I think WFT will come in 3rd, or possibly dead last this season. I expect the Giants or us to win the division this season, but I believe both teams make the playoffs.

If I'm wrong on WFT, it's because Daniels is much better than I'm giving him credit for. I think he had a really good season last year, but he was way overhyped.

All of the above makes you wonder why they drafted APR.

APR dropped off in coverage at Virginia Tech. He didn't get all 19 TFL's hunting the QB. Very smart, very instinctive player.

Deebo is garbage and got less separation than any other receiver last year. He’s not a quality 2, he’s barely an NFL receiver at this point and they are paying him over 17 million. Tunsil is on the downside of his career and had 19 penalties last year. They drafted a guy at 29 - we’ll see if he can play. They won a bunch of close games on fluke plays and the schedule gets harder.

Signature bet? I will say they have a losing record.

They made the NFCCG last year overachieving…they added some decent talent, their future is bright if they can keep Daniels healthy.

Do we know that the owner wasn't getting some push?

Well there you have it, and both were converted RBs. Bad sign for Marshall.

Both Cleveland Browns too.

I knew Bobby Mitchell was a Brown. I only knew Warfield as a Dolphin. (Well, read about and watched video of... he was before my time too!)

Six years with the Browns, then five years with the Dolphins, then back to the Browns for two years.

I think the push was from Deion. He and Haslam got buddy buddy and Haslam did his new celebrity friend a solid.

Maybe. But the NHL has worked hard to keep the Russian relationship steady so guys like MM, Demidov, et al can get out of their KHL contracts early and come to the NHL.

How good are his chances of making the team? Have heard good things about him so not sure why he fell so far.

He fell mainly because he's undersized. The scouting says he can get swallowed up and moved in the run game.

I think his chances are that of a 6th rounder. Lots of potential upside but until we see how he's used and how he handles that role, there is no telling.

I don’t know if it was talked about already but the Packers new proposal will ban all pushing of a ball carrier.

While the whole thing is lame and petty, I don’t mind banning the other plays that include pushing.

Packers are annoying little ****es

Tunsil is a long way from done and is miles better than the dreck Washington had at LT last season. Lotta false start and illegal formation penalties, true. Some of that is coaching, because Tunsil wasn't the only guy doing it. That business about less separation than any other receiver is a peculiar stat, hard to prove and impossible to measure. Regardless, Washington is better than they were last year, IMHO. Whether their record reflects that I can't say but I'll wager something worthless that they have at the very least a winning record.

Petty it is indeed. Let's outlaw blocking while we're at it; what is that but pushing?

They are doing this on behalf of Goodell. Just like the Lions proposing the playoff reseeding.

Why is holding a penalty?

The biggest thing that could hold Washington back going forward was not protecting Daniels and him going the way of RG3. He took some rough hits last year. Some of that is on him, but I think they did a good job getting Tunsil and Conerly. I think they could really use a top end RB though. Robinson is OK I guess, but he's not going to keep defenses honest and take the offensive pressure off of Daniels.

The NHL and the people who vote for those awards are two separate entities.

That's the key. The only reason it became legal was because they removed the ban about pushing offensive ballcarriers. So, I guess that means no more scrums where the entire group moves en masse. That's fine. But, to single out one particular play, that's not fine. That's penalizing a team for being too successful at something that the entire league has the option to do, but can't perfect to the same degree.

It's about who is being pushed. Pushing the ball carrier (offensively) has been illegal in the past, but they removed the rule because it got tricky in the scrums where OL would be "pushing the pile". The OL had to push a defender, not the ball carrier to be legal.

Wasn't that the same knock on Donovan Ezeiruaku? Seem like a similar player although Ezeiruaku has a bit longer arms. That being said, I feel better about getting APR in the 6th as compared to Ezeiruaku in the 2nd.
