What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

Thats weird. They are usually pretty clear on MRI. Maybe he actually did not have the MRI yet? Schefters tweet actually does not say that he had it yet.

My glass half full thought is a larger/complete tear would be easy to see and diagnose.

I would think he would have had to have it already if he’s seeking additional opinions.

You forgot the most important option....DO NOT use Embiid's doctor!

The most important part is Dickerson is a leader among men, where Embiid ....... is clearly not.

The important games are in January and February; Dickerson will do everything he can to make a recovery to be full strength -- hopefully by then.

So we scheduled an extra long practice as that's the only one fans were allowed to attend and he got hurt late into the practice.

We do that at times.

Just a word of caution, I know the AI is giving a 6 month timetable, which already puts us in February. But It can be closer to 9 months. So, its basically a season ender if he gets the repair.

Went and saw the new naked gun movie. During the credits they had their Netflix password as a credit. The password was "Embiidsknees76!!!”

There's just as much possibility that the choices are between option 1 and 2 as it is between 2 and 3.

The fact that It's not an achilles or ACL is already good news.

There's still a chance for this season, and a reasonable one at that.

Was going to say option 1 and 2 is realistic if they believe there’s a chance he could be back 3-4 weeks with no surgery if things go well. But if they don’t and they waited 3 weeks and he needs the trim now he’s missing 6 weeks on top of the 3 he’s already missed. so decision could be just do the trim and accept he’s out 6 weeks. Or go no surgery hoping he’s back sooner

If he misses 5 months and they are in the playoffs I very much doubt you’d insert him in the lineup cold at that point anyway.

Why even bother with medical school nowadays.

We would absolutely play Landon cold as long as he's healthy.

Yeah...dont know. 6 months puts you at a heroic super bowl comeback. But Im just saying, it may take more than 6 months. Dont expect to see him this season if he gets the repair.

Landon Dickerson: Tough as NAILS

BIGLY!

Atta boy Landon!!!!

Glad that I no longer have to research meniscus recovery timelines

You knew with super bowl aspirations he wasnt going to miss the season if a snip was a realistic option. Just depended where/what kind of tear he had. Great news.

"Avoided major injury" sounds like it was not a bad tear.

I never suspected ACL anyway, but can we get someone to tell Lane to hold off on throwing his helmet like he just learned Landon died next time? THATS why we had reason to panic. And it was over nothing.

Dodged a bullet with Dickerson. Thank the football gods

Those are both basically the same recovery timeline though. What benefit would it be to not get a trim?

If you can get it to heal on its own, your knee won’t be spent before you’re 50

For a man over 300 lbs, this basically guarantees knee replacement surgery earlier than most would expect
