I can think of notable historical DCs that IMO would be HOF worthy if it was a thing, but having a much harder time thinking of career OCs that fit that description

More OCs turn HC and stick there than the flip side these days.

Norv Turner would be an interesting candidate as an OC, IMO.

His failure as a HC, like Fischer would keep him out IMO. Rivers should have had 3 SB’s if it wasn’t for him.

It was a back and forth between two posters.

It was back and forth drivel. The article was clickbait. But have at it. You answered my question. Time’s yours.

Most recent brisket cook…2 weeks ago. Got it pretty dialed in now.

One of the biggest difference makers has been doing a long rest….around 8-10 hours at 150.

To fuel some off season convo’s…calling Fangio ‘great’ as a DC. The HOF doesn’t recognize coordinators and positional coaches for nomination. Is Fangio a HOF worthy DC if that door opens?

Thinking of some others off the top of my head from semi recent Eagles history:

JJ

Mudd

Stoutland

Spags

Stoutland ought to be a HOF coach.

What teams do you think had the best offseasons and worst offseasons?

Off the top of my head, the Vikings had a great off season and they already have a good team. They invested in the trenches heavily and brought in a nice complementary back in Mason. Kept some of their own guys... Really think are going to be tough.

Bears also had a very good off season. With the amount of money Washington had to spend I wasn't blown away. If I was a fan I'd be more on the disappointed side. NE had a decent off season too. The Rams pretty good overall including the draft. I hate that they added Josaiah Stewart to their already pretty good defense.

The one thing I hate is that it is all supposition......until the games start being played, until we see (including the Eagles) what injuries occur....you never really know. That's why the NFL is so great, every game means so much....there are only 17 of them. Baseball on the other hand......meh (at least until the playoffs).

Only thing for the Vikes is QB. Could derail all the good work they have done building a well rounded team.

Yeah the will go As the "rookie” qb goes…but they do have a good coach

The best is most likely the Pats. Major upgrade at HC and drafted their LT of the future. Added a lot of valuable pieces in FA even though paying Milton that much will look dumb pretty early on.

The worst has to be the Jags unless Hunter is a pro bowler on both sides of the ball. It’s amazing how really bad teams so often seem to get worse.

Wheeler pitching a gem. Finally got some run support! I was just about to post about them being bums. The tried and trusted Philly way lol

Just 1 pitch from perfection.

As much as some of us complain about them... the Phillies are still putting up a helluva season.

True. Most, if not all, of the successful OCs went on to become HCs. Whether they were successful or not as HCs they no longer qualified as career OCs. We might say the same of LeBeau, Spagnuolo, and Fangio. As HCs they were undistinguished.

Hey everyone, sorry I've been away for a while. Everything's ok here but as you know, the health situation takes full priority and for the past couple of months, it's been taking all of my attention. Along with other issues that take my time and attention.

We've been in the hospital a few times in the past month and a half or so, nothing major but hospital visits none the less.

Add on top of all that, we have Geo Thermal HVAC systems, which require wells for water to operate. The return well began bubbling up in the yard, meaning we need new return wells (we need 2 because we have two systems). That's over $8k alone, not to mention that the older of the systems is over 30 years old and needs to be replaced and you can imagine the cost for that! But without the new wells, I have to have a garden hose running out to the yard to flow the water out as the HVAC runs, which of course, floods the yard and makes cutting the grass fun.

With this heat as it has been, it's been a very real struggle to keep things cool enough for my mother, and when it's not cool enough, she as breathing issues due to the scar tissue from the lung cancer, which is still no longer showing on any of her CT scans. But each day has its health struggles and challenges and I've just been very occupied with that and haven't been able to do much else.

I sincerely apologize for not checking in from time to time, but time really does slip away so quickly that I didn't even realize how close to training came we are.

As time allows, I'm going to try to catch up on any issues that may be going on with the board, which I'm sure there are some.

Geez VABeach- you are juggling a lot. I hope you get great news and outcomes everyday.

We don't deserve you.

This is someone who is helping my Grandmother in her later years and dealing with a Manic depressive and/or a Bipolar disorder issue himself. I am a lunatic.

ever apologize to us for dealing with things like this.

You don't need to ever apologize for things like this taking your attention away from this silly place. D

I am so glad to hear that the cancer hasn't reared its ugly head again. Keep taking care of what really matters... we'll be fine. thumbsup
