What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

The owner talking about not knowing why they need the voiding language in their rookie contract is even worse.

How many of those games did the Eagles lose?

Why do you hate Jalen Hurts?

Kracz’s McWilliams take is a tad aggressive

They should use these full time, better than the white.

Some interesting thoughts on roster construction as we start camp:

  • Will we carry 4 RB/FBs? Or do we try and sneak Dillon to the PS? My personal belief is that they will keep both Dillon and VanSumeren on the 53. Dillon may be inactive, but he's here as insurance in case Barkley has to miss a few games.

  • Does A. Williams make the team as a return specialist, meaning we carry 6 WRs? I think so, and I think A. Smith/Wilson/Marshall are fighting for 2 spots. I think they give up on A. Smith.

  • Do we carry 2 or 3 TEs? I think 2, and we bet 1-2 of the guys we cut can be snuck to the PS.

  • The OL will be fascinating. I think we could keep 11 -- the 5 starters, 3 rookies, and Green, Pryor and Lamm. Lamm feels like the swing tackle, and Pryor could win the RG job if Steen struggles. Green...I don't think he makes it to the PS with his 1st round pedigree.

  • I really wish we could keep P. Johnson for special teams, but I think they try and get him to the PS. The Giants claimed him last year, but hopefully we can sneak him through this year.

  • With Dean likely on PUP, I think we roll with 4 LBs, which is light. If Campbell isn't ready, we may have to carry 5.

  • I think they still like Ricks enough to keep him on the 53

Here's my best guess as of today:

Carrying 11 OL is tough. Don't sleep on Hinton or Williams getting the mysterious hip pointer late in camp.

Ricks v TE3 v S5 will be interesting.

The process was Hurts having a lot of success against the defenses on the way to the Eagles winning.

The mental gymnastics some of you want to tey to do is nonsensical. Jalen Hurts is held to an impossible standard of delusion by many here. We saw it theoughout the season and now we are starting to see it relating to his Super Bowl MVP performance. He is the only QB in the league that is expected to play flawlessly every single snap. Even if he had 100% completion in a game, there would be people here that would find. A way to complain about the passes he didn't attempt/WRs he didn't throw too on a specific play instead of another.

That is not the process. That is the result(s).

Try again. You can do better.

Not Za'Darius Smith who I've been hoping for, but he's still young. Decent probably borderline to make the roster. Never mind, older than I thought.

The whole point of his holdout is he's not playing on his current deal. He saw in the last few months what Garrett, Crosby and Watt just got. He's not doing a prove it deal.

I understand that, but that approach by him and his agent assumes that the Bengals will cave in and make him an offer he can accept (like Watt just accomplished with the Steelers); however, the Bengals may choose not to cave, and that blows up the assumption. Then the choice is sitting out the season, and walking away from $15.8 million, and going into 2026 Free Agency with no 2025 statistics to leverage. If you were him would you go that route, or would you be willing to consider alternatives?

But the Bengals are assuming he caves.

If he doesn't, they lose any hope of competing this season, lose a season of the Burrow/Chase/Higgins combo, and further cement their reputation as an inept and cheap franchise - diminishing their attractiveness to any potential impact free agents.

Hendrickson will eventually get paid. Can the Bengals as a franchise afford the cost of this potential outcome?

how much do you give up for him, that's where the "lose" side comes in.

I give up a 3rd Round pick in 2026 which would in time be offset by a 3rd Round Comp Pick in 2027 after his UFA signing with another team.

I’d add a condition to the 3rd Round pick that it becomes a 2nd Round pick if he ends up signing with the Eagles.

I'd be thrilled to use a random IR stash on Williams or Hinton - I just don't want to expose either to waivers.

Ricks vs. Cine vs. TEs vs. P. Johnson for one spot is basically how I looked at it.

It's not going to extremes. It's pointing out the extremes of insanity people like you go to in order tontry to twist good games from Hurts into being bad games.

You act as if there aren't users here that will take 20 different screenshots of a play to try to argue that a deep pass completion TD was actually a hair underground so it actually wasn't a good pass at all.

No, we are simply diving into game planning … thinking about what opposing Defensive Coordinators are likely to deploy, and how the Eagles will counter those deployments.

For instance, how did Spags deploy the Chiefs’ Defense in the Super Bowl, and what counter steps did the Eagles deploy in response. Which of those counter steps succeeded best? And what does that mean for the upcoming 2025 games?
