I wasn't forgiving the moves. Just shedding light on the good fortune that followed them.

Howie can be imperfect and the best at the same time.

Howie has had a run of good luck that would put Vegas out of business. He tries to trade for Calvin Ridley and then sign Allen Robinson but lands into AJ Brown. He signs Devin White to good LB money and just finds Baun who’s an all pro off the scrap heap. All the other stuff you stated. How everything shook out with Wentz/Hurts etc. I’m sure there’s more I’m missing.

What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

It would be funny if Bryce Huffs ring button doesn’t do anything

Howie hustled another pick and cap relief from a distressed asset. Sheesh, the guy must have tapes on all these suckers.

Von Miller at the right price could be a good fit as a ring chasing veteran.

Can't see them touching Miller given the allegations and suspension for violence against a woman.

Much easier roster construction without Huff. It clearly wasn't going to work out here. A shame.

One of the best things about this is that if APR lights it up in the pre-season at edge rusher, there's now room for him and no pressure to keep Huff instead.

Can’t you apply some of that optimism to the idea of the Hendrickson trade? LOL

I'm thinking about the three moves Howie took the most grief for.

  • Picked Darnell Pumphrey in a RB loaded draft - we won the SB 9 months later.

  • Picked Jalen Reagor instead of Justin Jefferson - he selected Jalen Hurts in the next round.

  • Signed Bryce Huff to a $51M contract - we won the SB 11 months later.

Please let me know if there is one I overlooked.

Taking JJ Arceage-Whiteside over DK Metcalf

Howie's a sucker, got duped again.

"The trade, which will be processed after June 1, will result in the Eagles taking on $4.94 million in dead money this year. They will defer $16.6 million to next season. While there is a lot of chatter about the Eagles creating over $15 million in space this year the reality is Huff’s original cap number was just $7.4 million so really the team is only $2.4 million better off than originally expected. They will be about $5 million worse off in 2026 than his original contract’s salary cap number"

Those look like ganga bricks.

So which veteran edge rusher will the Eagles sign before camp: Clowney, Smith, or Miller?

You lost me. How did he get duped?

None of the above … but of the three Smith would make the most sense.

I think he does. Starting just Smith and Hunt would be risky for a team built for a strong season. Hunt is unproven and Smith isn’t exactly a pillar of health. EDGE is probably the second weakest positional group ahead of only S if they don’t do anything.

I just don't know whether there's a veteran FA they would consider. I think the list is Judon, Clowney, Preston Smith, DeMarcus Lawrence.

Taking JJAW was a bad pick, but Metcalf was red flagged by many teams. I would argue that it wasn't an either/or decision for them. They just liked JJAW too much.

They have no depth homie.

Smith, Hunt, Ojulari, Uche, APR

Consider the source.

Like I said, they have no depth. Uche might not even make the team and APR is a 6th round pick.

Oh I did. But thanks for the heads up. 😇

Succession plan. Time will tell whether you are right. You may be.

Von Miller has already won two Super Bowls and been a Super Bowl MVP. Would going to the Eagles for one season to try to help a team repeat what they’ve just done be #1 on his priority list?

I think we are fine. Give the rookies time to develop into the system. With our DTs, we're going to get pressure up the middle. Even if it's a little off the first few weeks they'll get them trained up.

I'm not trying to defend Huff but I don't think he ever really fit what we wanted him to do. Just wasn't the right player, and with what Fangio is trying to do, he definitely isn't the right fit.

As for Howie, nobody is perfect but compared to the rest of the GM's in the league, I'll grade him an Aimage.png
