He's terrible. Has been for years.

I know PFF isn't the gospel but they had him ranked as 16th best CB last year out of 222. 10th against the run and 39th against the pass.

Not sure that's terrible.

39th against the pass for close to a $20 million cap hit is not terrible? Now it’s PfF ranking but still…….

Alexander has only played a full season once

Neither. People have been waiting for Justin Simmons longer than they've been Waiting For Godot.

Jaire Alexander is overpriced and under-available. It's not a move you make while you're on top.

I think it depends on how fangio feels about that depth. Ringo has little experience and adoree Jackson at this stage of his career is likely a backup. Eli ricks is also a backup. Imo if the eagles go after jaire (highly doubt) it’s cause fangio believes he needs an upgrade over ringo, Jackson and Eli ricks

It's up to Howie. He's an often injured CB that is not much younger than Jackson.

I’m fine with CB 2 being a Ringo/Jackson competition.

Do not see that play stoned. A close friend and I did in college and then talked for what seemed like a couple of hours about the play with a revolving theme of whether For Everyman by Jackson Browne was inspired by the play. (His father did play with Django Reinhardt.)

Don’t ask me if he’ll show, baby, I don’t know.

I think Howie would listen to fangio if fangio went to him. I also think jaire is a top end corner when healthy whereas Jackson is not

Well, you know Harris wants him in DC then

After last years dominance I have no doubt Vic has gained Howie's ear. We saw evidence of that in the draft

When healthy? He's less healthy than Goedert lol

That’s the issue. It’s why i don’t think they’d go after him nor fangio would want him unless it was incentive based contract. Only year he stayed relatively healthy was 2022 where he played 16 games

All this hand wringing over the CB position and people are forgetting the eagles won a super bowl with Mills, half season of darby, PRob and a rookie Rasul Douglas who couldnt run.

Ringo will be fine, he doesnt need to be an all star, I imagine teams will test him early and often and I expect hell have ups and downs but hes got size and speed.

Adoree jackson if anything can run, and hes no worse than mills or darby were

I think people are sleeping on Ricks, hes got good size, got some Dawg in him and had a pretty good camp by all reports last year.

No need to sign alexander or trade for Ramsey or any other expensive washed CB.

Ill stick with the young guns.💪

We arguably won 52 because of the offense and the Dline. Secondary was toasted with 500+yds

I'm a big Ringo fan. Liked the pick and like what he's done in his precious little playing time.

Alexander simply interests me as a FU to the Packers for the tush push.

Somebody will pay Alexander and it won't be us.

And now for something completely different.

Agree. I'd still like to see them sign another edge.

Most likely. The only way would be a one year Howie type of deal if he wants to ring chase. With his injury history I'd expect him to take the money and get overpaid by a desperate team.

Brown must like him for a reason. Without checking I bet he is still young enough to have been drafted this year.

I'd say the chances of each are:

2: absolutely zero chance

1: 10%. If they do sign one, 99% chance they sign Simmons.

0: 90%.

They don't need either of these guys right now. If they didnt draft mukuba, sure bring in Simmons. But I trust their evaluation there. I do hate McCollum but he's a cheap third safety

Not even arguably, both defenses were atrocious in that game particularly the secondaries. It definitely was obvious that we did not have a lot of talent in the back 7

2024 Eagles were awesome in coverage and had one of the worst on-paper edge rush groups we've had in a while. CB2 is massively important and easily the biggest question mark on the team. Gut says if Adore'e Jackson can still run, he has a way better chance at the job than we're talking about now. We'll see.

As for Alexander, he'll get starter money and get treated like a starter. He's not signing for $5m and fighting Ringo for a job. So if they didn't want Slay, I doubt they'll want Alexander.

For which positions are you talking about? Because you're not describing QB.

Anthony Richardson might go down as the worst top 5 draft pick of this generation if he can't beat out Daniel Jones for a starting QB job, and I have my doubts he can. He'll likely start Week 1, but I would bet he's on the bench by midseason.

You've got to be able to think the position. Cerebral and processing abilities all trump running, jumping, spinning and hitting for a QB.

Again, you’re confusing talent with skill and production.

Lawrence Phillips was one of the most talented RBs ever, yet he was a total flop. Jeff George was one of the most talented QBs ever, yet his career was extremely disappointing.

Talent doesn’t mean you’re great or even good. Talent means you have gifts that can’t be taught.

Thats why the term "waste of talent” exists, because the talent for the player to be more exists, but it wasn’t fulfilled.
