What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

Yeah, I don’t think there’s going to be any anger from the fans on this. Billionaires arguing with millionaires…

Maybe one day we will get a 7 rushing TD game from our QB.

He's not wrong though. Likely a better chance of that happening

I get people had man crushes on Becton for traits and probably over rated his play as a result. Dude was a rarity and I thank him for SB59. But lets see what he does this yr away from our line.

I am far more concerned about TE than RG. And adequate RG is probably just fine this yr

With Goedert resigned you are still concerned about TE?

Considering he doesn’t stay healthy

Yes

My kids tell me that some teenagers even sneak them into school. I hope they are only using them in the smoking courts.

Whoever plays RG will not be as good as Becton. Period.

Becton wasn’t All Pro. Not saying any of the current players vying for the role will be better. Frankly, inactive Keegan looked more technically sound at G than Becton did in TC last year. But Keegan does not have the same combination of size and athleticism that Becton had. None of the Gs have the reach (35” arms) and speed (1.77 ten yard) of Becton. But their athleticism is not that far behind Becton that they can’t with better technique be as good as Becton.

Yes

I think Calcaterra is a good replacement. I also think BVS as a FB has good potential. I am more concerned about safety depth.

Yeah I don’t think Green is going to make the 53 but hey with Stout you just never know. With Steen I’m just not convinced yet. He was given the chance last summer to win the job and yes he got hurt but ultimately Becton won that job. I’m just not sure he’s the answer but having Pryor there gives us some experience.

Steen has only been playing OL for five years but now is in year 3 as a G. So Green has more experience at G than Steen, Keegan has more experience at G than Steen. Pryor has the most experience at RG but whereas Becton was a dancing bear, Pryor is more of a hippo.

An update on the pitches and conditions in the club world cup. Teams aren't happy with the conversion from field to real turf (even if the article gets its wrong with the Linc).

The heat is really playing a factor in Club World Cup and that is likely to repeat in next year’s World Cup.

It was his first time playing guard, ever. All those other guys had played the position for years yet he still beat them out. There is no reason to think he wouldn't improve with experience and his trajectory last season bears that out. Not only did he have greater speed and reach but he also had 40-50 pounds on them. I believe the Eagles thought his health was going to be an issue and that's why they let him walk. I could well be wrong. We'll see how he does with the Chargers; that's a good spot for him since Harbaugh loves to run the ball.

Tons of kids are using them in schools. It is a suspendible offense, but they do it anyway.

I have concerns about both.

Goedert is a great player… when healthy. We don’t have a guy who is a good blocker in-line, and we are a running team.

Becton literally got All-Pro votes. He was a tremendous run blocker last season and as JR said, his play improved as the season progressed.

Assuming his health holds up, the guy absolutely has all-pro potential. We should have kept him in my view.

Agreed. Was hoping for the two B's to return. Think it was a cap issue. We have almost $80 million in dead money now.

Is Keegan unable to play on the right side?

The Eagles had 1556 yards rushing in the 7 games Goedert missed last season or 51% of their season total of rushing yards. I don't think his absence impacted the effectiveness of the running game.

I was home being - annoyed - with Chip for pulling Foles in what, middle of the 3rd quarter or something? He could have set a record that would likely stand for a long time if given the opportunity. I understand not wanting to run up the score on a bad team but damn ..........

You misremember. He gave Foles two more series after the seventh TD and only pulled him with 9:23 to go in the fourth quarter. At that point, with the size of the Eagles lead, it would have been the heighth of bush league to have Foles throwing the ball. That’s the kind of thing a Jerry Jones might do, but I am relieved the Eagles did not.

I don’t see why he couldn’t, especially after a red-shirt season practicing on both sides. He needed to get stronger, as did Steen.

I didn't read by our QB. I was like we ran 7 TDs in against the commies in the NFC Championship game. Which by the way tied the 1940 Bears for most rushing TDs in a single playoff game.

Very similar in size and athleticism to Seumalo coming out of college. Not as fast as Becton and shorter arms but I do like his technique. Wish he had a bit more junk in the trunk. I do wonder how well he snaps.
