This was the original tweet. It was one bad snap, which shouldn't be concerning for a rookie. However, Toth has been bad-snapping for a few seasons. So one more would reenforce the point of view - assuming it had been Toth in this case.

Not sure why they waste plays on Brett Toth at C. Drew Kendall is clearly C2. Let him get as many reps as he needs.

I think that’s well below his floor actually

He’s the 2nd highest paid DT. Carter very likely gets more in the end but I’m not for sure he clears Chris Jones just yet.

You’re missing the context. BLG was wrong. Toth didn’t play any center that day, it was Kendall.

I'm just seeing this as I go through the pages. I don't know why they are wasting snaps on Drew Kendall when clearly, Brett Toth gives them the best look in practice. 🤣

If he has another season like last season, and the high snap total again, he’s going to have a massive impact. Yes I can see him being higher than Chris Jones… They paid Chris Jones at his ceiling… They won’t be paying Jalen Carter at his.

This is a bit off topic but a documentary is out with Tom Brady visiting the football team he's a part owner of. His disdain for Wayne Rooney is evident - its like Shrek meeting the GOAT

Ronaldo carried the ManU teams when they were actually winning. Rooney was one of those teen prodigies that soccer develops, and because of playing for United and being a good (but not great in my view) player was quite overrated.

Now Rooney is in a position where he can’t mask his short comings. If Brady wants someone with a work ethic he can relate to, Ronaldo is the guy, not

The Raiders?

I’m guessing he’s also owner, or part owner, of a soccer team. 🤷

I mean, obviously the OL and run game is what made that team great. But I think Aikman almost gets underrated because of it. He was an exceptionally accurate passer, had a big arm, and played within the offense. In that sense, there are some similarities with Hurts.

Out of curiosity, what was the record when Dallas had Aikman, but not Smith? I'd say rather terrible. And the Cowboys record with Smith without Aikman was really good. A quick google search said they were 0-3 with Aikman without Smith (I assume they were only considering games when both were on the roster, since Aikman didn't win a game as a rookie before Smith was drafted... 0-11). Meanwhile, they were 10-5 with Smith without Aikman. Underrated? No.

My guy said football. That confused me.

Yup. Aikman was great. I think it’s silly that that is even up for debate.

Yes, I would still say underrated. The entire team was built around the run game, from the OL to Smith, even the other skill players at FB, TE and WR fit a mold to the run game.

And 3 games? Hardly a sample size to tell you anything. How much of that was just the distraction? How much was it about the coaches not adjusting?

Too many variables. Aikman was a great QB. I’m not sure how anyone could watch him play and think otherwise.

It's a bit like saying Hurts is a caretaker. Well, yeah, so was Montana.

That is, where a Favre or Allen can carry a team with physical talent, guys like Hurts simply make key plays at key moments and don't make many mistakes.

It's not as flashy as say Lamar Jackson, but:

"Just Win Baby!"

They both had two legs, two arms, and one head. I guess there’s no argument.

Both first names start with a J. Practically twins.

I'm not sure I've seen a recent Bengals game with the backups in. Do they have much depth?

Not just 3 games, only 3 when they were together, but 14 overall. And the Cowboys lost all of them with Aikman, but without Smith. Every single one. That's pretty hard to do in the NFL. I still say that Aikman was 100% overrated.

I love that you’re dismissing a rookie for a guy in season seven who, as the backup center, couldn’t take a snap in an important game. We played a hurt Jurgens and a hurt Dickerson at center rather than let him take a snap. Toth gives us nothing and never has. Kendall just needs to be coached up. Center is probably the last position you can throw a guy into with no experience. Toth is just a place holder. He knows the plays so that the rest of the team can work on execution but if plays in a real game we’re in a world of hurt.

They don’t have much surface

I'll never understand the Gillie thing. I still don't really know what he does, why he was even relevant to begin with or if he just got relevant for doing stuff during Eagles tailgates? Like at eventually he was being shown in the locker room in postgames and they would keep dancing to this one song so I figured he must be a musician and that is his song but it turned out that wasn't even his song. I have no idea.

This confuses me even more though. How is he somehow able draw an angry reaction from Johnny Manziel over a Gillie comment about Cam Newton?

Started that year 0-2, IIRC. Which is why I will continue to say that Troy Aikman made the HOF on the backs of his OL and Emmitt Smith. He was good and he was more than a passenger, but he wasn't the straw that stirred the drink for them. He benefitted greatly from short games and play action passes.

There is an old Texas saying that Dallas is the end of The South, and Fort Worth is the beginning of the West.” Emmitt and Troy were both affected big time by the fact that they played for a team from The South.

I have some replay broadcasting on NFL Network on right now of Mike McDaniels talking at the Dolphins training camp. He always seems like he's high when he talks to media like this. Not in a good way either.

If we repeat, Jalen wins MVP and Patullo gets a HC job then I see us signed McDaniels as our next OC.

He's annoying af. And he really only became a thing bc of CJGJ. but he's one of ours, so I'll tolerate him for now.

Pretty sure he's on the spectrum. And no thanks on him as our OC.
