None of the above. None of them can get by the Eagles.

You don't think any of them will ever get a ring?

TO dominated with every QB he played with.

As long as he was willing to play.

No I don’t

Yea, I'm 100% looking too much in to the 2 part of CB2. I understand what he's saying, but if he's out there for base defense, that means he's the starting CB across from CB1. CB2 when DeJean goes to slot is technically CB3, but not really.

I don’t think that even technically.

What an awesome quote. Sky's the limit for Nolan Smith.

Love that attitude.

When’s the first preseason game? Need to start training to fight bacarty and his kid

August 7th. You should start training August 5th or 6th if you want to win

Not surprising, but the the phrase "Won't be back anytime soon" doesn't bode well for Nakobe Dean at all. He's 100% starting the season on PUP. You have to wonder if we've seen the last of him in an Eagles uniform.

Baun, Trotter, Campbell, Mondon are the LB and all have defined roles already.

To start the season Baun and Trotter are the starters and I think Mondon plays quite a bit as a situational LB.

Once Campbell is healthy, Baun and Campbell are the starters, but I don't think you'll be able to take Trotter off the field 100%. He's going to make plays. There are going to be Trotter/Mondon packages.

By the time Dean is healthy, if things are going well, Campbell and Mondon have settled in as rookies and Trotter is getting more experience under his belt. Dean isn't going to be 100% even if he is 100%. I just don't see where he's going to fit as an upgrade or at least even to what they are getting.

Terminology can be quite limiting. Fangio asks certain players to do multiple things. All I’m saying is that if we call DeJean CB2 and leave it at that we’re missing a lot. The memorable plays he made, at least for me, were box safety plays, like the tackle on Derrick Henry, or the pick-6 in the SB.

Is it possible that Jalyx is a bit of a jokester? He is the guy that called Howie "Big Pimpin'" on draft day.

Doesn’t seem like a joke. Hunt basically said that Vic said the second half was unacceptable.

I’m guessing it’s just a lost in translation/interpretation between a young player and surly grizzled vet who tells it how it is. Hunt maybe thought he was more "upset” than he really was, Vic probably didn’t realize he was coming off as upset.

I agree with almost all of what you have said. The one difference would be in how Campbell is used once he is ready. I believe he will spell Baun at first rather than replacing Trotter.

London will eat his earliest snaps (possibly as early as Week One) on Special Teams. Trotter had a lot of Special Teams snaps in 2024. Those will need to be replaced.

Lol

I respectfully disagree. Can you point to any other QBs who had a first four years better than Wentz did?

? What do you mean? Like ever?

Just in our division since 2000 I’d go Mcnabb, Hurts, Prescott, Romo is complicated because he didn’t start til year 4, but first 4 starting years were stronger, Cousins first 4 starting years, Eli

So that’s 6 in 1 division since 2000

DeVonta Smith, A.J. Brown, Kyron Johnson, Jalen Carter, Cooper DeJean, Jalyx Hunt, Jeremiah Trotter Jr, 2025 fourth-round pick, 2025 fifth-round pick.

Hunt keeps going and that’s 5 premium players in return for him. He was a huge part of our first SB run. Who hurt you lol

That’s sophistry; Tiny pieces of the Wentz trade became most of that. We didn’t get those players outright for Carson. Yes we recouped a lot of what we used to move up, but there were also lost years from 2018-2020 he was responsible for

Vic's comments on Cooper at corner. It started with him being asked "What are you looking to find out about Cooper as you're trying him out at base at corner?"

Vic: "We'd like to keep him at nickel and then in our base package we'll find a spot for him either at corner or safety." He basically wants him on the field regardless, and of course he also explained the low number of base snaps last year.

Another question later was: "What do you like about the idea of Cooper at safety?"

Vic: "I think he would play very well at safety..." then talked about base snaps being low. He went on to explain that last year it worked for the Edge guys that could play Nickel end instead of 3-4 outside LB. Last year it was a good fit (Cooper at Nickel), and "this year it could change."

It's really helpful if you actually watch and listen to the coaches and not just react to reporter tweets that quote out of context.

That Henry tackle was impressive as hell just because it was Henry. I know he wasn't at full speed but still

It was a discussion starting question. It started with the concept of Wentz being a Draft Day "miss”. Hurts and Prescott also had a good first four years. Romo clearly did not, but he also wasn’t drafted.

Others with good first four years are Mahomes, Salem, and Jackson.

Looking at QBs drafted in the 2010s, cam Newton, Andrew Luck, Jared Goff, Deshaun Watson, Russell Wilson’s stats bear scrutiny.

This YouTube is an interesting tangential discussion topic about QBs.

I'll put the tinfoil hat on and say Wentz would be great if he didn't get his knee destroyed, his backup win the SB, and then get his brains scrambled to the floor

That's what makes what Jalen is doing right now in OTAs all the more impressive.

Nice hearing from Ringo, never saw an interview with him before, and Adoree Jackson in addition to Nolan Smith and Trot Jr.

Oh, I don't care what they call him, just playing detective waiting for the season. I trust Fangio to get the best out of everyone on the field, esepcially a Swiss Army Knife like DeJean.

He's gotta be trolling at this point no? He realizes he's comparing the best QB in NFL history to Hurts in OTAs right?
