Not great for Adoree who seems to be in the lead by default from that answer.

Not good about the reserve pass rushers either.

Hopefully something happens with pads on today.

First of all, this is Vic Fangio we are talking about here. I've been complaining for nearly 2 decades about baseless training camp fluff about anyone and everyone...I'm certainly not going to be upset when someone finally breathes a little honesty into things.

Sydney Brown is good news; it means he actually is getting better.

Fangio has 100% taken a very public tough love approach with Jordan Davis. I don't read too much into this.

Our reserve edge rushers suck. They were all available when they were and for the price they were for a reason. Of course none of them have surfaced. If anything, it's a pleasant surprise he's not saying they suck.

An injured rookie is going to take small steps.

And Ringo...yeah, that's the one I wish he had more positives to elaborate, but fine from Fangio is probably fine.

These are all things we probably could have assumed on our own TBH.

After missing minicamp, and now missing about half of camp practices that have already happened, gotta figure hes behind.

I expect Sydney Brown to "win" that job, but Mukuba will take over whatever that role is by later in the year.

Pretty sure Mukuba was at OTAs and minicamp. He signed a participation agreement despite not having a contract.

Since we're taking best Eagles players since Reggie White: Lane Johnson or Jason Peters?

Dawkins

Peters was more powerful, but he got beat for pressure more than Lane does. Also the way he hung on too long when it was obvious that he wasn’t the same player anymore kinda left a bad test in the mouth.

He gets extra credit for emotion. Pains me to say this because he is my favorite Eagle of all time but Lane is better

The PEDs really punish Lane. If not for that, I'd argue he should be in Reggie's class. Was he THAT good? No. Arguably no one was. But Lane has 2 rings here. BG has 2, but he was more of a ceremonial player for the last one. A player with 2 rings, the best in the NFL at his position, all around elite...no one in franchise history checks all those boxes. Only Lane.

Peters always had that tendency to get caught sleeping around the edge, more often than Lane. More physically intimidating and more highlight reel blocks for sure (although just ask Von Miller about Lane his highlight reel).

Dawkins was in a special class too, but he was overshadowed by 2 safeties with a similarly impressive skill set that got rings.

Ringo was back with the 1's today and had a good day apparently.

Wasn't Lane initially drafted to replace Peters but Peters stayed?

Yup. He was going to be the LT of the future, but Peters just kept going.

Peters had a fascinating trajectory here. When he was first acquired, he actually had some trouble with conditioning and pass protection. Tra Thomas called him out for it. Then he settled in and was playing at an all pro+ level. Then he started getting hurt and they drafted Lane. Peters kept playing well and was just too good to move off LT and Lane was great at RT. And then Peters stopped playing well and kept getting hurt. And Lane was entrenched at RT and the LT search began. But Peters just wouldn't let go.

I remember for a few years towards the end that Peters kept getting false starts because his step was getting slower

Hopefully Lane will know when to retire

Oh yeah. Football is back folks.

I know it's early, but we're shaping up to feel the losses of CJGJ and Slay if a lackluster Brown and Ringo are what we ended up rolling with. Curious to see how they look in live game action in a preseason game or two.

Absolute best part of the Fangio interview was when a Beat said Cam said the defense was 100% installed. Fangio asks, Cam Jurgens, our center? Gets a twinkle in his eye and says not 100%, we still have some plays for him.

I like when he was asked about signing Adoree Jackson and said he hadn't watched film on him, and if Howie wants to sign a guy he doesn't give a damn what I (Vic) thinks.
