For some people but by no means all. In 59 years there has been exactly one Super Bowl (XLVIII) played in a cold weather open stadium and that was in New York, a center of the media universe. If I'm building a stadium with an eye toward uses beyond 12 or so football games per year, or maybe 20 games or so including college games. the ability to enclose the venue seems pretty compelling.

It’s going to be a dome and it has nothing to do with football and everything to do with how much more money you can make hosting other events like concerts and such.

Not what I’m saying. The next TV deals project to be huge. A much bigger pie. I agree that everything about the NBA is a mess. I don’t even know who won this past season nor do I care.

One does not need to care about the NBA in order to use it as a cautionary tale.

True.

Don’t now why I thought about this today

Nah when you are a billionaire who cares. Besides the city owns the stadium, no?

If we are relatively healthy at that time of the year then I don't see anyway we lose to the Bills. There might not be another team out there that gets such hype for no accomplishment like the Bills that annoys me more. It used to be the 49ers but they've since fallen.

Interesting that we have players 61-100 in the NFL Network Top 100 of 2025 and only one Eagles player (Malaita, 69) has been on the list so far. Eagles were the best team of this century so far in 2024. Are going to be majorly disrespected in this list or are they just going to be loaded within the top 60 players?

Players that SHOULD make the list but who knows at this point:

Barkley

Hurts

AJ

Lane

Carter

Baun

Players that probably are in the top 100 of the league but almost certainly not make the list at this point:

DeVonta

Quinyon

DeJean

Took a look at the opener tickets and they are more expensive than the NFC Championship Game.

Wild. I didn't make it to any of the playoff games or Super Bowl though so kinda feel like I have to at least go to this opener. The one game I made it out to last year was probably the best non-playoff home game when they played the Jaguars in Kelly Green and there were at least 4-5 unreal plays in that game including the Espy's play of the year Saquan backwards leap.

We ranked every NFL roster ahead of the season, then picked strengths, weaknesses, X factors and underrated players to know.

Good choice of a song.

Hard to imagine an offensive performance better than this one.

The only way a retractable roof would ever ben an acceptable option is if Lurie commits to the roof being open for all Eagles regular season and playoff games (non-Super Bowl) except in a situation where there is a nearby thunderstorm in forecast that could delay or pause the game otherwise. Every other form of weather is fair game and roof stays open. Maybe put in a provision if Canada wants to send down it's forest fire smoke again then let the roof be closed for that. It can be closed for everything else that stadium wants to and and intends to do that Lurie is thinking up.

This is a very loose design idea I have for it that I can go into much more later. The main idea though is that it is built in the navy yard and is a bowl but it is built up and out and of the ground. This creates the possibility for a better bowl and better view of the city. Entire stadium a bowl of seats. The end of the city there is however a large cutout of open air/space of the Eagles logo and through it you see the skyline of Philadelphia. Glass roof that is mandatory opened for all Eagles home games. When it opens too they flip up and outward so the stadium looks like it has wings extended like the Super Bowl Rings. On top of the open air Eagles log is a massive but very wide video highlight board extending the entire space of the north end of the stadium. On the sides for that same space are your club boxes. On top of every section of the stadium are giant statues of actual Eagle animals and all time Eagles greats. On these statues hang the banners of retired numbers and championship banners. They overlook the stadium as if Eagles in a nest. Various actaul eagles can be replaced in time by all time great Eagles players enshrined at the top of the stadium for all time like a Brian Dawkins or Jalen Hurts.

I love how this guy makes the whole lot of radical supporters look like idiots.

That quote was a horrible thing to hear a QB say but it wasn't allowed to be brought up in here.
