The wings probably added two months to the design and assembly process.

No doubt. Quality control nightmare

Pretty cool to see Nolan Smith talk in front of the team after a playoff win. A young guy stepping up being a leader

That was one of his more talked about attributes going into the draft process. Definitely a team leader. Definitely articulate and effective.

Makuba still holding out, likely to go back to Texas.

Jake worthy of two rings. Maybe the most underrated aspect of the 2024 Eagles was how clutch Jake was vs the Rams. Drilling those kicks in the snow. The Eagles don't win that game without them.

(game wouldn't have been close in normal weather though)

The new ring makes the first one look like a high school class ring.

Do they need to push the button again to get it to close or do they need to push the wings in to get it to close?

just push them like aj did

essentially the signing bonus plus the first three years guaranteed but the fourth year not guaranteed. That seems pretty reasonable.

The Eagles used a new ring make this time. Last time I think it was Jostens. This time it sounds like a WIP caller. Jason of Beverly Hills.

So because Texans and Browns decided to give fully guaranteed contracts to 2nd rounders.. other rookies are holding out for one as well?

Brandon Thorn's OL rankings. Spoiler....we are really good. https://trenchwarfare.substack.com/p/ranking-the-top-15-players-at-each-be0?r=2shrw&utm_medium=ios&triedRedirect=true

6. Jordan Mailata - Mailata is coming off of a 12-start, Second Team All-Pro season in 2024. It was the best year of his career, despite the fact that he missed four games due to a hamstring injury. At 6’8”, 360+ pounds, Mailata is a startlingly smooth mover, special run blocker and has increasingly improved in pass protection to the point that his overall game belongs firmly in tier two. Mailata will still struggle to mirror against adept counters and inside moves, but this issue arose at a lower clip in 2024 than any point over the last three seasons. It’s important for context to note that he plays next to an elite-level left guard in Landon Dickerson, and Philadelphia ran the ball more than any team in the league last year. This resulted in the O-line’s percentage of pass blocking snaps (46%) being lower than any team in football by a wide margin. Mailata has had the luxury of operating in as close to ideal circumstances as possible since becoming a starter, which has been critical to his rise. Considering his obscure background, he remains one of the most impressive developmental stories in NFL history.

4. Landon Dickerson - There is no secret who Dickerson is as a player and how he wins. He is 6’6”, 340 pounds with elite play strength and light feet. Those traits manifest each week as a stout, firm anchor that eats the bull-rush and provides tangible stability to the integrity of the Eagles pocket. Dickerson also creates displacement in the run game and sets the tone physically with his ability to put defenders in the ground. Dickerson has the luxury of operating inside the most run-heavy scheme in the league, which resulted in him taking 100 or more less pass blocking snaps than the previous three players. That said, Dickerson is rarely beaten clean in pass protection. That is rare in of itself but even more so when you consider that his game is predicated off of size and physicality, which is exactly why he is deserving of being included in this tier.

4. Cam Jurgens - It is difficult to split up Jurgens and Baltimore’s Tyler Linderbaum considering both offer special qualities as run blockers with comparable, solid-to-good pass protection skills. Both are on the lighter side and came out in the same draft class. Jurgens gets the nod due to having more length and freakish strength that allows him to better deal with power and compensate for his lack of girth and mass. Jurgens redshirted his rookie season behind Jason Kelce and then had to play right guard during his second season, while Linderbaum has had three consecutive seasons as a starting center. There’s a strong argument that Jurgens ceiling is a bit higher, but at the end of the day both are top five centers in football.

1. Lane Johnson - Johnson will enter his fifth straight season as the top-ranked right tackle in these rankings after putting together the best year of his career. In 2024, he wasn’t just the best right tackle but the best overall offensive lineman in the NFL. It is worth pointing out that Johnson operated inside a scheme that passed the ball at a lower percentage (46.9%) than any team in football, but you can literally count on one hand the amount of times he was challenged in pass protection, much less beaten cleanly. Somehow this only earned him Second Team All-Pro honors behind Lions RT Penei Sewell but more on that shortly. Johnson has essentially become the Joe Thomas of the right tackle position over the last few seasons due to his machine-like consistency, well-roundedness and dominance.

Just like war and diplomacy/politics, holdouts are just another (extreme) form of negotiation.

Browns screwing teams over in contracts again

AJ: "I know it ain't easy, but we gotta do this again"

See ya down broad street in February, AJ.

Walmart level rings. Jeffery is pulling out all the stops to put up a brave front.

The wings popping out is a cool feature, but even if they didn't pop out and were just there on the ring where they are, they're super cool looking.

The whole ring is dumb, as is every one of these rings.

But that’s what makes it great

GwO4JuGWYAAMmgU?format=jpg&name=small

When you view it at this angle you can see why they pop out. I think it's Fing cool as hell. Especially if it's sitting on a little ring stand on a shelf. Or a display case.

The rings are fire. Can't wait to buy a replica.

About half are signed now. 2 or 3 more guys ended up with fully guaranteed deals.

There were a few that signed around Makuba already. It should be done in a day or two.
