Hard to complain about much regarding Howie, but Dejean still being the number one PR is flat out dumb.

Still time to make something happen there, so they need to.

Better than Brent Celek, I guess. Hard to make any judgment on one snap.

Couldn’t tell on the spiral how the laces were delivered but didn’t look bad. Holder was DeJean.

Look at the source, the same idiots at PE.com that bring us stupid tweets instead of even the first 30 minutes of practice.

Mailata, DeJean, and Mitchell in the books.

Carter, Baun, Brown, Johnson, Hurts, and Barkley on the way.

DeVonta, Goedert, Dickerson, and Jurgens are all fringe top-100, IMO. That's 9 out of 11 starters on offense.

You think Hurts makes it?

I'd put money he does

Hoping NFL+ considers me out of market on Thursday because NBC will be broadcasting the Ravens game and not on Fox or CBS.

I would think we should still get it on the local channel. Forget which one, but it should be on.

I still wish Ringo would get a little look see at Safety.

Vic says himself he's a good tackler, good special teamer. He's got speed, size, he's just not great yet at running down the field with WR and his back to the ball.

However he seems to excel facing coverage and exploding/reacting. All of his traits seem to suggest he may be a pretty good fit at safety. Not sure when or if it will ever happen though. Can't see how it would hurt giving him some plays there especially with Dru out right now. No one from the media asks it either.

I like it

Looks like beats around the NFL on a whole aren't that great. I kept waiting for a 2nd rep to see Rashee Rice. Nope, this guy just has no idea who he's watching. I wonder what the process is to become a beat writer in the NFL.

I'm not talking about danger. I'm talking about recognizability. Tarantulas are the most recognizable spider. So to call someone that as a nickname then show a video of another spider is silly. Like calling him The Cobra then showing any other snake. Or The Clydesdale and showing any other horse. Or The Hammerhead Shark and showing any other shark. If you want other examples.

I don't really care. It's just kinda dumb by the Phillies imo. Show a tarantula if that's what you're going for.

Some stuff today from PHLY:

-Ainias Smith looking better and faster this year. Looks more confident.

-Cooks is outplaying Wilson pretty handily as a receiver, but doesn't mean he has the edge because Wilson is younger with conceivably more upside, and a better blocker.

-None of the backup OL really standing out all that much, some concern there, but Lamm has looked the best and Hinton has outplayed Williams. Williams has not looked like that raw athlete he was billed as when drafted. He doesn't look very good(probably why he went late).

-Ricks hasn't been as good as a lot of beats have been saying. He's flashed some plays, but has been up and down.

-Uche really impressing as of late. Clearly outplaying Ojulari, and Okoronkwo has as well. (My note: highly doubt Ojulari gets cut, as he got paid more than Uche and has real NFL production in his history).

-Cam Robinson has owned Vakalahi, just has been embarrassing him. No idea why they keep matching them up together.

-Gabe Hall having a good camp.

-All agree Avery Williams is highly unlikely to make the team.

-All feel that Kenyon Green probably won't make the team even though he's listed as 2nd team LG (or even practice squad) he hasn't looked good.

I think he deserves it but I also think a lot of people around the league think the talent around him props him up more than he boosts them.

Training camp in Day 9 and the same bozos that brought us the unofficial depth chart give you this in depth video from TC

Fangio on Uche and Olujari (basically schooling the Beats)

He was #3 and #15 the last two years. I see no reason he wouldn't be on there.

There has to be someone available right now who can at least be an average and reliable PR. Putting Dejean back there full time would be irresponsible.

Best case scenario would be Ainias Smith or Shipley taking that job over. I really don't want to see them using a roster spot solely for a returner and not on someone who can give you something else too. Too many good players with potential here to let slip.

I’d trade two firsts and a second for Parsons. We’d have better odds than the field to win the SB for the next 2 years.

Especially since those two firsts will be in the 30s and the second in the 60s.

Pretty easy to answer. Trial by fire. With coaching and effort they expect him to improve. Kelce had him aside today. You don't learn as much beating people up as you do when you're the loser. Also coaches learn more about a player when he faces adversity than when he doesn't.

I think one of the most overlooked issues in society is this enormous increase in anxiety. Over the last 20 years, children and teens have seen anxiety diagnosis increase by over 70 % while adults have seen it nearly double.

I wonder to what extent those suffering from anxiety would improve if they "pulled the plug" on their social media accounts, or at least reduced their consumption substantially.

Oh for Fs sake like this will attract sports viewers

I'm pretty sure ESPN isn't trying to attract the EMB crowd with this hire.

If they were they'd have her in a bikini and maybe some photo shop work.
