You achieve that wide swath of listeners by doing and saying outlandish things. It drives clicks, listeners, and viewers. Fox didn't hire Carton for any in-depth knowledge on any subject; they hired him to bring viewers.

His statement "Purdy does everything better than Hurts" is a giveaway. They are two different QBs with different strengths and weaknesses. Obviously, anyone would know Purdy is not as mobile as Hurts and not nearly as powerful .... but, you throw an outlandish statement out to drive viewership and advertising dollars comes next. Unfortunately, it's not a serious football discussion and dumbs down the discourse.

Kind of surprised the punching was never targeted to ban. Plenty of times they'll miss and literally punch the player. It doesn't seem to start fights but I think there has been at least 1 started

I don’t think you give Hendrickson a new deal. Sit down with him and his agent and come to an agreement that playing one year with the Eagles and then going into Free Agency with that superb year on the books is an even better financial deal than extending now. Eagles get a one year rental and a winning scenario in the 2026 offseason.
