I hope all of you have had a great offseason. The team that shall not be named here heads out to camp today and I’m just starting to get into football mode.

I read an interview that Jimmy Jump Up recently gave regarding that team.

"For a Cowboys team that went 7-10, there are many games on the schedule that should be challenging but Johnson is likely referring to the late-November run when they face six straight playoff teams in a 32-day window.

Of those six teams, two of them were in the Super Bowl in Philadelphia and Kansas City. The Cowboys play those teams in a four-day stretch from Nov. 23-27, followed by a road game to Detroit, home games against the Vikings and Chargers and then a Christmas Day road game in Washington.”

This was in reference to Jimmy saying health is the number one key since the team is top heavy on salary for just a couple of players and lack the depth of most other NFL teams have. I haven’t even looked at the complete schedule yet but that stretch in late November through December doesn’t look good for my team.

8-9 or 9-8 would be about the best I expect this year for my team. It’s going to be interesting to see if the Eagles can break this crazy streak of no back to back division champions since the Eagles did it from 01’ - 04’. My money says we have the first back to back champions in 20 years in the NFCE.

I guess it’s inevitable that Avonte Maddox is going to get hurt now that he’s a Lion. After all, we know he’s been a model of health throughout his career and the only reason for an injury now would be because of a curse.
