Does it need to be crumbling to have a new one?

Teams talk about how loud the Linc is nowadays. That's an old idea from before they renovated. It didn't used to be loud. It is now.

Micah is definitely not coming here, so the next best thing is hopefully watching him rip that team apart

He's not the one ripping that team apart. That's Jerruh.

Broncos have Surtain, Riley Moss, and spent a 1st round pick on pick on a CB in Barron.

Does that make either Kris Abrams-Draine or Ja’Quan McMillian available. They both played pretty well last year in spots.

Uh...guys? Maybe not the time?

Is Dallas and Washington having a contest who can both piss off and raise the value of a marquee player the most?

I'm worried. Bad games becoming a habit. Obviously, we should weigh TC practice similar to performances in the SB.

Though to be fair, Hurts didn't face the Eagle defense in the SBs.

Trade him to Dallas for Parsons and start Tanner.

I highly doubt they trade him, and I don't think we can afford him, but...you have to call at least.

To troll Jerry, right?

Schultz getting the leaks from Micah's camps. I still think it ends up with him staying in Dallas, but the chances of him holding out into the season are going up now. Or at the very least not being ready for week 1.

Not playing week one and having the eagles drop 60 on their trash defense feels like the play/outcome his agent is going for loll

Not if Jeff is going to fund it privately, but if he's looking for a government handout, then yes.

Wouldn't want Parsons anyway for what it would cost.. which means both picks and contract. I like what the Eagles have going on. Building organically through the draft. They have everything worked out so they can pay everyone. Keep drafting well and making smart signings when you can(sans Huff). That's the winning formula. They can keep this thing going for a while if they keep drafting well.

Yep. Whatever the Eagles have going on, I don't wan to mess it up. We're in the middle of a special era for the Eagles and so much of that has to do with the way Howie is working a master class in team construction. If Parsos is the generational talent he's touted then I think the Cowboys would be better because of it. He's a terrific player no doubt, but I can't recall any games he's had such a big impact on where you can say the Cowboys lose if it weren't for Parsons. Maybe there have been some, but I just don't see him as being a player you sell the farm for and mess up the cap to bring in. Keep this team together.

I mean, this isn't always true (Reddick).....but, the Eagles generally as a rule of thumb identify core talent and extend prior to the contract expiring. Yes, the contract is usually below eventual market value (benefits the Eagles) but gives the players money sooner rather than later and security. They are generally right waaaaaay more than wrong in doing this.

Has Jones ever made a big in division trade? I seriously doubt any GM would trade a talent like Parsons to a division rival, but Jerry in particular seems like a stubborn SOB who would rather have Parsons sit out/walk than cave and grant him a trade to a rival.

If Jerruh were to allow Parsons to walk as a free agent what's to prevent Parsons signing with a division rival and having to face a motivated Parsons twice a year? If Jerrah chooses to not sign him, it would be far wiser to make sure Parsons goes to an AFC team. But then again Jerruh doesn't always seem to make the wisest choices.

Even with Reddick it was very tame and hardly any of it made it out into the public when he was with the Eagles. It didn't really blow up until he went to the Jets and then you saw how much worse it got. Sure, there's been contract disputes, but they handle them like adults and talk it out.

I just rewatched Jhoan Duran's debut with the Phillies.

His entrance into the game was like nothing else I've ever witnessed before. And then... he mowed them down with just 4 pitches. Obviously every night won't be like that, but that was amazing to witness. I wish they'd have found a way to add that right handed bat to extend the lineup, but the move to add Duran is a great one. The guy is also only 27, and under team control for a bit more... so giving up Tait doesn't even hurt for me. Tait is still in single-A, and only 19 years old. He's a long way from the big leagues and even further from being a transformative piece for this franchise. The price was worth getting a legit closer and putting Kerkering and Strahm into their rightful places in the bullpen as setup guys. The shame of all this is that if they had Alvarado available for the playoffs, I'd feel really good about the bullpen going into the playoffs. As it is, the Phillies' starters need to get deep into the game... going a full 6 innings, minimum in the playoffs.

Bader is a good player, and he is an upgrade. And Kruk mentioned the platoon situations in 1993... Duncan and Morandini at 2B, Thompson and Incaviglia in LF, and Chamberlain and Eisenreich in RF. The platoon situation going forward with this team might actually be a really nice way to go moving forward. Sosa needs to get some chances at the plate, he just seems to have that clutch gene. And since Stott isn't really cutting it right now, those two splitting time at 2B might work really well. Kemp and Kepler in LF and now Bader and Marsh in CF. Personally, I could see them moving away from the platoon in CF and moving to the platoon in LF with Marsh and Kemp. Marsh seems like a much more natural corner outfielder than CF anyway.

WA has to promote and celebrate McLaurin at #52. Imagine if it's crickets from them. They'd get roasted for not appreciating him. And, he's still under contract...

As for the new stadium, the simple answer is money. When the cowpokes opened their new stadium, their revenue increased by over 70%... And doubled their revenue over the first 5 years. Why? Luxury/Executive suites, which is revenue not shared with the rest of the NFL. If you were a businessman, you would be stupid to not do it. And this is just considering the football side of it.

In 2026 WA currently sits at $62 million+ in cap space. Rams with close to $74 million. To the Rams in a trade or FA would be a scary DL in LA. Don't think they can trade for picks for Micah this year as they are likely going to have to try and trade up in the 2026 draft to get a QB.

Except the Eagles did trade the Parsons pick to Jerruh so technically……….

I think they should call up Crawford now and see if he can play. Go with Crawford in CF, and platoon Bader and Marsh in left. If they don't like what they see from Crawford they can go Bader in center and Marsh in left for the playoffs. Keep Kepler as bat off the bench with some pop. I am 100% done with the Rohas experiment and he can get sent to a beer league somewhere as far as I'm concerned.

That’s already happening behind the scenes I’m sure. The locker room is or will soon be in shambles with all this bs. Because of the front office it’s a no win situation at this point extension or not.

Good thing that Jerruh got a firebrand HC to hold the team together.

I’m definitely not a fan of Jerry Jones. They’ll never win with him around. But Parsons seems like a diva to me, too. We just won a Super Bowl without him. We can win another one without him. I’d never want to mortgage our future on this guy.

We have 6 studs still on a rookie contract. Mitchell, Cooper, Smith, Hunt, Carter, and Campbell. 7 if you want to add Davis. They’ll need to be paid, eventually.

He's under control through the 2027 season. Giving up Tait is a bummer but overall I thought it was a fantastic move to get a legit closer. Not nearly as splashy as Preller's moves but also not nearly as costly either. You could make a strong argument it was the best deadline trade made by any team.

They also don’t dick around. Devin White was unhappy. He was let go. Bryce Huff was unhappy. Traded.

What a trailblazing, innovative concept they created. Reward the players that want to be here and move on from those that don’t.

Yes, Howie will have to make some tough decisions and will have to make some trades. The way he "wins" these upcoming scenarios is to make statements that make it clear that he wants to pay them all but can't so he trades a guy he loves and they get their chance to make the money they deserve. He makes it clear he traded them so they cash in on their chance to get paid. He does that and he continues his run as the best GM. If they devolve into McLaurin territory he'll take some hits.
