What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

What? Owners can't be that stupid right? Why would they think he retired because of the play?? He'll be 38 in the upcoming season

The owners aren’t going to give an ish what Kelce says

The Bills owner questioned out loud publicly if the play had a part in him deciding to retire back at the other meetings a few months ago so he’s probably there to clear the air that it had nothing to do with it.

True, but this is all hilarious.

I'm trying to remember if there was something that so many wanted banned that they lied about the reasons just to get it banned

And last night Siri entered each of the owners rooms with...Big Dom. Make them an offer they can't refuse.

I think we run it too much but the hate makes me want to be petty and run it more if it doesn't get banned

Agreed. Start at the 4 yard line and run it 4 straight for a TD with Jalen Dx Crotch Chopping the camera. One can dream...

How many teams do we think votes no on it? I'm guessing no more than 4 or 5. Maybe as little as 3.

We now wait for the black or white smoke to come from the owners meeting to indicate if banned or not.

They're reaching. Andy Reid at the last owners meeting in an interview said that he spoke to Kelce who said it "destroyed him." They ran with that. Reid also defended the play and said if they could run it they would. Kelce would often joke about it being brutal and that it sucks being at the bottom of the pile. The same can be said about fumble recoveries but that's not banned.

I can't find the video but here's Chris Simms quoting Reid.

Also they are grasping at any reason to ban it. They've said pace of play (it's a quick play so that makes no sense), they've said it doesn't "look" like a football play (there are trick plays, and the Chiefs can dance in a circle coming out of the huddle, QBs can spike or throw the ball into the stands to avoid a sack), they've said player injury despite zero injury data.

And has there ever been a situation where one team is so successful that they change the rules just because of that one team?

With the number of loopholes that Bill and Brady got away with... this is BS

I don't think it should be banned, but I sort of hope it is at this point because if it's not banned and they run it next year teams are going to try more ridiculous things to try and stop it and THAT is going to cause injury. Chris Jones in the SB lining up sideways, then doing a LeBron flop act on the sidelines like he's so hurt, that was an act to try and get it banned. You're going to have defensive players faking injuries like they used to do to slow down fast no huddle offenses. You're going to see more Luvu type plays to try and beat the snap. And, people are going to criticize the Eagles that they can't run a normal QB sneak without cheating by pushing.

Just ban the thing, then let them convert QB sneaks - and hopefully handoff to the RB more, please! - and run the ball down teams throats.

I still think they should troll the NFL with AJ, Smitty and Goedert standing in the backfield dancing or holding their arms straight up in the air, arms folded, something funny while Hurts and the O line convert. FU to the NFL.

I hope they scored a bunch of rushing TDs against the Packers. A WR should stop at the 1 yard line just so they can run against them. 😄

Of all the whining about the tush push, nothing will beat Luvu’s cheap shotting arse wanting it banned. He’s such a loser.

It was celebrated when they ran it.

Of course. I suspect Lurie is doing this to make the room feel very uncomfortable because he knows they are basically cowards who are too afraid to say in public that their coaching staff and players can't stop it. I'd love to be in the room for the pure entertainment value of billionaires squabbling over if its ok for 1 man to push another's glute muscle or not, listening to someone who was great at executing it.

Except the refs won't call this - they'll only call the plays that look specifically like the tush push

I honestly was hoping someone like Mailata would grab him and throw him. Or when he's in the air during the jump force him to the ground HARD

Unbelievable. He retired because he was 36 years old!

I guess Calvin Johnson retired because he was tired of playing on a horizontal surface or maybe it was playing in Detroit so often. They should change that too. Remove the team from Detroit!!! Oh... Barry Sanders retired too for the same reason. Clearly, Detroit is a bad place to have a team.
