If we’re measuring GOAT QB based on team success then it’s very easily Hurts at #1.

Do we care about anything else? Winning SBs > stats.

Here's a way too early shot at the 53. And some thoughts:

QB: I think McCord beats out DTR

RB: Feels like Van Sumeren makes the team given Lurie's comments on FBs

OL: I think Green and Pryor are locks as 6 and 7. Then the 3 rookies make the team I believe. I think they can get the rest to the PS.

TE: Roll with 2 and use PS elevations for the 3rd

DE: I have Huff on the team, sadly, assuming they can't trade him for anything

LB: If Dean stars on PUP, it opens a spot

CB: I think Ricks makes the team

S: Took Cine and the 1st round pedigree (and UGA) over McCollum

RS: I don't think they want Coop returning punts, and kickoff returns more important now with touchbacks to the 35

I would love for them to find a RB3 or WR4/5 who can double as the returner. I hate using a roster spot on Avery Williams.

He needs to accept that he's not getting that big contract he wanted years ago

Yeah Dawk was like 15th

Shipley is the easy answer at KR; he's done a really good job both in college and last year.

A roster spot for PR depends on how important you think the role is; it's worth using a spot on a player who won't muff punts, IMO.

I feel like AJ Dillon doesn't make the team. They usually have some good young ungrateful guys come in and do well at RB in preseason. I'm going to bet one of those guys beats him for the job.

I think that was a reasonable take on the 53. My only real quibble would be that I think we’re gonna go with at least 11 OLs and that Keegan will make it. But I think that will be easily handled with putting Dean on PUP to start.

I guess I would also put APR on there too (the Eagles generally like to keep their draft picks, and he was a sixth) probably ahead of Booker. That fifth DT could instead go to a PS guy, perhaps even Booker himself.

I also think Ainias Smith is superfluous with Avery Williams. Frankly I think Smith stinks.

You also misspelled Mitchell.

I think I would be a little surprised if they dumped McCollum. He was the first safety off the bench all year when they had other options like Maddox and Brown. If everything else is close to equal, I think the familiarity pushes to McCollums favor.

Equipment nerd time. AJ Brown trying out the new Schutt F7 Pro. He's been a Riddell Speedflex guy his entire career.

Hopefully the team can stay Jefferson Health(y) this season.

I agree, but maybe I have PTSD from Greg Lewis in 2007. I don’t want Coop doing it full time, and not sure I trust A Smith.

Dangers of doing that in Excel…

I had Keegan as the 11th lineman, then dropped him for Williams. He was my last cut.

Yes, a suplex was a clean and legal play back in the day. Not trying to be hard on you specifically but what the heck is wrong with people on here taking shots at Dawk? The guy started his career in the Vet and finished before the age of touch football began. Dirty players are that clown show who took a cheap shot at Wentz and pretty much ended his starting career. Dirty plays are Al-Shaair's hit on Lawrence.

The duplex was legal, but was it clean? There is a difference and in that difference I distinguish between out and out dirty players, like Suh, and players like Dawkins, who’s always trying to hurt you but pretty much within the rules. Getting back to what Luvu was trying to do, it was a two-parter: first, if he timed it just right, he could hit Hurts before he could duck behind Dickerson and Jurgens and stop the play and second, he could bait the OL into jumping and move them back five yards. What does he have to lose? An inch or three? The notion that he was trying to hurt Jurgens’ back is nonsense. He was jumping over Jurgens, not into him or even onto him. Hitting Hurts helmet to helmet is another story but on QB sneaks there’s a lot of that. Everybody puts their head down, squares the neck, and goes.

By definition a legal play is clean. I get what you are trying to say, but the guy was trying to knock someone out every time he hit the ball, which is what a defender did in his time. He was intense and brought it every hit but I've never heard Dawk called dirty before yesterday for good reason. We agree Suh is another level.

I was making a joke thus the Wink laughy emoji.

I dont feel like you are singling me out.

Almost every tackle made 15 years ago could be considered " dirty" by todays NFL standards.

I dont think I ever considered Dawkins a dirty player, im not sure there was a consensus that other fans of other teams did either.

I think by in large the media, and fans considered him hard hitting but not dirty

Much like someone like lynch, or Atwater, heavy hitters but not dirty.

Running a play they can’t stop is clearly unfair. Better to run a play they can stop so they’ll feel better. Football is, after all, a gentleman’s game, like cricket but with fewer teams breaks.

Dawk played in an era that allowed those hard hitting tackles that would get you ejected now. Not fair to call him dirty but I am biased

I don't think Suh is dirty but I also don't think he really cares. He just wanted to hit the QB and make plays. If it resulted in an injury then oh well. He partially played in an era that allowed those as well

Luvu is playing in an era where these hits are illegal and he's doing it. He's dirty. I am biased though. He was definitely trying to do a Troy P. move but failed miserably but he's also done dirty launching and targeting helmet hits

If you scroll over to the section of her profile that says "Starter Pack" she has a pretty comprehensive list of the NFL writers that are on there. It's a good place to start if you're looking for follows. The Eagles specific beat writers you have to search out though.

I’m good with waiting a little longer to crown Hurts as the Eagles GOAT QB. But he’s definitely on the precipice, another year or two of similar production, wins, and playoffs and it becomes undeniable.

If he leads us to a dynasty by winning a couple more SBs along with another SBMVP or two and your talking potential GOAT Eagle regardless of position.

Can you spell R E G G I E?
