What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

No. I’m not coming at you that way at all. I was inviting you to discuss back and forth what those highlights tell us about Patullo’s play calling and play design.

Since my question was too obscure, let me share with you why I looked at those highlights, and what I saw.

My thinking was that those plays were all passes, and they would give me a good opportunity to see what kind of pass protection Will Shipley provided for McKee, since the biggest knock on Shipley has been his reliability as a pass protector.

Seeing how McKee, Cooper, Dotson, Wilson and Smith did was incidental … but I did expect it to be fun.

So what did I find out? In all those McKee pass completion plays, Shipley didn’t stay in the backfield to block even once. Every play on the snap of the ball he was instantly in motion going out in a pass pattern, mostly to the flat, but occasionally over the middle. So I never once got to see Shipley block a defender.

What does that tell us about Kevin Patullo as a play caller and a play designer?

Probably not much

Im sure they were trying out some new things but best to test the OL And qb on protrctions without much help in preseason

Vic Fangio said the touchdown Kelee Ringo gave up is a good learning experience. Fangio called Cover 0 for the evaluation process. Said he’s not upset Ringo gave up a catch; upset he didn’t tackle Ja’Marr Chase.

As ESP would say... "I agree."

Brandon Brooks and Fletcher Cox attending practice. Suh here too.

Suit Brooks up. We need a RG!

Vic Fangio said he is looking for someone to surface and earn a roster spot among the backup EDGEs on the roster

Never mind backup, how about starters? Nolan has been in the tub and Hunt is still in the learning & growing phases. A bonafide legit starter would make things much better for this team looking to repeat.

Already second team. Bad for Ricks

Isn't that why we signed Avery Williams?

I thought so, but he’s done nothing there

Or maybe not yet

Outside or slot routes? ESP and BLG are so detailed

Something to note about Bennett… I read that the Raiders played a little more of a Fangio-style scheme last year. Maybe the transition won’t be so difficult.

@just relax

The All22 is up. Will try to watch it.

Should have traded him while we had all those offers of 1's

Good to see Marshall getting back to work. He was having a good camp and now may be behind in the roster battle due to an inexplicable good game from Wilson.

Cooper taking first team reps at WR today.

Give Ricks a chance

This chart is incorrect, Eagles should be in the orange column according to some

Big if true!

Jahan Dotson suggesting an openness to being the PR. Darius Cooper might enable that if he makes the roster.

If I'm Howie I am on the phone with the bad teams in rebuild mode trying to find a DE and maybe a S.

New Orleans for instance with our former OC there. Maybe the Raiders Jets Seahawks or Jags.

I would imagine our 3rd round pick with a marginal player or two might shake loose a starting caliber DE.

We need reinforcement there.

I'm sure Howie is just riding the lazy river at Morey's Pier right now.

Why a S? Mukuba just returned to practice. Brown is performing well. I have been Saw no issues with McCollum from Thursday night. Cine has been decent in camp. Did see a Hook miscue on Thursday with the threes. I will try to watch the All22 but what specifically did you see on Thursday that makes you say that?

Eagles DEs are DTs when they have the 3/4 alignment a bunch of the time and Moro is balling. Even when they go two DTs and two OLBs in edge alignments, what specifically are you seeing in them setting the edge or rushing the passer? Concerns with their coverage, when they drop? Technique? Ogbo was a bit off on a tackle and pursuing a running back but it wasn’t from failing to seal. Uche got tangled with a tackle on one play. I’ll try to watch the All22 but with the reality that PS D is about isolation and revealing little to observe how the players deal with stress plays.
