Tunsil is a long way from done and is miles better than the dreck Washington had at LT last season. Lotta false start and illegal formation penalties, true. Some of that is coaching, because Tunsil wasn't the only guy doing it. That business about less separation than any other receiver is a peculiar stat, hard to prove and impossible to measure. Regardless, Washington is better than they were last year, IMHO. Whether their record reflects that I can't say but I'll wager something worthless that they have at the very least a winning record.

OK, pick your stakes. Signature for 2 months? Avatar?

This interview of Howie by Dan Patrick has probably been posted before, but it never gets old.

It's about who is being pushed. Pushing the ball carrier (offensively) has been illegal in the past, but they removed the rule because it got tricky in the scrums where OL would be "pushing the pile". The OL had to push a defender, not the ball carrier to be legal.

We all know how this will be implemented. The refs will never call it downfield, only on QB sneaks and plays near the line. It's a total cop out move driven by jealousy.

That's the key. The only reason it became legal was because they removed the ban about pushing offensive ballcarriers. So, I guess that means no more scrums where the entire group moves en masse. That's fine. But, to single out one particular play, that's not fine. That's penalizing a team for being too successful at something that the entire league has the option to do, but can't perfect to the same degree.

Yea, How we got here is the problem.

But the pushing itself is an unfair advantage to the offenses who already have plenty of unfair advantages. So I like there are some minor adjustments to even out both sides.

Bingo. That's the real issue and probable outcome.

How good are his chances of making the team? Have heard good things about him so not sure why he fell so far.

If he is willing to be an ST demon, i would say above average

It's always been my opinion that the spirit of the term "forward progress" should apply to the runner, not the runner and his teammates.

That was 2023

He made all-pro this year while playing 80+% of his snaps on the outside

I've read he's likely to go back to nickel this year again.

BVS blew his knee against BAL in NOV, will he be back for TC or more likely PUP? I guess the question is, is an ACL injury an >8-month injury.

FWIW, he was out on the field for OTA's in is shersey.

Very cool - it would be great if he can be involved during TC.

Well, my avatar is worthless so sure, for two months. I’m saying 9-8 or better; you’re saying 8-9 or worse. Is that correct?

And the Eagles should have one guy on staff who's entire job is to watch every game and document how many times offensive players push the ball carrier and it is not called.

Personally, I don't see it as a big deal, because the QB sneak will still be effective with this OL. But it is annoying that this has to be an issue.

Yup. Works for me. 2 month avatar bet.

I really don't think it will have much of a practical impact on us, as I think our QB sneak will still be very effective. I could also see them using the current pushers to crash into the line on either side of the center, and Jalen picks a side. It's just pathetic and sad that the NFL is banning a play because one team is better at it than everyone else. We all know if the Giants, Cowboys or Chiefs were using this play, the NFL would never ban it.

But it’s proof a 5’11 dude with 29 inch arms can do it

Trent Mcduffie was an example as to why a CB can play in the NFL with under 30 inch arms when you said they couldn't do it. Not only play but be one of the best in the league. Who cares what the chiefs plans are for Mcduffie in 2026

I didn't say can't. I said they don't. So he got moved there out of necessity. Played great, and yet the team would still like to move him back inside.

Oy...

We don't all know that. There's a lot of victim mentality in this way of thinking. I do not subscribe.

The Mac Daddy may surprise. Evidently a fierce competitor. Looks like our dime CB in the other slot when teams go four wide. And supposedly a tiger in run support. Can play outside too but we'll have to see it to believe it.

I think WFT will come in 3rd, or possibly dead last this season. I expect the Giants or us to win the division this season, but I believe both teams make the playoffs.

If I'm wrong on WFT, it's because Daniels is much better than I'm giving him credit for. I think he had a really good season last year, but he was way overhyped.

I agree that the JD hype was too much, but I don’t see them dead last. I see them 2nd or 3rd in division (and only 3rd if the Giants are good…Dallas won’t be)

I see DC as a team who tried to build things the wrong way. They added aging vets and are going to take a step back like the Eagles did trying to build the "dream team".

Yes, Daniels is due for a MAJOR crash down from earth. Played way above his head in 2024. Anyone who saw him play at ASU knows what's up.
