We all have our own experiences that shape the way we think, and how things rank in order of importance. It doesnt necessarily have to do with intelligence. Experiences shape our moral compass.Whats right for me isnt necessarily right for everyone else. Thats why there is more than one candidate and everyone gets to choose who is best for them. There is no one size fits all president and there are no one size fits all policies. Someone is always benefitting, while others are losing and vice versa. If this issue hits closer to home for you because you have daughters, perfectly understandable why all of a sudden, the morality of a presidential pick skyrockets to the top when it deals with crimes against women. Pro life vs pro choice, unimportant to me. I have an opinion on it, but it does not sway my vote. It doesnt affect me. It affects many others and may well swing their vote another way, understandably. Some wanted the 6ers to go after Miles Bridges at the trade deadline last year and others did not. Some will be ok with a wife or child beater on their football team, and others will not. That does not mean those people support those crimes, or defend the player's actions. Ditto dog killers, and drunk driving manslaughterers. Same principles apply here. Im not going to defend trump. I didnt weigh his character highly in my decision because I think thats fruitles. We are never going to get to elect a saint. But I understand using your own vote in your own best interests, while for me, it was just more important to choose the better president. I respect your choice to vote the other way for your own reasons.I dont have a daughter. But I have a sister, a mother, I have two sons who may one day give me daughter in laws, and grand daughters. Millions and millions of women still felt Trump was the better choice, for whatever their own reasons. And yet, there may come a time where the women's issues weigh more heavily on my mind at the battle box.Good post, thanks for sharing.Keep in mind that there are people who consider the well being of everyone as their top consideration when voting and not just themselves and their own needs.

He gets a big gold star here.BBB - Yes, there are a few crumbs in there like the no tax on tips but the big picture isn't pretty. However, this bill adds a large chunk to the deficit and that is most certainly NOT what he promised. It will also take a large number of his voters off of medicaid. I think you might want to take a look at this one again as this one is a fail if you judge vs. his campaign pledge.DOGE - This one is laughable. After all the noise, the educated assessment is that they will end up saving about $50B and not the $2T they promised. In the meantime, they've greatly damaged US soft power which will leave us exposed in the wild world of international development. We can cover with military spending if that's how you want to go. This was one big marketing campaign and it looks like you bought the message.Stock Market - Well at the moment it is doing well but the climate has been very unstable which is not typically the way you want things to run. As @Frankfurteagle89 says we need to wait and see on this one. Inflation is a mixed bag as well so it is wait and see there as well.Tariffs - I think we can all agree that this topic has been one big cluster F....and then there are the other things like his abysmal handling of deportation events, Signal, Epstein, silly threats toward Canada/Greenland, etc. All the basic daily chaos that Trump brings to the table and which is not healthy for society. I think you can reasonably point to some specific wins, no issue with that. However, I find it hard to understand how anyone can be "thrilled" and in fact I'm seeing lots of evidence that a lot of people are very upset. My brother voted for Trump for the sole reason that he only cares about his taxes. I haven't talked with him since the BBB passed but I'm sure he is thrilled about that and will pretend the rest of the stuff doesn't matter. Taxes are very important for sure but there are other considerations imho.

The world is a better place when you realize almost everyone wants the same thing. There are just different ideas on how to go about it. Differing ideas on going about getting to the same goal does not make anyone a petter or worse person. And all share a common goal and are good people. The differences are why we have different political parties, and different candidates. Otherwise, based on your ideals, we would all just appoint a monarch who is in charge of ruling for the betterment of ALL the people as he or she sees fit. Which is never really reality. There is no one size fits all candidate, or policy.

Its self righteous to pretend you know, and get to choose what would be best for everyone. That is idealistic but unrealistic. That is why we do not appoint monarchs. We vote and get to choose for ourselves. No one is supposed to get to choose for us. Your vote, is not supposed to be for others.

A more valuable and balanced approach imho is to consider others though of course prioritize your own family situation.

Only now did you add the part about prioritizing your own situation. And with that, you basically had no point in the first place. Because thats exactly what my entire post was about when you responded to it as if you had something to add.

I’m sorry the concept is not within reach of your understanding.

July 18Jul 18 That's the response you go with.President Donald Trump late Thursday directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to work on releasing grand jury transcripts in the case of Jeffrey Epstein.

That’s why they’ll release it. Expect some redacted materials to protect individuals that had nothing to do with his conviction. So I doubt any so called client list will be released in transcripts. The actual trial transcripts may have a so called list. The freedom of information act could force judge to release those ?
