They would have had to keep him on the 53 to start

You can designate a guy as IR to return before the 53 now. Eagles did it with Hinton. I think you get 2

As for the contrast between Kendall and McMahon... we are talking about 1 inch and 10 lbs. Not exactly Mailata to Lampkin level contrast.

Kendall has a bigger frame and better projects to G. That doesn’t mean he had to have played guard or been thought of that way on draft Twitter. He showed reasonably well in the preseason at G by a lot of accounts, enough to project he could be one of the 8 active OL on gameday.

McMahon didn’t show he could play guard. Presumably he was given the opportunity, I don’t remember and it’s not like they tell/show us everything anyway.

None of this is controversial. It’s like you’re being a smartass just because.

McMahon made it to the Rams PS so I guess the Eagles liked Lampkin more than McMahon now and they obviously like Kendall more than McMahon or they could have done that swap as well

That's right. Good point.

Not talking about cherry picked years. Talking about the years which CJGJ has been here. When people talk about him being a ballhawk for us they are talking about when he played here, not elsewhere.

I don’t think you understand the definition of "cherry picked”. You chose to select two years and ignore four years. Doing that conveniently supports your argument. The other four years contradict your argument. So, keep picking those cherries.

I think we are witnessing an attempt by Howie of a new maneuver. Perhaps he was concerned that if they exposed Keegan or McCollum to waivers they couldn’t get them to the PS so he waited a day, after teams had made their waiver claims and established their PS. Then he waives Keegan to resign Hughlett, who wasn’t exposed to waivers. He won on Lampkin on waiver claims and waived McCollum with the intent of putting him on the PS, or possibly moving Lampkin to IR and reclaiming McCollum before the 24 hours are up. Shall be interesting to see how it plays out. Both are low risk loss exposures because Keegan did not advance this preseason and McCollum is the fourth (really fifth) S behind Reed, Brown Mukuba and in a way Coop.

I was thinking along those lines.

2025 season opener hype video should be ready by early next week.

If CJGJ played 4 years with the Eagles and I picked just 2 of those years you would have a point. Instead I am looking at two years he was with the Eagles in which he was indeed a turnover machine with 12 total interceptions.

I think a team IRed their LS (Rams maybe) and Hughlett probably had interest otherwise I think the intention was to buy a few weeks of PS call ups

Thank god for the Eagles because the Phils yuck

Week 1 Adoree Jackson. By week 3 we should see Bennett there. Depends on if Bennett can play as well as he did with Raiders. We should be monitoring this but not concerned until the trade deadline passes.

I only saw wk1 pre season and ringo looked like dookie out there. Has adoree played at all?

Aiming for the 2025 season opener hype video to be completed sometime on Monday.

Patiently waiting for the quality DE to come via trade... We traded for Donte' Stallworth on 8/28 so there's time!

If the get another DE, I think this roster will be pretty solid. I know the CB2 issue is still there but that that they have some pieces to work with. Lampkin and getting Green back on PS (maybe he can improve idk if he was dealing with health issues too) make me feel better about OL depth. At the very least, they saw rhe same thing as the rest of us and have attempted to address it.

A veteran DE may not come until after the first game though so they dont have to guarantee a full year's salary.

I don’t know what the point of Green on the PS even is. Dude just sucks.

So the first round of the NFL "Rivalry" uniforms drops tomorrow. They are supposed to embody the spirit of the city yada yada yada.

The Dolphins was just leaked, and it's just an all-black version of their uniforms. GREAT!

I'd be willing to give up one of our 3rd's, a player like Ringo/Brown and even a day 3 pick to sweeten it further.

I'm fine there with Bennett. Once he's settled and comfortable let him start. If he sucks by the time trade deadline comes around then make a trade at that time.

But DE is the obvious position that could use a quality player. And if Nolan gets banged up, can't imagine this rotation with him being out for any amount of time never mind multiple games.

The word does not exist in the English language to describe how much distain I have for these uniform changes happening across the professional sports landscape. The "Color Rush" stuff was crap. The "City Connect" uniforms in MLB are just ridiculous. Teams wearing this stuff don't look like the teams they are. And when watching highlights of the players in these various uniforms, you lose any continuity for the player with a certain team, as it just doesn't look like the right team.

Once again, these corporate entities are just looking to squeeze a few more dollars from the fans. This has nothing to do with the 'game experience' in terms of watching it live, but its all about the jersey sales, because some people just can't help themselves from buying the garbage because its the latest thing. If the fans banded together and boycotted these items, demanding some semblance of history and tradition to uphold the integrity of the history of the teams, these farces would disappear. Alternate 3rd jerseys that are based on old versions of uniforms I get. These new ones are just an unabashed money grab.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. I hate all of it. I just want to know how they can have a press release with the description below and then just give the Dolphins an all-black uniform. It's so damn dumb.

"The NFL is home to some of the biggest football rivalries and today marks a historical moment for the NFL as we share 'Rivalries' with the world," said Renie Anderson, chief revenue officer at the NFL. "Together with Nike, we are harnessing the power of rivalry matchups to bring fan excitement and community pride to the next level. Through specially designed player uniforms and limited-edition fan gear, we will embark on a journey that inspires competitive spirit and reveals the winner in all of us."

Each participating team will wear a unique Rivalries uniform with designs rooted extensively in local community insights during a single home game against a division rival. The designs have been brought to life by pulling inspiration from the history of each market and the aspects of the community that only that team's city embodies.

That's right. That cloud ruined a perfectly good blue sky. And I'm going to yell about it until it moves.

Would have been hard to come up with something worse if they tried. Every time the Flyers dress up in black uniforms they look like clowns; I suppose there is some comfort it looks hideous with blue trim as well.

Why would you take away his best year? It's like calling Barkley an average RB if you take away his longest carries. Production is evidence of ability just as prior injuries are evidence of fragility.

Um.....when it's a very clear outlier at the very least you take it with a massive grain of salt.
