Maybe name the exit tunnel after Hurts, like Utley's Corner at the new Shea Stadium.

Because they sign their guys early AND give them significant bonuses and guarantees. Our players trade maximum value for surety. That makes them happy.

Wonder if we can continue to do so with Lurie being cash strapped?

Signing guys early to take the risk off players and shifting it to the organization for better value started with Banner. I honestly believe it’s a big reason why we have been so successful since the turn of the century. Not to take anything away from Andy, he’s in the conversation when you talk all time greatest coaches, but every coach since then has had a winning record.

Chip - not the greatest but managed two 10-6 records before it all imploded.

Doug - Super Bowl

Nick - Super Bowl

Not playing week one and having the eagles drop 60 on their trash defense feels like the play/outcome his agent is going for loll

Didn't that work with Chris Jones in KC? Jones didn't play the first few games his absence was noticed. I don't remember when, couple years ago?

If Jerruh were to allow Parsons to walk as a free agent what's to prevent Parsons signing with a division rival and having to face a motivated Parsons twice a year? If Jerrah chooses to not sign him, it would be far wiser to make sure Parsons goes to an AFC team. But then again Jerruh doesn't always seem to make the wisest choices.

Dallas has control of his rights for 3 more seasons

Sounds about right. The scenario you describe takes me back to Emmitt Smiths holdout. Jerry didn’t budge until they started losing.

I wasn't sure how that worked. Given Dallas' recent personnel management. I imagine Parson will be back at top $$$$$.

Any concern about Jurgens not being able to go week 1? He's still not doing many snaps yet and the season starts in a month.

I am simply because the success rate for back surgery is not that great compared to other surgical procedures. They never provided details, so it’s hard to know for sure.

But based on personal experience, I had a defective valve repaired in my heart. Succcess rate is 98%. I feel like a brand new human being.

I also need back surgery for a herniated disc. Success rate is only 60%.

That’s a big difference….

Yep. Banner found a loophole with offering contracts after the second year they had to create a rule to stop it. Howie likewise learned to find loopholes or the slightest of margins and exploit them also.

  1. He also did the power move of showing up to watch the Week 1 game in a suite.

Same with Belichick. Though his were more ethically questionable lol

Nice that he's being recognized as an Eagles' great. He was really good when he left here, but he was never what he was elsewhere what he was here. Same goes for Reggie.

Started that year 0-2, IIRC. Which is why I will continue to say that Troy Aikman made the HOF on the backs of his OL and Emmitt Smith. He was good and he was more than a passenger, but he wasn't the straw that stirred the drink for them. He benefitted greatly from short games and play action passes.

This week Tyree Jackson, Parris Campbell and now Quez Watkins have gone on the IR.

Long overdue for Allen IMO

Teams talk about how loud the Linc is nowadays. That's an old idea from before they renovated. It didn't used to be loud. It is now.

My football team will hopefully move to a new ground at some point, and part of the design is to make certain sections of the ground as noisy as possible using angled roofs to make the ground as an intimidating as possible. I'd assume the Bills new ground has been designed with that in mind, and the Linc should do the same thing when the renos happen. You don't want to be the Falcons

No doubt. I wasn't going to rehash the long wait.

Nate Herbig retired too

It is just so fascinating how on brand everyone in the locker room is. They are 1,000% bought in, and it shows. To me, this is beyond a team. Its a culture that takes years to build and helps everyone around them get better.

The patriots had something similar, but far more robotic. The Eagles feels alive.

What an idiot

I think that’s well below his floor actually

This is a bit off topic but a documentary is out with Tom Brady visiting the football team he's a part owner of. His disdain for Wayne Rooney is evident - its like Shrek meeting the GOAT

End of an era. Think he will sign a 1 day contract to retire as an eagle?

I mean, obviously the OL and run game is what made that team great. But I think Aikman almost gets underrated because of it. He was an exceptionally accurate passer, had a big arm, and played within the offense. In that sense, there are some similarities with Hurts.
