It's not panic mode, but this is the perfect situation for Howie to use some of our draft capital to go after a legit replacement.

That's IF it's a serious injury and the right opportunity presented itself.

With a SB window like this team has, you don't freak out, but you don't play it conservative either.

What team has a better depth at OL than the Eagles that they have an immediate impact OG that they could trade away without massively hurting themselves in the immediate future?

If Nico Harrison were an NFL GM...🤣

This is a "house-money" year. We have a ring with this core. Let the young guys play. Even WITH vets, we're likely not winning a SB. Might as well give the young guys reps to guys like Keegan and see what they can do.

No idea what the betting line is but we should be a favorite to at least get to the SB again

Say it ain't so my friend. My son and I were going through the league (getting ready for fantasy season) and could barely find enough playoff teams. We're going to contend simply because our roster is so deep. There are teams out there where you don't want to draft anybody on their roster.

When the window is open to win now... how is it a house money year?

I’d add it’s not like the nfc isn’t overwhelmingly great. Lions lost both coordinators which is going to be an issue. Rams are dealing with stafford health issues. Bucs are down wirfs and also replacing their OC. Commanders are dealing with mclaurin contract and frankly might regress due to their schedule. Vikings have mccarthy at qb who’s never played an nfl game. Packers are just an OK team. Niners talent wise aren’t what they’ve been. It’s not as if the eagles couldnt win the nfc again and be in the Super Bowl.

They have been developing Steen at RG only for 3 years. I wouldn’t expect them to randomly switch him to LG.

Kempski suggested they would switch him and maybe that's because Jurgens played RG in the past.

Would Still do a confirmatory with an acl. Could be a partial

More concerned about a pcl or cartilage

I am pretty sure they can tell a PCL injury via physical exam.

Very usual Dallas for Jerry Jones. 90 percent chance Micah stays in Dallas and signs later for more.

I saw an article a few days ago that basically projected the next three years for Micah like this if Jerry wants to...based on current position salaries:

2025 - 21m

2026 - Franchise tag @ 26.5m

2027 - Franchise tag @ 31.8m

I also read somewhere that Micah could retire, sit a year, and then re-enter the league if Jerry were to do this. I thought the franchise tag would pay him a lot more but evidently he's rated at the LB salary vs EDGE. I don't know what I don't know so consume this rambling with a grain of salt. If this is true, DAL would be getting him at a great price, the question is would they really be getting the best player Micah can be?

I was thinking that no news is good news about Dickerson, but now it’s getting past that point and now no news feels like bad news…if that makes sense to anyone else

As the defending champs, there is no real pressure to "win now". No one is getting fired if we lose. The main guys on the roster aren't getting cut. If we lose in the wild-card round it'll be a bummer, but the 2024 banner doesn't go away. We're not the Ravens/Bills who are desperate and feeling the pressure.

Howie spent the off-season trying to maximize the 2026-2028 window, not putting our chips in for 2025. Had he really wanted to, we could have kept Becton/Rodgers but that would have meant losing guys next off-season.

Not sure, but every year there are opportunities.

Some team will have an abundance at a particular position with a good vet that they have the replacement waiting in the wings making them available.

Burrow over Allen and Jackson seems to me like they only have one idea of how the QB should play. Goff being ahead of Hurts seems dumb. Daniels at 6 is an overreaction to one good season. Lawrence being ahead of Geno Smith is based on his draft position and nothing else.

And then of course there is Herbert, a man who craps his pants in any important game, but looks great in week 6 against Las Vegas...

They know by now if it’s severe or not. The MRI is just to confirm. So the fact that they are keeping it mum has me concerned.

6, 7, and 8 ranked better than Hurts is questionable.

I think the silence is mainly since today is an off day -- reporters aren't at Novacare.

Fair point. Lions, Rams. Ravens, Bills. It's a pretty short list of the contenders.

I wouldn't call that exactly a house money scenario though.

They also already did the MRI by now I'd bet.

Yes easily. But they wouldn't announce anything till MRI anyway.
