Wrong. HC deals don't need to be made public like player deals, which count against the cap.

Kevin O'Connell's contract details weren't discovered until a week after he signed his extension. https://vikingsterritory.com/2025/news/top_news/details-of-kevin-oconnells-contract-emerge-report

Ben Johnson almost two weeks after he signed with the Bears. https://www.chicitysports.com/chicago-bears-ben-johnsons-contract-revealed

Honestly, why should any of us care what the contract details are for Sirianni? It's not our money and it doesn't impact the salary cap. If it were our money, it would be our business. If it impacted the salary cap, it would potentially impact us. As it is, it doesn't matter one iota to us.

Good for Nick.

Douglas was around during the season, even on the sidelines pregame. I wouldn't be surprised if he was working as a consultant this past draft cycle and now is officially onboard.

Some day people will stop taking PFF seriously. I look forward to that day.

It wasn't for WR. We just missed with JJ.

The Eagles got it right with 1 WR in the draft since 2009, I think.

Just 1.

I want the HC to call the plays

If the HC is the play caller, is there any need for an OC?

Howie has found a great formula and process in recent drafts. I'd hate for Douglas to ruin it. Supposedly, Joe Douglas was a good in the Scouting department for the Ravens, but making him VP here was maybe like a coordinator who doesn't work as a head coach but goes back to a coordinator role and has success. Let's hope so.

I don't think they'd have hired him back if he was some albatross or bafoon. He is highly regarded in the talent evaluation process and brought to light different ways of the scouting process that Lurie even spoke about in the past.

We lost 3 people on the management side, I think we could've done worse than bringing Joe back as one addition. I was "ok" with not bringing him back, by I totally understand it. Hopefully there's at least one more person from the outside that's from a strong organization to add to the mix.

Because it's hours after the news broke and no details of the deal are out. Usually those details are front and center as part of the announcement or come out very soon after. And these are details given by the agent because that of course reflects on then as well and the job they have done as an agent. It's a low ball deal that Sirianni agreed to then it makes sense why the agent hasn't given out those contract details yet.

No details of Moore’s contract in New Orleans are out, or Ben Johnson’s in Chicago to the best of my knowledge.

Not surprised to see Auston Matthews doing a Joel Embiid after getting eliminated from the playoffs again.

Leadership with a capital "L”

Considering it's been done that way for many years

Yes

The Angel Reese - Caitlin Clark rivalry has to be by far the best in sports right now. As I watch Ryan Clark and RG3 go very personal at each other's throats over it on Twitter right now makes me realize nothing else comes close in sports. Something happens every game between them that makes everyone just crash out and lose their minds. It's must watch TV.

I'm not entirely convinced this isn't a ploy to get more WNBA viewers.

Companies spend large amounts of money and time in identifying and cultivating leaders in their organizations. Leadership is a rarer quality that being a good salesperson, trader, analyst, or offensive coordinator. NFL history is littered with strong coordinators that flamed out when given the opportunity to be a head coach. The job is more than game planning and play calling. It's about getting a team of men to pursue a single goal, to understand and follow the path, and to support each other along the way. Nick is outstanding at that. Look at the videos the team puts out each week during the season. You hear Nick at meetings talk about toughness and work and details and connection. Then watch the post game conversations with the players - they use the exact same words. His messaging is still resonating with the players. They like his energy and aggressiveness. I'm glad he'll be around for a while longer.

I said it a while ago…Nick has some absolutely terrible game day moments, but as goofy as he appears and all his analogies, sayings, etc that should turn off the average person, he gets a pass after keeping that team together last year. After the Jags game i was wondering how they would come out and respond last year…like the year before or the absolute tear they went on running to and away with the Super Bowl. I’m still gonna blast him for his mind numbing game day mistakes he’s prone to though. Dude is an amazing leader based off what I saw last year. I’ll give him a pass for 2 seasons ago.

The reason they changed the rule is because they thought it was too confusing to discern downfield blocks and pile ups as pushes and such. So not sure why they’d go back to something they decided needed to be changed then. Simply because they’re afraid of one team.

What I don't like about the Lions rule proposal is it feels like a half measure. You're prioritizing teams with the best record first. Fine, but then teams shouldn't be guaranteed a playoff spot by winning the division, otherwise this rule is hypocritical. You're saying the best teams should get the playoff priority, but then you're gonna guarantee a team a playoff spot if they win their division at 8-9. Either go all the way with it and don't guarantee playoff spots to division winners with records that don't qualify, or don't change the rule.

NFL can do a playoff lottery. Keep the seeding process the same, the #1 seed gets the most lottery balls down to the #7 seed who gets the least. The winner of the lottery becomes the new #1 seed and they get to pick their opponent or pick a bye if they want. Keep doing the process till the seeds are set. Then we can do a double or nothing rule where the teams that lose get to pick another losing team to face. The winner gets back in there playoffs while the loser is permanently eliminated and then faces a punishment of playing in the probowl. Meanwhile, one team from both divisions gets a golden power of veto. Whoever scores the most points in a year. They can use that power only once to skip facing a team they don’t want to play. Or they can use it on another team who would also skip to the next round. The strategy here would be to use it on a bad team if you are confident you will win your game, you get the lesser team the next week. Then the week before the Super Bowl, America gets to vote and bring back one team From each conference who then plays each other. The winner of that game gets to re-enter the playoffs.

Now this is a game changer

Maybe just eliminate the regular season entirely. Lottery balls all the way!!! Results on the field are meaningless... lottery balls are way more fun.

Oh they've made a bunch of game changing, mind numbing rules in recent years. They need to stop trying to fix what ain't broke.
