Apparently, the vote happens before Christmas time, so this was well before the SB.

Yeah, I thought the voting took place before the end of the regular season. i think a lot of the league noticed when he got inserted after the bye week the defense really began to take off. I do think it helps he’s an exciting white flourishing at the position that doesn’t usually flourish at that position.

Yeah, I also think the two flash plays he made, laying out Derek Henry and shadowing and blanketing Jamar Chase on that movement screen, really turned heads and put him on the map.

Oh well. Seasons over. We’ll get em next year.

Surprise placement.

Is it normal to not release the details of what a coach makes? I swear Andy's got released in KC. Not that I care either way.

Yea, it’s pretty normal. The only way these things get out are by leaks. Teams don’t ever announce money, some don’t even announce years.

I like the implication of "franchise record. Like back in the 80s sports writers were tracking training camp completion numbers.

Wonder if he got PRP or stem cells a bit ago and they were just letting them work

With all the hype about the Vanilla Gorilla, it does make one wonder how the Eagles were able to get him so late. And to a certain extent why they took the chance on trading back when he was sitting there.. and multiple trade backs. 🤷‍♂️

To me, age becomes less of a concern once you reach Round 3. The pool of talent is pretty shallow by then. Age is one of hte lesser knocks on a guy, IMO, especially compared to size, strength, technique, etc.

Franchise record for practice roll

Hot take check...

How crazy is it to say Lane Johnson is the best Eagles player since Reggie White?

Listening to a bunch of different draft pods talk about him, him being 24 was one reason he fell. The other was he was in college 6 years. His first 5 years he had 1-2 sacks a season (5 total) and then took a big step as a pass rusher in his 6th season as he had 7 sacks. So there was a thought he finally reached his pass rush potential and some question whether it may have been he just was much more physical mature and experienced than some of the kids he was going up against.

Really isn’t a hot take. When kelce then Graham retired, i said he’s in line to pass them in games played as an eagle with how his contract is. Not only that outside of injury seasons/suspension, he’s been great when he’s been on the field. Imo he’s better than Kelce and i love Kelce. I think a lot of fans would have Kelce and some of it is play combined with the speech he gave. Imo lane for the position he plays has been just as dominant and I’d say when healthy more dominant.

I'm not sure why then. Cam knows him and advocated for him so they may have had some inside information.

Lane is my favorite Eagles O-lineman ever, but it was evident when they played together that prime Jason Peters was the better player.

Not odd at all. Why should we know what he is being paid. It’s none of our business.

Is what you are paid public knowledge?

We know what every other HC in the league is paid.

After some reflection, I think that is a reasonable take. Dawkins fans could easily disagree, of course.

Terrell Owens

First noticed DeJean by his college tapes played on his draft night. Impressed by his professional demeanor and confident in his games. During his rookie season, two plays stood out: the textbook take-down of Henry and the pick-6 in SB. He has caught a lot of praise for an illuminating season. Hope he could keep his head in the right place and keep on making plays.

BTW, as a RS, DeJean was just so-so. Looks like they are getting someone else to take that job. Better that way and also de-risk his chance of getting injury.
