What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

If Dickerson has to start the year on IR, I think Keegan makes the initial 53 over Green (who is also hurt). I would think these would be the 10, if Landon starts year on IR.

Mailata, Steen, Jurgens, Pryor, Johnson, Lamm, Kendall, Kinnard, Keegan, Hinton.

With the new PS rules, look for them to stash a veteran or two OL on the PS.

Comes down to the current roster and who Howie thinks will make it through waivers, Kinnard or Lamm are a good bet for that role.

Otherwise he'll pick up a body off the waiver wire and let Stout do his magic.

I don't think they risk Lamm -- he should be the swing tackle on gameday. I could see them trying to sneak Kinnard through, but the options behind him are pretty bare if he gets claimed. If Dickerson goes to IR (hopefully with designation to return), it let's them keep all the guys at initial cut down, and then you try and get Keegan or Kinnard to the PS when Landon comes back.

If we want to sign someone, does Brandon Scherff have anything left?

It's not panic mode, but this is the perfect situation for Howie to use some of our draft capital to go after a legit replacement.

That's IF it's a serious injury and the right opportunity presented itself.

With a SB window like this team has, you don't freak out, but you don't play it conservative either.

Pryor is a 'legit replacement'. He is the prototypical #6 OL. Has started recently and won't be playing out of position.

The FO knows him and felt comfortable bringing back.

Nobody is trading a good guard a week into the preseason.

We’ve been spoiled having a Steen level backup riding the bench for 2 years, and Fred Johnson last year too.

We could get through a month with Matt Pryor. If Dickerson’s injury is worst case scenario, I’d be on the phone with Scherff’s agent trying to get him in for a workout.

How do you block someone here?

Apply to stoutland university and learn from the expert. Or, maybe JR can show you.

Good, solid base, get your hands up into them quickly with power and suddenness, and keep moving your feet.

Damn. Work got in the way and you beat me too an OL blocking joke.

I think the only guy I heard of is Cole Strange, who is fairly athletic for running zone - but he's not the 330lbs+ massive player that you'd think that Stout prefers next to Jerky. Pryor is probably the best you can do at this point.

loltalk about a stressful Monday!

We're only a few weeks in to training camp and Howie's plan is already being tested. Letting everyone but Baun walk and signing 1-year deals while preparing to keep the young talent on D locked up long term was a risky move, but the right move. Now we're facing CB2 and OG questions.

I think Becton and Rodgers were two guys who made sense to bring back. Rodgers deal was 2-years $11.5 million with $7.9 guaranteed. Mekhi Becton signed a 2-year $20 million contract with $6.9 guaranteed. In total, the Eagles spent roughly $19 million with $9.5 million guaranteed in FA this year.

I'm sure Howie could have drawn up much more team friendly deals for those two had he wanted to. We'll see if Matt Pryor can is capable and if Jakorian Bennett can run away with CB2 or if any other moves will be made.

Meanwhile, in Dallas:

Very usual Dallas for Jerry Jones. 90 percent chance Micah stays in Dallas and signs later for more.

Can't guys usually walk if they have an ACL tear? Of course there are plenty of other bad knee/leg things.

Yes. Randall walked off after the Bryce Paup hit.

This is a "house-money" year. We have a ring with this core. Let the young guys play. Even WITH vets, we're likely not winning a SB. Might as well give the young guys reps to guys like Keegan and see what they can do.

It all just depends on the person. Carson played on a torn ACL. Some walk on it, some don't.

The silence around it is a little bit unsettling. You would think there would be some kind of initial update by now.

That's true. Actually walked to the locker room with a torn ACL and LCL.

On a PC, hover the mouse over the person's name... wait a moment and when the pop up comes up... click Ignore.
