Best way to get film and real feedback on technique. I know you’re on the Ringo train and I’ll trust that. I definitely the past couple years since retirement and now having the baby, haven’t been the ultra film nerd i used to be. I think ultimately Ringo can be serviceable out there. If Mukuba works out and Campbell is healthy, Vic will probably be happy not having to scheme around Dean’s weaknesses and hoping CJGJ has his head on right any given play and just focusing on getting Ringo fundamentally sound.

Not on the Kelee train, or for that matter on the panic OMG we need a CB2 train. But after over 40 years of following NFL PS games, I am never in the panic room on D. Absolutely, players are isolated and stressed in PS on D. No game plan, no film prep, just a focus on fundamentals. I have commented, probably ad nauseum to some, that Ringo needs to low hip and use NFL permitted hands. There is a film of Q "covering” AJ. (Respect as a D guy for AJ, he may be as hard to cover in a completely opposite way as Marvin Harrison SR). Q is slapping him with hands on every try. That said Ringo can mirror. Serviceable? Maybe. But I think he will be better than Jalen Mills or Steven Nelson. I don’t think he will be better than Slay was last year. Watching the All22, I think Ringo was a bit better than Jackson. Waiting to see Bennett.

I think Ringo needs active reps. So do McWilliams, Mukuba, Brown, Trot2, Campbell and Mondon. Can’t tell for sure with any until we see the real D with the starters. I like that Howie brought in a vet for insurance (Jackson) and another young blood for competition (Bennett). But I stopped overreacting to PS games quite a while ago. The overreacting I have seen from some since Thursday is crazy.

Also, I wish the Ringo to S talk would stop. That’s nonsense.

Now the reaction on a misunderstood DB drill today was nuts. From that angle i couldn’t tell the straightness of the backpedal or tightness of the turn. It’s a muscle memory drill. Same drill I ran 55 years ago. HE commented on the speed. Coach Green never commented on speed to me on that drill, it was minimum wasted steps (no extra steps in the step and turn) and directional maintenance (staying straight). Also on the backpedal, he would yell toes, just like a dancer. (Basically balls not heels because it is easier to turn on the balls of the feet).

Enjoy the child, so much better than watching football film.

Landon is probably going to be fine, just craving an uncrustable

Damn guys, the injury fairies giveth and they taketh away...

Kempski seems to think if Landon is out awhile Steen moves to LG and Pryor is the RG.

OL experts please sound in on this?

How bad will it be?

Yuck. Can’t imagine Howie doesn’t use one of his 20 draft picks to bring someone in if needed

Hard to see much but may just have hyperextended it? No one fell in to it. Didnt see a weird twist or buckle... might have jammed the leg in to the ground with a straight knee and hyper extended it. Which would be a huge sigh of relief.

Who's out there at LG via trade?

Homework time

Thats my best guess from video footage that looks similar in quality to big foot sightings.

I think you may be right.

What's the time table on that?

If you go to the settings icon at the bottom of the video and slow it down to 0.5 you can try to get a better look. I think he hyper extends it on his final step back and reflexively pulls his foot up. Thats when his feet come together. Thats not the injury, stepping on his own foot. Then we would be talking about an ankle.

Id also be worried about an achilles with that final step backwards but apparently he was grabbing his knee, not his lower leg so... Thinking hyperextended knee. Best case scenario, bone bruise. And hes not a PUSS like Paul George so he will be back and be fine.

Theyll MRI it and see how deep, or not, the bone is bruised. It could be a 2 week thing, could be a 4 week thing, but in any event even the most minor bone bruise, Id expect him to miss the rest of camp/pre-season and just be ready to play week 1.

The left side is Steens's natural side. Pryor is a right side player so they will be the 2 OGs till the big guy returns

Test of depth here we go

Next man up

That wouldn't be that bad. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

How does it sound?

If we all eat Uncrustables at the same time, we can heal it with our minds

Like Dickerson will miss some time to start the season
