First noticed DeJean by his college tapes played on his draft night. Impressed by his professional demeanor and confident in his games. During his rookie season, two plays stood out: the textbook take-down of Henry and the pick-6 in SB. He has caught a lot of praise for an illuminating season. Hope he could keep his head in the right place and keep on making plays.

BTW, as a RS, DeJean was just so-so. Looks like they are getting someone else to take that job. Better that way and also de-risk his chance of getting injury.

As a Punt Returner he took what was available. Not a lot of opportunities to get lengthy returns.

My early take on the initial 53

Nakobe and BVS will probably make it on here later in the season, perhaps phantom injuries to some of the rookie OL?

How does that relate to whether we know what you are paid? You are dodging the question.

How is that all relevant? Old man Matt once again having a meltdown over one of my posts.

We know how much every HC in the league makes. It is extremely abnormal that it has been over 2 months since Sirianni signed his new deal but we have gotten no information on how much the contract was for.

Pierce over Williams?

How is Sirianni’s right to privacy any different than yours? You are practicing a double standard.

Why do you wasn’t to know what he is paid?

The Christian Wilkins incident came out. He just wanted to give his teammate a big ol smooch on the head and someone didn’t like it

I posted on that so enough already. Just to repeat: five years, between $30 and $35 million, 11th highest paid HC in the league.

Yeah, if for nothing else depth. I know others prefer other names but AS Jr is still out there.

Starting to wonder if he’ll even play this year since he had neck surgery in April

Isn't it an extension? If so, then the new money doesn't kick in until next year. Maybe why it hasn't been publicly shared.

Good point. Although I really don’t see why any of us care what he is paid. It doesn’t go against the Salary Cap, so there really are no consequences for it no matter what it is.

Poor organizations do what poor organizations do. Whether it was this or the first scenario reported, a decent coaching staff would resolve it with the affected players before it ever became public discussion.

Well, with 4 days in the books, here are some random thoughts by position group.

QB: Nothing really surprising here. Nice to hear DTR had a good day Saturday, but this is going to be Hurts/McKee/McCord. I really don't think we learn much of anything about them as we don't know specifically what they are working on.

RB: Despite the constant posting by this section's troll saying he'll be cut, AJ Dillon seems to be having a good camp, particularly catching the ball. I like Shipley, but having Dillon to take the load off Barkley will be helpful.

WR: Liking what we are hearing about Marshall and Dotson. I thought they'd keep Wilson for STs, but seems like maybe he will be the odd man out.

OL: I'm not concerned about Steen, yet...but if he struggles when the pads come on, might be time for Pryor to get some reps with the 1s. I thought Steen was fine in the NFCCG, so I doubt we give up on him that fast.

TE: I haven't heard ANYTHING about the guys going for TE3. Feels like we keep Goedert and Calcaterra on the 53 and have a rotating cast on the PS to elevate as TE3.

DE: Concerning that we haven't heard much, if anything, about Ojulari or Uche. Hunt playing well is great, but the depth guys really don't seem to be making an impact. I still think this is a place where we look to add.

DT: I've always been irrationally optimistic about Ojomo taking over for Williams, but he seems to be backing that up. Him beating Dickerson in 1-on-1s today makes me less concerned that he's simply beating up on Steen. And Davis...if he can stay in shape...I really think we are fine here.

LB: Obviously Campbell practicing is the big news, and I feel like he should be next to Baun week 1. Trott seems to be fine/adequate as a spot starter and backup.

CB: Feels like Vic wants to go with the vet in Jackson. Maybe they are trying to send a message to Ringo, but it seems maybe Vic wants one vet in the secondary at least. Jackson is fine -- sort of an average NFL player.

S: Really no feel for who is winning the job between Brown and Mukuba. Obviously Mukuba being out is an issue if it lasts.

I hope Marshall has some decent PS games and they can flip him for something. It’s hard to stick around as the WR 4/5 and not play any ST’s. I guess that was basically Campbells role last year but he was a bit more proven plus it took Dotson awhile to get things down.

I thought it was going to be about needing his foot amputated. Know it was an issue last year

Jeff Kerr said Ty Robinson didn't have a good day, but Kempski and Fran both said he stood out today and made plays.

For like the 800th time, coaches contracts aren't filed with the league since there is no salary cap. Sometimes they leak, sometimes they don't. We do not have transparency to every head coach contract, despite what a troll wants to claim.

He is part of a profession where it is standard practice for the size of their contract to become common knowledge.

Just like any other deal a sports franchise hands out, it is the most telling of what an organization really thinks about someone and where they place their value among their peers around the league.

I have the theory and I still have it that they low balled him. That is why it took so long to grt done and that is why the details have not come out.

That article is from February talking about his contract he was on at the time. He signed his new deal in May.

Steen not having a great camp so far, Bo Wulf saying he looked pretty bad today. It's just a question of whether Ojomo and Booker are that impressive or if Steen is struggling that much. Both dominated him today.
