I hope he wins it. He goes on a Ryan Howard type August and September finish he definitely van. But Ohtani pitching again is going to make it tougher.

I guess Eagles like their DT depth. I liked Booker. Oh well. Know little about Bennett.

Big fan of Booker since his draft year. Was happy to have him on the team. Happy to have him as depth.

Hope he gets a chance to shine in LA.

This trade befuddles me. The only way it makes sense is if we are about to get bad injury news about Mac McWilliams because supposedly he was balling in camp so I dont see the need for another nickel CB otherwise.

I like the trade, they probably don’t lose much from Booker to Hall. But it is a little disconcerting no one has run away with the CB job. Perhaps they should have just kept Slay. Hope they don’t end up regretting letting him go.

Slay is old. I'd be shocked if he doesn't decline this season. They really did need that 10 mil for future re-signings. But yeah CB is a big ? right now. Let's see what Bennett has

Trade certainly gives us some depth ant CB and if Ringo doesn’t win the job he becomes Full time gunner on special teams I’d assume.

Cam Robinson coming along as well as hoped and Gabe Hall almost assuredly makes the roster now. Guessing they want more depth at CB in case.

Do you mean Ty Robinson? I saw Cam a few times but no idea who that is.

Oh interesting. I read he was a nickel CB. Apparently this is CB2 competition then.

'Ringo and Jackson and Bennett and Ricks...

Which one of these CB2s will stick?

The preseason is here and they're chasing 3 rings.

These are a few of my favorite things...'

Or just keep Rodgers

It’s a good deal for us. Bennett is better than Ringo and Jackson. Booker is a decent player, but Eagles have some depth on the DL.

I think they expected Ringo to step right in, but now they have some doubts. So that’s why they went ahead with this trade.

Rodgers got 8mil, right?

Im slightly disappointed they couldnt just trade Ringo for Bennett since Carroll likes the length. Ringo would fit his requirements. Only because 1. I loved Booker. and 2. Eagles admitting Ringo disappointed them hurts his trade value. Best time to trade him would have been in this deal. Now his value is instantly less than we all hoped it would be.

Oh well. Hopefully Bennett balls. According to that one tweet he is already one of the best CBs in the league.

Guaranteed was $8M. Total deal was 2 years $11M

Either they liked Bennett a lot or they didn't think Booker was making the team and just got competition

I think they wanted to give Ringo a shot first. But maybe that was a mistake. I do think Bennett is similar to Rodgers.

Has a chance to stick but despite his speed, I like Ricks’ instincts better. Bodes well for Gabe Hall and suggests Robinson is impressing.

I think Bennett ends up winning CB2

I keep calling him Cam for some reason because they both went to Nebraska

I never understood the fascination with Rodgers. He was okay but I certainly wouldn't want him as the Slay replacement. Anytime he would come into the game for Slay, teams would immediately target him and with success.

I want Ringo to take CB2 and run away with it but it's not happening. No matter who wins CB2, they have some trade assets with their depth. Ringo and Ricks both have value. Wonder if one could be dangled for some TE or WR depth. Maybe some youth at edge.

I think a lot of it stems from how much Rodgers loved being here. From day 1, even though he was suspended, he embraced being an Eagle. He loved it here. He played with a bit of the CJGJ swagger too. He's a good player that we fans probably overrate.

Fran Duffy is underwhelmed by the trade. Thinks Bennett is C4/5. Called him a smaller Ringo.

I don't think you trade a quality player like Booker for a dart throw CB4. And sometimes it seems Fran holds onto his college scouting reports for dear life.
