You seem like a bot sometimes with your auto-defense of Hurts.

How is that making reference to Jags and Panthers?

Jags game also not a good example.

Hurts vs Jags: 230 passing yards, 75.0%, 9.6 YPA, 2 TD passes, 0 INT, 132.3 QB rating, 67 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD.

Similar theme that we are seeing as well for thr Jags game, Jalen Hurts had the 3rd highest QB rating of amy QB against the Jaguars last season.

Also that game was on it's way to being a blowout but a Barkley fumble returned for a TD where he was clearly down amd it should have been ruled down put the Jags back into it and gave them life. Also Sirianni continually going to the Tush Push when the Jags kept stopping it cost the Eagles points throughout the game that then kept it within reach for the Jags at the end.

As for the Panthers game I dont think we should be taking anything away from that game other than it was a classic trap game that every team faces over the course of a season, but the Eagles managed to walk away from it with a win.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, a one-year rental for Hendrickson as an Eagle is a win for him and a win for the Eagles. Have a banner year as an Eagle and then cash in during Free Agency as a UFA. It sure beats sitting out a year.

You continue to focus on the statistics rather than the process.

Try talking about the process those respective DCs deployed. That is where the meat of the discussion lies.

The whole point of his holdout is he's not playing on his current deal. He saw in the last few months what Garrett, Crosby and Watt just got. He's not doing a prove it deal.

The process was Hurts having a lot of success against the defenses on the way to the Eagles winning.

The mental gymnastics some of you want to tey to do is nonsensical. Jalen Hurts is held to an impossible standard of delusion by many here. We saw it theoughout the season and now we are starting to see it relating to his Super Bowl MVP performance. He is the only QB in the league that is expected to play flawlessly every single snap. Even if he had 100% completion in a game, there would be people here that would find. A way to complain about the passes he didn't attempt/WRs he didn't throw too on a specific play instead of another.

how much do you give up for him, that's where the "lose" side comes in.

It's not going to extremes. It's pointing out the extremes of insanity people like you go to in order tontry to twist good games from Hurts into being bad games.

You act as if there aren't users here that will take 20 different screenshots of a play to try to argue that a deep pass completion TD was actually a hair underground so it actually wasn't a good pass at all.

I thought he had a great game in the SB. Not sure where you got that from

I remember that discussion. People said it was a hair under thrown so it actually wasn’t his best pass. He’s thrown better. You downgraded it to fit your shtick 🤷‍♂️

Is this the part where we all return from summer vacation and say what we did this summer? Or did i miss that?

Some interesting thoughts on roster construction as we start camp:

  • Will we carry 4 RB/FBs? Or do we try and sneak Dillon to the PS? My personal belief is that they will keep both Dillon and VanSumeren on the 53. Dillon may be inactive, but he's here as insurance in case Barkley has to miss a few games.

  • Does A. Williams make the team as a return specialist, meaning we carry 6 WRs? I think so, and I think A. Smith/Wilson/Marshall are fighting for 2 spots. I think they give up on A. Smith.

  • Do we carry 2 or 3 TEs? I think 2, and we bet 1-2 of the guys we cut can be snuck to the PS.

  • The OL will be fascinating. I think we could keep 11 -- the 5 starters, 3 rookies, and Green, Pryor and Lamm. Lamm feels like the swing tackle, and Pryor could win the RG job if Steen struggles. Green...I don't think he makes it to the PS with his 1st round pedigree.

  • I really wish we could keep P. Johnson for special teams, but I think they try and get him to the PS. The Giants claimed him last year, but hopefully we can sneak him through this year.

  • With Dean likely on PUP, I think we roll with 4 LBs, which is light. If Campbell isn't ready, we may have to carry 5.

  • I think they still like Ricks enough to keep him on the 53

Here's my best guess as of today:

I have confidence in Hurts. What I wonder about is will the coaching staff adjust accordingly.

We've been over what Spags did in the SB but not what Schwartz and Tomlin did. Here it is. 8-9-10 guys on or near the LOS and a single high safety, the other safety in the box. Single coverage on the receivers. These are all neutral downs. None of this is particularly innovative; it's just a commitment to stopping Barkley at the expense of coverage.

We will keep 3 RB and 1 FB but the 3rd RB is not on on the roster as of today. It will be someone we sign that another team cuts or we get in one of those late training camp player swap trades.

The owner talking about not knowing why they need the voiding language in their rookie contract is even worse.
