What about an irrational number?

OL Factory.

If you guys start talking jersey numbers I'm gonna start tagging EagleVA asking about NASA. You've all been warned furious

The cost is being defrayed by the defense. Unless I’m wrong, 9 of our 11 defensive starters are on rookie contracts. Baun and Blankenship being the exceptions and Blankenship is getting peanuts.

It will be real interesting to see over the next few years how Howie layers in the big contracts for Carter, Smith, Mitchell, and DeJean. Whom from the offense doesn't get a third contract?

I am thinking that, for now, RG, WR3, TE2 will be the cost effective positions on offense. I can also see them not signing Ojomo and letting him walk after 2026 - treating the DT next to Carter as a one-contract position.

Sweat’s performance in this game still blows me away 5 months later.

I'm ready to roll. @LeanMeanGM just wait, someone is going to take 0.

Curious how this will work out. OSU is a Nike school but Smith now has a contract with Adidas. Will he wear Adidas cleats and cover the logo mark?

Huff murdered it. I actually liked Swift in it with the visor.

If Terrace Marshall wanted any shot at making the team he should give up half his salary to get out of #46

For my money, he was the real MVP, if they had to pick a single individual. But, its a QB driven league, so a different position winning the award these days is just a pipe dream, let alone a defensive player.

OL leadership is in good hands.

Part of the problem is that it's hard to pick just one person on that defense. Sweat dominated but the secondary gave up nothing. DeJean's pick 6 was a great example of a great individual play supported by the scheme and execution around him. Baun's INT on that same play was not just the result of Sweat's pressure but because Baun was ready for it.

Doesn't hurt that 68, 69, 51 and 65 are fantastic leadership numbers. They need that to help out whatever 56 is supposed to be.

Understood. But for me, that defensive performance should have been rewarded with SOME player on the defense getting the MVP award, Sweat just seemed like the best choice of that group. But, like I said, that will almost never happen again. Even before the league leaned super heavy bias to offense and specifically to the QB, defensive MVPs are already ridiculously rare in the history of the Super Bowl.

56 will always be BNE to be.

It’s a fine LB/DE number. Just doesn’t seem right on a G.
