I forgot how long pre-season games are. The commercial breaks have been very short, and yet, here we are over 3 hours later.

Thompson-Robinson is looking fine as a backup QB. Certainly not booty cheeks like some seem to think he is.

Im sure most wont be comfortable trading McKee, but DTR looks the part.

I more so want to trade McKee just to do that guy a favor because he deserves to be starting somewhere.

Maybe you find a buyer for him, keep McKee this year and fleece a team next year all while McCord develops as the 3 this year.

Nope nope nope nope.

McKee >>> DTR. It's not even close. DTR looks like a marginal backup QB. McKee looks like a guy who could/should start in the NFL. Which would you rather have if Hurts goes down and misses the playoffs? McKee is going NOWHERE for 2025. Maybe in a year things look different if DTR grows more or McCord makes a leap, but for 2025, McKee is a lock on this team.

Our 2nd string walked their starting defense.

Gonna be another wasted season for Burrow. I am so glad I was not raised a Bengals fan.

I mean I would like to trade McKee just to do him a favor as HE should be a starter in this league.

Im perfectly fine with DTR as our backup.

McKee could win a Super Bowl with this team, DTR could not. You keep McKee 100 times out of 100.

I certainly agree that McKee is much better. I think DTR may be better than a "marginal" backup. I think he looks like a "good" backup. So Im ok with that. Id like to see McKee get his chance.

I dont really care who Id rather have. Im just more interested in seeing McKee get his shot sooner than later.

Has Ojulari played at all?

Might be a rather surprising cut in a few weeks

I think Howie will leave this game more concerned about Edge than CB, and that's if he's concerned about either. Which I doubt.

I am so glad that you aren't the GM. You don't trade a piece like McKee to do him a favor and potentially hamstring your team. Only for a king's ransom is it even conceivable to consider trading him. What you are suggesting is akin to trading Nick Foles prior to the 2017 season, because you liked the way Nate Sudfeld performed in the preseason. Just ludicrous. We saw what DTR did in real games with the Browns. It was horrific. For his career he has 1 TD against 10 INTs. (1 TD and 4 INTs as a rookie, 0 TDs and 6 INTs in his second year.) In what world are you fine with that as a backup QB for a team looking to win a Super Bowl?

I agree. Only way he isn't an Eagle is if a trade offer is out of this world. After the season, his is likely on the block.

His performance in REAL NFL games would question whether or not he is EVEN a marginal backup.

Who cares. He’s 6 yards shy from matching Rodger’s first 3 years in the league. If he’s starter material in the nfl it will happen.

he was a decent looking prospect who looks pretty good finally playing for an NFL team. But, he has looked good in pre-season before with his crap team so point taken.

Still, I want to see McKee get his shot.

I am impatient.

Remember guys....IT TAKES ALL OF US.

Honestly, wtf does that even mean in 2025. Time to scrap the endzone words.

Clearly it’s the motto of the tush push. Duh.

the top 3 RBs tonight all average over 5 yards, with Shipley being over 6.

Im disappointed not to see Montrell Johnson though. I think he is better than Powell even though Powell had a nice night (but that fumble).

Allegedly…

Very disappointing so far. Figured he was on a crappy Giants team and he's now past the injuries. Most reports were he seemed to lose some juice after the injuries, so far that's holding true. Again, very disappointing. Really thought he could've been a big steal.

I think part of that needs to be credited to the Eagles OL depth and when he's heatlhy will be given a long look. In past years when depth wasn't great it was so hard to get a read on guys. Really the last RB to look good in the preseason was Raheem Mostert.

that McCord INT was weird. Jenkins didnt seem to see the ball coming and never tried to catch it. The play before it, Kielan Robinson dropped a pass. His 1/5 and an INT stat line looked worse than his play was. Hope he can have a better showing next week.

a little of that and a little of playing the Bengals D.

He'll get his shot. In the meantime, he can stay here and get more hardware for his jewelry collection. He seems like a great guy, and I sure hope that SOMEDAY he gets a shot. And he will... one way or another, a team will take a shot on him. The only question is whether or not that shot comes in 2026... because he's not leaving for 2025. They might flip him for picks in 2026, or he may walk as a free agent and we get a 3rd round compensatory pick for him... which would be a shame. But, if we keep him for the next two years and don't do anything with him but he comes in and wins the team games when called upon, its worth not flipping him for picks. We have two years in a row with this core poised to win a Super Bowl... let him bide his time here as our insurance policy. Aaron Rodgers sat for 3 full seasons before he ever got a shot and still managed to have a long long career. McKee isn't going to be hurt by this. What would hurt him would be shipping him off to a team like the Giants with nothing around him and he gets pummeled just like David Carr was in Houston. Letting him stick around and leave via free agency might actually be the best thing for him, because then he gets to pick his own destination.

That fumble looked a lot like a poor pitch from DTR... just sayin'.
