Yeah, lol I love the guy. I seriously don't get why Howie wouldn't ask Vic for his thoughts especially after Huff last year. Now, if it was something like Alexander being cut and Vic was on a beach and there wasn't time, cool. This makes me wonder if he ran the CJ thing by him as well.

He sure sent a message to Jackson to step up, though.

Has vic liked any free agent at all?? He is a grumpy old school DC. No wonder prima donnas didnt want to play for him

Impossibly to know jacksons personality fit or if he is willing to play the run

Demetress Bell?

Oh man! Not even close. Winston Justice, Ed George, Kevin Allen, Bernard Williams. A real murderers row of ineptitude.

Bell could at least tie his own shoes.

Good idea though.

Normal fan access has been all but eliminated, but somehow this kind of person gets special treatment. Pretty sure this is who the Eagles social media team thinks the fan base is made up of.

He likes the rookie Mac. Not sure what he sees but it was night and day vs Jackson.

Vic is gonna Vic because he is not afraid of wearing out his welcome. Hes not gonna change his ways and get more PC in his PCs. He knows that when the eagles are done with him, hes just gonna retire. He doesnt need to hold on to this job and he doesnt need to save face for a next job. This is it.

He hasnt pulled punches about practice structure and reps. He even threw a very subtle jab again this year already alluding to having enough time to see who separates themselves in practice. As if to say, there may be too small a sample size to bring these position battles to a conclusion definitively. Thats going after the HC.

Now, he is jabbing the GM.

We appreciate his transparency about players. But these are the kinds of powerplays that get a guy fired eventually. A coordinator can not constantly be undermining his superiors.

Then again, there is a possibility that if taken at face value his words are actually humble- as if to admit he has no say. Player acquisition is up to the GM and Vic just coaches and Howie doesnt need to ask him. Maybe he just didnt deliver his message in the best way.

She’s some weird social media "influencer”. Puts out lazy content and gets a ton of likes and engagement for some odd reason. She does a gritty worse than Gesicki

Surely possible. There seems to be a few bottom of the depth chart WRs they like. Who they keep at 4, 5 and maybe 6 and who makes the PS seems to be one of the most unknowns at the moment.

Agreed. You can’t teach speed.

The point is PEDs.

That went over my head. I don’t think about PEDs as a rule. But that is on me.

Baun

IF...I were an Eagles fan my vote for for the greatest Eagle of all-time would be Dawkins. The guy was amazing to watch. 13 out of 16 years spent with the team that drafted him. That carries more weight for me than the Minister of Defense spending just one more year with the Eagles than he did elsewhere (8 in PHI, 7 GB & CAR). Dawkins played so much bigger than he actually was physically (6'0 210lbs)...he was a beast and looked more like he was 230lbs.

This girl represents the Eagles fanbase to a T. Props to the Eagles social media team for hitting it out of the park again. They get us, 100%.

I am not convinced that every personnel move is cleared with the coaches. There was a hole at back up CB and Howie filled it. Not Vic’s role to scout talent, that falls to Howie’s staff. So Vic, a defensive coach not having watched a lot of film on a defensive player isn’t that surprising.

He liked Baun. I read it as a positive take on Jackson. He's saying that he has talent and he can play at a high level. He's going to get an opportunity here to show the League what kind of talent he has.

I mean really what if I actually picked the wrong room just because I didn't see the third beautiful woman that I have no chance to ever be in a room with. Also, I am choosing Room 3.

Room 2 has Ana de Armas. You dont really need anyone else so any other answer is wrong.

Nice, but more variety needed. They all are varying shades of Elmer's glue Throw in some curry, a little paella, some dark chocolate pad thai, know what I mean?

I think you are reading too much into it. First, the Eagles knew what they were getting when they brought him in as DC. He'd been around them as a consultant in 2022. And, I'm certain he pulled no punches then either. He is who he is, and he's not going to apologize for it. He's going to tell you what he's honestly thinking, and its up to you to deal with it. I find it refreshing and welcome it. Howie should have no issue with it either. Howie's job is secure. But, getting honest feedback from underlings is something that helps folks on top stay sharp and on top of their game. When you get surrounded by yes men, you cease to have the same vision as before, as now everyone just tries to figure out what you want to hear and give you that information. That leads to a limited field of vision organizationally. Now, it could be argued that Vic should keep some of this out of the press. But, he's forced by league rules to speak to the media, and for me, as long as what he says to the media is exactly what he's already said in private, there's no issue. The issue only comes when he says one thing privately and then says something different publicly. And that's just not who Vic is.

So, for me, he gets to stick around here as the DC as long as he wishes or until his skills deteriorate, and it shouldn't be based on his personality or candor. His personality and candor, frankly, are what drove this defense to the heights that they reached last year. Taking that away from him is like asking Kyle Schwarber to lay down a bunt.

For people craving autocracy, absolutely. Of course, autocracy looks good until it no longer likes you. God's children experience that every day. Nothing like a good ol prison camps filled with people who look or think alike to brighten the spirits of autocrats. It's their childhood swimming hole on a hot summer day.
