It's more likely it was some sort of paid arrangement type internet site. She allegedly met him on a plane.

I think I read somewhere that he's not the first elderly man she's dated. So maybe she pursued him 🤷‍♂️

I know he's not a young buck anymore, but the RB depth leaves a lot to be desired. If his knee checks out, I would be all-in on bringing in Nick Chubb.

Class, now that I’m back east this and seeing my best friend in Arlington are high on my list of priorities.

I think you should stop by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as well. It is quite the experience.

Also, interestingly enough, they offer tours of Lee's house on the Arlington grounds, but you need to call ahead to ask for a tour. I did it a few years ago. Well worth the time. Also, standing there at the house you can immediately see why the very first thing the Union did during the Civil War was to go and occupy that piece of land. Standing at the Lincoln Memorial, you can't really tell how much higher that piece of land is than the surroundings, but to go up there... it has a commanding view of the entirety of Washington D.C. From what I understand, from there rifled cannons from the Civil War could have reached the White House... and maybe the Capital Building.

Love him or hate him, I think all football fans can agree with Trump that the new kickoff is stupid. And equally all Eagles fans should agree with the need to keep the Tush Push.

He was also big mad about Shedeur not getting drafted in the first though sooooo...ph34r

NOPE! WE CAN’T BE FRIENDS ANYMORE…

Honestly though it’s sad, I’m running for a non political position in my town and I’m currently involved in a nasty political campaign for it where I’m getting slandered and smeared because somebodies ego was hurt…and the head of the executive committee decided he wanted his wife to have the paid position and then illegally threatened me hoping to get me to drop out of the primary lol. Fortunately he was dumb enough to TEXT me the threat. Hello PA AG. If that’s enough to dox myself in here…IDGAF at this point lol.

Is it doxing if you do it to yourself? 🤔

Might be my reading skills. Dealing with a headache currently.

I’m not sure we ever got to defining that here…pretty sure we are still stuck on the definition of ‘mobility’ at the QB position.

Mobility and elite. Classic Blog history.

That wouldn't be an exception. That would be a wrinkle between different teams. DeJean played 60% of the snaps, even missing the first 4 games. He's a 'starter'. Meanwhile, our 3rd S played about 24%. He's a backup/role player.

Some teams play 11 personnel a ton, making WR3 a starter rather a role player. Others lean more towards 12 personnel, bringing up the value of TE2. There's no one size fits all breakdown by 'position'. But for me, it comes down to snaps.

Jordan Davis plays an important ROLE on the team. But, he's never gone over 45% (37% last year) of the snaps. And only went over 30% one other time. His role is huge, his contract should not be. Milton Williams played a big role last year as well, but only got 48% of the snaps. Paying him huge money was never on the table in my mind. Jalen Carter, on the other hand, played 79% of the snaps... and was far more impactful than either Davis or Williams. He's a starter, the other two are basically platoon players. Combined the two of them don't even hit 100% of the snaps. And the Eagles showed us just how valuable Davis was. He still played 40% of the snaps in the final throw away game of the year against the Giants... actually a higher percentage of the snaps in that game than his season average (37%). Milton Williams snaps in that game dropped off (28%), whereas Moro Ojomo's went through the roof (83%).

With all that input what is your bottom line number of starters … 11 times 2?

That was awesome to watch!!! Love hearing "Go Birds" with the WH in the background. Now they get to see the Declaration of Independence in the Oval.

Hopefully everyone can ignore politics for this event. I grew up and saw the Redskins at the White House, the Cowboys and the Giants... among all of the other teams. I've ALWAYS wanted to see my Eagles there. I didn't care who might be President at the time. I just wanted MY Eagles at the White House. So I was really disappointed in 2018 when they didn't go.

I'm watching it now and it's great that the President mentioned the Giants losing Barkley lol. I just wish the audience had begun chanting "Thank you Giants!" lol

Well said. Loved hearing the fight song before they came out and all the "go birds".

Then we are on the same page. I believe RLC is on that page too.

I guess I interpreted his post as saying that Howie would take a player like Campbell with the idea he could be a one contract man do to injury. Obviously injuries can happen, but I don’t think there is any chance we would have taken Campbell if Howie had doubts about his longevity.

Yeah, the changing of the guard is definitely worth it.

Look forward to no politics in here again. Any comment about it is politics fyi.

A meh wr

He has a knee and both shoulders with past injuries. My understanding is there is no real concern about one of the shoulders and the knee. The newer shoulder injury is what might keep him out in training camp. The other shoulder will require surgery at the end of this season but seems to be more of a maintenance type of thing and isn’t thought to be serious.

Im no surgeon though, just what I’ve picked up reading.

I always hated the pageantry aspect of being in the military, but that is one thing that on a cold rainy day I want to go watch and embrace the suck with reminiscing on the way things used to be. I can rag on the bands, traveling recruiting shows, etc all day…but any form of Honor Guard i have the utmost respect for.

Sounds about right. You could likely add another safety to that list when we figure out who that guy will be. And those are the players that you invest your money in. The rest are role players and you rotate through them without investing huge money in them. It's like a platoon situation in baseball. If a guy can only hit right handed pitching, or left-handed pitching, then you don't invest top dollar in that guy.

Same goes for football. If I need a guy like Davis for run downs only, and a guy like Williams for pass downs, then I can't afford to pay them both at a premium, and frankly, shouldn't pay either at a premium.

That's a different matter. You pay big money to impact players.

Mattwill and I were talking in the context of Howie's remarks that he's looking for "starters" in the later rounds, you don't find a lot of impact players after the 2nd round, you do find a lot of starters and role players who play significant roles.

Davis is sui generis, while he doesn't play a lot of snaps, he's the key to the base defense. Because he requires double teams, it keeps the LBs clean and allow the safeties to play deep.

This allows Fangio to stop the run without exposing the defense to big plays off play action.

You could replace him in that role with Carter, but then that would make Carter less effective on passing downs b/c of the effort required to anchor against double teams against the run.

There is merit to what you are saying but I hope you’re not implying that there is an objective snap % number to be considered a starter that doesn’t account for position.

Playing 60% of snaps on the D-line is not the same as playing 60% at Corner or LB.

How many players couldn't go due to scheduling conflicts? I know of Hurts, anyone else?
