Here is the move I really want the Sixers to do. No idea if Utah would do it.

Grab Tre Johnson at the 5

Hope Cedric Coward is available at 21 or within striking distance of moving up

That should free up more money to re-sign Yabu and Grimes

Absolutely it's a better play IMO

There was throw to Brown that I've been trying to find. Pretty sure it was against Commies. I remember it being a perfect bucket on the left side of the field. Though I don't know when it happened

You referring to the 4th and 5 play in the NFCCG?

You could have provided a link lol took awhile to find it but yes I think that was it

Also I believe that was a hip drop that wasn't called. So basket throw/catch while illegal hip drop tackle

. What should be the sentence for similarly reckless driving but where no injury was caused quite possibly because the police intervened?

Are you serious???

Theres a reason crimes are broken down into levels, murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, reckless driving, speeding, jay walking.

All carry different penalties according to the law based on severity of broken law.

The laws that Sanders Broke and the laws that Ruggs broke are totally different as such so should be the consequences.

This isnt a difficult concept.

Maybe youre just trolling because its the offseason and talking about hockey and the civil war is boring....

This is genuinely exciting. Young players in the second year of a bomb-ass system with a rock-solid coach that has a clear vision as to what he wants.

I’d say we’ve gotten worse. Our pass rush is worse and whilst I wouldn’t have signed Sweat at the deal he got I still think we got worse there. We also lost BG who played an important role in rotation and as a leader. We lost our starting RB who played at a high level. We lost our CB #1.5 (I’ll put Q alongside Slay last year) and then lost a good back up in Rodgers who came in and made plays.

Sure we’ve drafted and we’ve signed guys to 1 year deals and so that’s a bit unknown. Are we worse than this time last year? I agree that’s an unknown for sure… But we are worse than we were when the season ended I don’t think there’s much doubt about that.

FWIW you appear to be seeing things from a worst case scenario perspective. Here’s an equally optimistic perspective. Reality is somewhere in between.

Our pass rush is no better and no worse. Nolan Smith will continue his development and will be better. Ojulari replaces Sweat’s 33 sacks over 4 years with his own 22 sacks over 4 years, so a step back there. Jalyx Hunt like Smith will continue his development. BG was on IR and Huff was a non-factor. Uche and APR should be able to contribute more than the nothing we got from the two of them.

I’m no sure when we lost our starting RB. Saquon is still here.

We did lose our aging CB #1.5. His 2025 could be like Bradberry’s 2023. Aging CBs frequently fall off a cliff. Slay in 2025 was every bit as much of a question mark as Ringo is.

Rodgers and Jackson are a push.

Mc Williams is an improvement over Maddox.

It truly is amazing that 10 of our 11 likely starters on defense will be on rookie contracts (I know Reed technically isn't because he was an UDFA, but he is paid like he is). 9 of 11 if Jackson beats out Ringo. Howie's drafting on the defensive side has been unreal for about 4 years now. Young guys I expect to be better: Carter, Davis, Ojomo, Smith, Hunt, Q and Coop. Ojomo in particular I think will seamlessly replace Williams -- his pass rush win rate was basically the same, and I think the real bonus is playing next to Carter. Davis seems to have discovered a pass rush (and a Peloton), and Hunt got demonstrably better last year.

Call me crazy, but I think this defense could be just as good as last year. No one was too excited about Milt and Sweat until they dominated the Super Bowl. Slay needed to go, and CJGJ did give up a lot of plays (also made a lot of plays to be fair). I'm also interested to see how they do in year 2 of Vic's system.

As for the offense, 9 of the 11 likely starters are Pro-Bowl caliber. 7 of those 9 were drafted by the Eagles. Currently, only Goedert and Dotson are unsigned after 2025. Steen after 2026. Lane after 2027.

Hurts, Barkley, Brown, Smith, Mailata, Dickerson, Jurgens, and maybe Lane will be here for the next three season.

Probably not. Still what I'd be asking for if they're in love with Ace

True , he is fast but he is also smaller than most FBs. He is lighter than either Dillon or Barkley.

The cut up he used in the article highlights the lack of power he has as a blocker. He gets to the block extremely fast but doesn't really move defenders off of their spot.

I think we should talk about the Roman Empire for a change. I think Sulla crossed the Rubicon before Caesar.

From what Ive read and hear, is Jazz are perfectly fine staying at 5 and taking whoever is there.

Actually wouldnt surprise me if they traded down a few soots and took Demin from BYU, or just took him at 5.

Uh-oh. Get the salary dump part. But no Oubre too? We need a good big man pronto.

Jazz arent taking PGs atrocious contract to move up 2 spots. Nor are they giving up Kessler to the Lakers.

Those 3 trades would be great for the sixers and lakers and awful for the jazz

I don't think Rodgers and Jackson is a push is a fair statement. Rodgers played well when called upon and we never saw Jackson in this system yet. Also, Jackson will be 30 by Week 2 or 3, Rodgers is 27. Rodgers got $8M guaranteed on the open market where as Jackson just $1M, so the league also see's one as more favorable.

Calling a 5th Round rookie we haven't even seen take a practice rep yet as an improvement is pretty optimistic as well. If all things go well, he may not see the field much anyway though.

I think there's going to have be some turnover to consider though in these entrenched positions. In 3 years the defense isn't going to be on rookie contracts anymore which means the offense will have to get younger/cheaper to compensate for that.

I'm not trying to imply a doom and gloom scenario, the core is very solid for this team. A lot can change in 3 years in the NFL though.

You didnt ask if Sanders should receive the same legal consequences as Ruggs

You said treatment.

Treatment includes court of public opinion

In the court of public opinion Ruggs murdered a dog as well as a person

While in a legal sense one can argue intent, while he didn't intend to kill anyone he did intend to recklessly drive while intoxicated which resulted in the death of another human and that humans pet.

Vehicular manslaughter was the charge as to the woman’s death. Level of intent is determinative in a criminal death case.

My comment about the dog dealt with how the animal’s death is treated under the law, not public opinion.

What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately.

The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental Health Month, it felt like the right moment to speak up.

Mental health can feel like something we’re supposed to keep to ourselves, especially as men. But the numbers tell a different story. Around 1 in 10 men deal with depression or anxiety each year, yet far fewer reach out for help. Even more alarming: men account for nearly 75% of suicide deaths, despite being less likely to talk about what they’re going through.

That silence is heavy. I’ve carried it myself. But what I’ve learned—slowly and honestly, the hard way—is that opening up matters. Getting support matters. You don’t have to wait until you hit rock bottom to ask for help. You don’t have to go through it alone.

So if any of this resonates with you—if you’re struggling in your own way—I just want to say: you’re not alone, and it’s okay to reach out. To a friend, a therapist, a hotline—whatever feels doable. Just don’t keep it all inside.

Please take care of yourselves, and check in on the people around you. You never know who might be carrying more than they’re showing.

Check my signature. Seek the help you need. Let us know how we can help.

Fair, but as an overall play, I think it is much more impressive than the Dagger.

Dagger is wildly overrated IMO. I understand the significance behind it which makes it a bigger deal than it really is, but the play itself is something you see in a lot of NFL games week to week.

Frankly, DeJean's INT and run back was far better and a bigger deal than the Dagger.

The Dagger was more fun than important to the game. If you’re an Eagles fan or Chiefs hater, it was the cherry on top of the Super Bowl Sundae.

Yup. As a play, both in importance and beauty, the DeJean INT has that beaten hands down.

Plus it being Coop’s first INT and on his birthday. And it ended a defensive series that started with back to back sacks.

Was great all around.

DeJean's pick six was a huge moment, but it was one of many moments. The Dagger was ***the*** moment that ended it, that stuck the knife in KC's chest and twisted it.

We've seen pick 6's in Super Bowls and we've seen teams come back from four touchdowns down to win it.

But never 34. Never like that. The Dagger was undeniably the moment where everyone watching knew that Fing game was over.

I like it a lot.

Sexton doesnt do much for me because we have enough scoring guards. But he is an expiring deal. Maybe you can flip him for another pick or player.

Love getting some wings.

How did Vanderbilt look coming back from his injury though? Not sure if he is back to the player that he was or not?

I liked the deal with just Utah better because we were getting John Collins and Sexton who are both expiring contracts. But Collins is actually worth keeping as a stretch 4 who can help with our rebounding woes.

Actually, I may be wrong. Maybe Sexton and Collins have 2 years left on their deals. The other day when I saw the PG for Collins/Sexton rumor I checked it on the NBA trade machine (ESPN) and it definitely showed 1 year remaining. Today its showing 2. Who knows.

But Id do either deal anyway.
