I know the first SB ring was special because it was the first, but I remember them releasing details about the ring itself prior. There were a lot of meaningful things they put on it. I have been busy and not paying much attention, but it seems like we haven't really heard much about this one.

I'm sure their media team will put something together like they normally do after events.

Not just professional sports. There are more than a few large $$$$ private jets at places like Cayman Islands, Antigua and the like. Are the passengers just on vacation, or are they coincidentally running into people like them and having conversations 'off the record'? Being in the same place at the same time out of the public eye is merely a coincidence mind you.

Yeah. There is no such thing as a coincidence. Something happened in my work world last year and was all done via friends having a bit of a catch up over dinner, etc over a period of 18 months, so things didn't leak externally if it didn't work out.

Being very cynical.

Teams collectively looking after their own interests, while Agents are looking after their clients interests. A novel concept in business.... I do think that some teams may chat face to face at the Senior Bowl, Combine etc on some hypothetical deals they'll do to gauge perception, and agents may look after a players best interest on a bad team.

If anyone is dumb enough to have that written down or verbally recorded, they deserve the punishment. Is it right to do, no. But that is real world we live in

Not cynical, just damned tired of overblown sensationalism on these reports. Like the crap that the decisions were "hidden”. Bull. They just weren’t in the public eye. I’d be willing to be that I have been involved in more arbitration matters than almost anyone in here. Arbitration is a good tool, especially for B2B disputes and employment contract disputes. But the results aren’t as visible as a published decision from a court and they don’t need to be. Most contracts follow the American Arbitration Association rules, which are open to the public on its website. They are perfect for contract disputes, which is what these cases were.

Basically, the arbitrators found the initial behavior was questionable but the end result was no collusion and no faking of injuries. As I said, all smoke and no fire.

From what I remember all the details came out the same night as the ceremony was going on. I’d imagine they would want to surprise the players/staff first before making it public knowledge.

But this whole ring ceremony has just been weird from the beginning so who knows. I just hope they look good and aren’t some rushed abomination or boringly generic.

As I said, this was BS

Rumor out there that Lurie is not actually short on cash. The previous iteration of the LIX ring had the Epstein list engraved on it. That is why the delivery of the rings was delayed. Rumor has it, there will be no list on the rings received at today's ceremony.

Beats getting in on the Nasty Nate

Likely just a fan creation of what the ring might look like but wanted to post just in case. I'll put in spoiler in case

That's journalism now (especially sports jounralism), there's little to no journalistic integrity anymore. Everything is sensationalized to get clicks and views, everything is clickbait. Very rarely is there an actual thought-out piece of journalism that's worth reading.

The Athletic used to be good, now it's crap. Maybe PHLY is better but I wasn't taking that chance even though Charlie O Connor is writing for them (his pieces have always been great, even when he was writing for that Flyers SBNation blog. He was the only one worth a damn on that team it's no shock they collapsed after he left).

Hope not. That’s just the first SB ring with two trophies instead of one. Everything else looks exactly the same.

The side is different. It was mainly just in case. I doubt that's real

Wouldn't be surprised if it was AI and used the first ring as a template

Disagree. It's a party/celebration of what they accomplished. They should be able to enjoy it amongst themselves without the overhang of being worried about social media and the public watching their every move.

I hope they don't have both Lombardis on the ring. Only 4 guys were even on the first Championship team and it's a weird thing for the rest of the majority of the guys who were in 2 Super Bowls but only won once. I understand the importance to the franchise, but let these guys and staff have their own thing.

Agree to disagree. Fans are a huge part of it

Yup. The only reason to put 2 would be if they won back to back. They did not, but instead were separated by 7 years. Graham, Johnson, Elliott, and Lovato are the only ones that got 2 here. So, in essence, this one has nothing to do with the first one. Even amongst the coaches, only Stoutland is a holdover, I believe.
