Man the Dolphins have CBs dropping. The cowpads have had injuries to Steele (short time back injury) and Guyton (probably going to sideline him a while), so both OTs and to the guy likely to be their backup G. Likely with a broken foot for the Ravens hurts their O a bit. And 49ers Tarron Jackson on IR assures he won’t be on the Eagles PS this year.

They traded a CB to a team with a surplus too lol

Oh for Fs sake, because of how Fangio responded to a dumb question. Really watch his press conferences. His answers are really all "F You Bozos, you ask such dumb questions that I am not going to answer”. May be my favorite coach giving a presser since Belichek retired from the NFL.

It sounded to me like he's saying it's now or never for Adoree. He made it sound like that was Howie's pick and he had no say and not one of his guys at all kind of like Huff. I'd also imagine Greg Newsome II eventually gets released so if Fangio is actually unhappy with Adoree that could be another option to look at.

Nice, but more variety needed. They all are varying shades of Elmer's glue Throw in some curry, a little paella, some dark chocolate pad thai, know what I mean?

Column 2 for me. The most important trait can't be measured by a picture though. How promiscuous are they? 😜

Does Asante Samuel Jr not deserve a prove it contract? He struggles against the run and tackling I get it but man someone has to throw the kid a bone (this of course unless he’s still waiting on starter money)

Dak Prescott is 20-43 alltime vs teams with a winning record

Jalen Hurts is 27-14

The difference in having a more rounded, well run organization…and the ability to execute under pressure.

I agree Diggs was mainly bad luck -- there was a thought he got overpaid by gambling for INTs, but he's a solid corner and $19.4mm AAV is fine. They could move off that contract with no incremental cap cost if they wanted to, but guessing they let him rehab as he has no more guarantees after $9mm this year. He's only a $6mm dead cap hit in 2026 and the savings would be $12.5mm.

The Terrence Steel contract is indefensible, but again, this is the last year of guarantees so he can be gone after the year with a dead cap hit of less than $10mm (creates 2026 savings of $8.75mm).

But then...there's Dak and Ceedee. Moving off Dak next offseason is $90mm in dead money if traded. Releasing him is $130mm. Ceedee likely stays, but it's $43mm of dead cap to trade him if they wanted to.

Basically, they were in a position to reset...and then signed Dak and Ceedee and forced themselves to stay committed to being mediocre.

I really don’t have an issue with Lamb’s deal, if not for the Dak Prescott contract it’s not as limiting. He’s a top 5 wr, they didn’t get a deal as good as the Eagles got with Brown but it’s not a horrible contract. You just cannot pay three players top three positional money and build a well rounded roster.

DAL screwed up with three contracts most recently imo, those mistakes are what is holding them back from committing the $ Parsons deserves to be paid. Dak is the biggest mistake of the 3 for obvious reasons, followed by Steele, and lastly Trevon Diggs. I try not to fault them too much on the Diggs contract, they tried to get out in front and lock him up early, which they did and at a decent avg salary of $19m (tied for 9th in CB salaries)...then came the injuries.

Diggs has missed all but two games in '23, missed 6 games in '24, and will miss at least 6 games this year. He is under contract through '28 and IF he can comeback and play at the level he was at before the injuries, it isn't a horrible contract. The problem is I don't think he will ever be the CB he was in '21, that was an outlier of a year for him and he got paid because of it.

Bottom line, DAL pays guys when they shouldn't, or pays them too much, and doesn't pay the right guys when they should. It's beyond frustrating.

Diggs didn’t have a step to lose. They signed him to a CB1 contract and he’s at best probably a CB2 now. Jerruh got enamored with the turnovers and refused to see the blown coverages.

Hurts excels in the most important games, Dak doesn't. Dak has had very good talent around him for years. 2021-23 double digit wins in regular season. Dak craps the bed when it matters most. That's the main difference between he and Hurts, not the talent around them.

Well, he's from Texas. Driving a "cowboy Cadillac" (and they can cost as much or more than a Cadillac) doesn't seem remarkable.

The number of 100k plus trucks in Texas is absurd. I will not buy a new vehicle ever again. I wait for vehicles coming off a three year lease when I am in the market, which as I get older is rare.

I bought a 2017 GMC Sierra Denali with 31k miles on it in ‘21 for less than half of what they’re selling for now. Still a low mileage (I work from home since Covid) truck that I will likely keep until I retire or longer.

I don’t disagree, that’s why I referenced executing under pressure. The other impact that I was alluding to is just the circus that is consistently around the organization. It produces more drama than necessary and takes away from just playing football and focusing on winning games.

I love how people are making roster decisions two days into pads.

This is a really young team on defense, Fangio is going to let it play out, but notice the emphasis on teaching technique, what really matters is how players improve over the next few weeks, not where they are right now.

For young players, the first few days of pads is translating film room, coaching and walk throughs into actual game like conditions.

So if a player struggles at first, don't panic, that's normal for rookies and second year players. If they struggle 3 weeks from now, the Turk is coming.

Same on the OL, Stout is looking at which young backups have a high enough upside to graduate from Stoutland U.

I can't understand how people think that's a smart affordable decision. I know some lenders are offering up to 10 years of financing but it's crazy. Moreover, most of them are never going to haul anything more than a few sheets of plywood.

Who will be the ST demons this year besides Trotter?

McCollum and McWilliams. Mondon. Possibly APR. Uche is a real possibility. Battle between those last two and Ojulari probably comes down to ST play. The 4 & 5 WRs need to play STs. Same with the #3 RB. And FB if BVS makes it. If they keep a third TE, he better play STs. ST play may be the most important piece of PS games.

PHI has been doing it right for several years running and it’s really starting to pay off for the fans, and hey, you all deserve it.

I would love for my team to do something meaningful, but I won’t begrudge a fan base just because they are a rival team. Kudos to the PHI organization for getting it right

I think the neck issue is scaring teams off. He was supposed to have a check up on his surgery in July and then make a decision but with there being no news at all, seems like it's not just money.

He's not going to find starter money this late either.

So I can count on you this year as I struggle with my mental health from the first week of Sept through late December right? Right?😂 Y’all may need to do some welfare checks on me.

Issue I have is I would buy a beater like we had when I was young but all the beaters go to Mexico and south now. Because of the stupid ways the mileage rules are governed, there is no such thing like the step side Silverado or the F100 of my youth.

I see no reason to think Cine is making this team. And I doubt they carry 4 RBs on the active roster.

I don’t disagree with you. Who of the four RBs gets cut? What two players replace Cine and the 4th RB?

Lane is better looking than you, probably.
