lack that extra burst, Ringo has burst.  He may never be more than a back up and special team player but he looks like more.  But year three determines his value.

Now let’s talk DBs currently on the roster.  There is Ricks.  Just not fast enough. Good football IQ.  Castro-Fields. Great speed but not great instincts. Stiffer than Ringo.  AJ Woods, basically a small nickel as I see it.  Good athleticism but I just haven’t seen enough of him to assess value.  Eagles kept him and Sam the whole season on the PS.  Maybe a back up nickel at best. I thought it was interesting that when they needed a spot, they cut Castro-Fields and kept him and Sam.  Note that Castro-Fields wasn’t off the roster very long.  Sam’s not going to last, IMHO, too slow and too old to train.  Nickerson is a journeyman at best.

It will be interesting if being around the other players allows Cine to resurrect his career. (I suspect he believed his clippings so maybe, if he is coachable.)

The SS United States is finally leaving South Philly . The once proud vessel that used to be the gold standard of the past just rotted in obscurity for almost 30 years. Like the Dallas Cowboys.

I wish there would have been a way to save this ship. I know the SS United States Conversation group tried, but it also seems like they wasted a lot of money. It would have taken an enormous investment, but the Queen Mary is quite the tourist destination and hotel now. Sad that the SS America eventually ran aground off the Canary Islands and is rotting away and the United States is going to be sunk.

Guys in coming Years. Jurgens, Carter and Smith to name a few.  People have said this many times. Why is that hard for you to understand?  We can both agree we'll see.  I trust what Howie decides to do.

Okay. I respect that opinion. But why is that so much better. You now have to fill that hole with a rookie who won't give you much that 1st year and will ride the bench. We can use a high pick for a position that plays impact minutes right away. At edge, where there's probably going to be a major need with Graham and Sweat leaving. Rather chase that one first. We should just be trying to add to our depth and not lose too many starters all at once. Losing Sweat, Williams and Slay at once is no good IMO.

The truth is somewhere in the middle.  In basic terms, the Eagles DT snap counts were as follows:

Carter -- 831 (79%)

Williams -- 501 (48%)

Davis -- 388 (37%)

Ojomo -- 388 (37%)

Booker -- 166 (16%)

Alim McNeill just signed for $24M AAV.  Christian Barmore is another close comp at $21M AAV.

Offering Milton Williams $20M AAV might not get it done if his priority is that he has his Super Bowl ring and wants to get paid what McNeill is getting.
