Couple thoughts

This is almost assuredly a situation set up to make the offense look good for the fans. Tough call for the defense. Single high, with 2 deep routes happening on opposite sidelines, as far apart as possible. Really stressing the single high safety.

Brown was a step late, but thats a really good call for the offense against that defense which may have been by design.

At the same time, Hurts didnt really look off the safety at all. Brown probably could have read his eyes and got there sooner.

I would kind of like to see Hurts look him off and then throw that wheel route to the RB which looks like it was Barkley 1 on 1 with Campbell. Or look at Barkley first to create the 1 on 1 throw to Smith. Instead, he looked at Smith pretty much the whole way, and ended up having to thread the needle with safety help coming and tight coverage from DeJean.

Throw was on the money.

Stepping away from Landon watch for a minute… very interesting to see Bennett get reps with the 1s already. If he truly can pick things up and win the job, I do think Jackson’s roster spot suddenly is in jeopardy and Ricks has a shot. I figured Jackson was safe just by being a vet and Bemnett being too far behind. Maybe that’s not the case.

I really like seeing Darius Cooper getting reps as a gunner and returner. We could use a depth WR who can actually contribute in those areas.

Did you see the stupid video with 2 eagles OL (combined total) going against 1 professional eater? The professional eater let them have a head start and he demolished about 60 of those things. Eagles guys might not have hit double digits without help from 2 more OL. They ended up with like 4 guys eating. And I think it was 5 minutes. Not 15.

Oof. I wouldn't feel comfortable at all with Steen and Pryor. It sucks to have change at 2 positions. I guess the positive side is that it happened early enough in preseason that they'll get a ton of reps before week 1

I suspect if someone has to fill in at guard, Kendall might factor in to the picture somehow. Either at guard himself, or taking the starting Center role for Jurgens to slide out to guard.

They have been developing Steen at RG only for 3 years. I wouldn’t expect them to randomly switch him to LG.

With Landon's teammates acting the way they were, it doesn't sound good whatsoever. I'd hate to think it's the achilles but I have a very dire and ill feeling that's what it is. Maybe we get lucky and dodge a bullet, gotta just hope at this point.

Yeah. If it wasnt for reports about a knee, thatd be my guess. And youre right about the reactions. Seems to suggest they know something already. It could be that the beats got it wrong.
